Move went great! They arrived exactly on time. Both movers were extremely professional and kind. They took special care of all my belongings. I don't recall them taking one break hence they were not trying to milk the clock to get more hours (company charges at hourly rate). Nothing was damaged and everything was done that they said was going to be done. I will definitely reccomend them to anyone else and I will also be a loyal customer if/when I need moving services again.

This company was extremely honest and professional throughout the entire process. All the people I talked to on the phone were friendly, responsive and helpful. They gave me an estimate more detailed than any other firm I talked to, and even gave me pointers for questions to ask should I decide to use someone else. They also gave me hints to help minimize my cost, as I was on a tight budget. Two movers arrived right on time, moved quickly and asked me questions to make sure everything was handled and placed correctly. They got the entire job done in under 3 hours, including the 65 minute drive. I was astounded and very pleased to have saved a lot of time, money and stress. I will recommend this company without reservations.

Everything went very well. John Mitchell's guys were young, fit, and attentitive - we felt very confident with them moving our belongings. Scheduling and communicating with the office was also very easy. We'd watched many people move in & out of our apartment building downtown, and it was almost uncomfortable at times to watch how movers didn't care for the items; we had no concerns with our movers! Day-of, they went above and beyond. The previous homeowner left a very, very large and heavy desk in our loft; the movers helped us move it a bit and remove a carpet from underneath. The guys were very nice and professional. They did a really good job and I've contacted them for another smaller job, too.

The service was excellent. The company was sensitive to the fact we wanted to keep the entire move under two hours. They made wonderful suggestions about what we could do to help them meet this goal. The workers showed up on time; quickly went to work; and were able to perform the entire move in less than two hours.

Seamless experience from start to finish. We moved about 30 miles and needed help with the large, heavy items. All my initial questions were answered and the move was scheduled with one call. Our move required 3 guys due to weight of the items, including a piano. I called several times thereafter to adjust the moving date, which was never a problem. The quote was based on time needed, and was quite accurate in the end. We moved the majority of household ourselves, and used movers for shelving, furniture, mattresses, piano; things that didn't fit in our car. They arrived on time and were very efficient. They took care in unloading to insure no damage occurred. The only negative I can think of is the looks of the truck; it could use a facelift! I would use them again.

This move was as smooth as I could have hoped for. There were a few bumps along the way as with any move. I contacted John Mitchell Moving after looking at their reviews on Angie's List. They were able to accommodate a time to come do an estimate on my lunch break from work. It was quoted as a one day pack/move; however, when the guys arrived as scheduled on a Saturday, they immediately called in to make sure I had a second day book just in case. I am glad they did, because there were other people moving out of my apartment building (moving themselves) that were not as well prepared for the move that were blocking the main exit of the building with their trailer. The guys had been very mindful to ask if I might need certain things if my move were to extend beyond that day. Fortunately I had already packed a bag before they got there, but the fact that they thought to ask was very helpful in case I had actually forgotten something. Day 2 of the move rolled around and they came in and knocked it out. Overall this was a pleasant experience and I would recommend John Mitchell Moving to others.

This was one of the easiest moving experiences I could've imagined. We were so pleased with this company from start to finish. They were extremely prompt in getting us a quote. Someone came to our home and gave us a max bid. Their max bid was lower than the other two companies we had quote us. On moving day they said they'd show up between 8:45am and 9am. The trucks showed up at 8:44am and they were loading furniture by 8:50am. The team of movers were VERY professional, courteous and friendly. I have moved before with another company so i was actually surprised at how professional their staff was. They moved us out very quickly and were careful with our things. At our new home, they again moved efficiently and were sure to consult me on where to put all our furniture. They finished an hour sooner than they had quoted me so I was thrilled. I would highly recommend this company to anyone I know. We could not have had a more pleasant experience.

My parents were downsizing to a smaller home and moving from Southern Indiana to Coatsville Indiana. They have lived the the location for 32 years as part of the process some furniture and appliances needed to be moved to Indianapolis and Carmel. From the first contact with John and then Ann we were put totally at ease. The estimate was very close to the final cost. The day of the move was seamless. Todd and Todd arrived on time were very careful with the furniture items moved. They also moved items within two homes. They were courteous and respectful. Despite the long day of moving, they remained professional and helpful. At the end of the day the cost of the move was less than the estimate. For our family they took the stress out of moving and we would all definatly use them again.

When John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck came to do the estimate he said they would send four guys and two trucks. The day they came to do the service they sent six guys and three trucks and they got it done in the most efficient manner. They came in under the estimate of what they originally told me it was going to cost because they got it done so much quicker. They were extremely attentive to where my wife wanted things put in the new house. Nothing was damaged. It was almost scary watching them, you just got the heck out of the way! They did an excellent job. We had to juggle schedules and when we finally decided what day we wanted to do it they were right on time and worked around my schedule. I would definitely use them again.

My wife contacted this company to provide an estimate for moving some furniture and other items to an assisted living facility for her parents. The estimate was accepted by her and a date of Monday, March 3rd at 9:00 a.m. was set for the move. On Fiday, February 28 she contacted this company to determine what alternative plans could be made if the forecasted winter storm was to prohibit the scheduled move. An alternative date of Wednesday, March 5th was agreed upon as a backup. The heavy snowfall did not materialize and we were all ready for the move at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning as scheduled. When nobody from this company showed up by 9:30, my wife called them and was told that their movers were not scheduled for work due to the weather forecast. We received NO PHONE CALL OR OTHER NOTIFICATION of them not coming at this scheduled date and time. Upon learning this information, we immediately decided to have this service performed by another company.

This involved two moves and 3 locations as I sold my house and then had to find another. They gave me a thorough estimate before the move. Were right on time for both moves. They were friendly and made a tough situation fun. They handled all of my stuff with great care (no damage to anything). It just couldn't have been done any better.

Everything went pretty well and I would recommend them. I contacted like three different companies that also gives free estimates and John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck was the only one who actually came out and did the estimate. Everybody else there thought it's so much for hour and that doesn't help me any if I don't know how many hours the estimate takes.

We have moved over 20 times with the military and business in the past 40 years and this was the best mover we have ever used. The estimator arrived the day after we called in for an estimate. He was professional, on time and offered several suggestions that would save us money and make the move easier. The estimate beat two others we solicited. The day of the move the 2 trucks and team of five movers arrived about 10 minutes early. They surveyed the house, put a game plan in action and immediately went to work. They beat the estimated time to move by over two hours, nothing was broken or damaged (even after unpacking over 120 boxes). Everything was was placed where we wanted it. The 5 movers were all experienced and had been with "Two Guys" several years. They didn't take a break all day. This was a local move made during Jan. 2014. We did the packing / unpacking and disassembled all required furniture and exercise equipment. All boxes were labeled and color coded as to where they went in the new house. The new house had signage placed for the three designated color coded areas for boxes. My wife directed placement of furniture at the new house. We couldn't be happier with the Two Guys & A Truck team. Don't get them confused with Two Men and A Truck - Two Guys is a locally owned company, not a franchise.

I received an estimate of $1300.00 for 6 hours, two trucks and 4 men from a service rep. I requested a Certificate of Insurance and they very prompted emailed one to me. On the day of our move it was pretty cold. Four men and two trucks arrived at 8:15. They looked over everything that we wanted moved and started right in loading the trucks. There were several very large and very heavy pieces and the men worked in teams of two and managed to figure out the very best way to load the trucks. Everything was well packed in wrapping quilts. They unloaded at the new location and, some furniture did not fit where I thought it would and they moved it and helped solve that issue. By 12:15 they were done and because it only took four hours instead of 6, they only charged $800.00 instead of the $1300.00 that was quoted. The men worked extremely well as a team. All appeared to have lots of experience of moving furniture.

They did a nice job packing and unpacking the truck. Nothing was damaged. They were careful with our walls and floor. They do not, however, put together beds, etc. I wasn't expecting that, but I know some services do. Overall the 3 men were friendly and did their job well.

The move did Not go well at all! 3 men came and showed up late.. They moaned and groaned thru most of the move. They were Not friendly. They acted like it was a chore to talk to us. Only one would sigh and say "What do you want?" if we persisted. The other two wanted nothing to do with talking to,or listening to us about anything. They were very slow and took many breaks that ended up costing us more money than originally quoted. They broke an antique desk apart after being told it was fragile and they should move it as a whole piece, like it had been moved a few months previously when my parents sold their home and moved to an apartment until their new place was ready. They would not move lamps. They would not move bagged clothes. There were several items left when they said he were done and ready to go. They complained about each other and the move in general. They refused to use the elevator at the new place and carried everything up 3 flights. One man would come up two and three times more than the other two. I had to leave for about 20 minutes. One of the movers was sitting in the front of the truck when I left and was still there when I got back. I think it was Very unfair to charge us more for time when they loafed a lot! We were Very disappointed in this move as we had heard good things about this company and read good reviews on Angie's List! We will Not use them again!

The four individuals were all very friendly.

The movers were prompt and worked hard to get the job done. All items were moved with care and no items were damaged or harmed in anyway. Employees were nice and worked hard. If they took a short break they let me know before doing so. Every items was placed in the room that I requested and a couple of items were even moved a second time when I realized some of my space ideas did not work. We would work with this company again.

There are none and I have no access to items other than those in front. Some of my antiques are stacked on top of each other to the ceiling and that concerns me. Since I am still in storage, I don't know at this point if there is damage.

Thy were punctual, professional and fast. They charged an hourly charge but it was reasonable.

The crew was set to arrive at the apartment at 9 a.m. to load the apartment and then drive the the storage unit and load everything else them taking all of it to our new home to unload. My husband and I both took off of work for the entire day, had the entire apartment prepped and ready to move the night before and made arrangements so our young children would not be home and in the way during the process. The crew did not show up. We waited until 10 a.m. and called the moving company office. They explained that our crew did not show up for work -- none of them and they did not have any other people available, but that they were working on a plan. We did not hear back from the office. We then had to call again and left messages as no one answered the office phone. We did not hear back from the office until we again had to call for a status update. At this time, it was afternoon and we were extremely stressed. We finally heard back from the office saying they were going to send out three crews as soon as they finished their current jobs. Those crews started arriving at 3:30 p.m. By this time, our kids were home, we had no furniture in our new house and we were stressed beyond belief. The first truck arrived and had all of our apartment furniture. I was home with the kids directing placement while my husband was at the storage unit with the other trucks. The first truck was almost completely unloaded when the other two arrived. We had 8 men bringing things in rapidly and it was too much. It was getting dark outside, the men were in and out so quickly I didn't have any time to direct were things went so many boxes ended up in the wrong place, dirty shoes stained my brand new white carpets and my brand new wood floors had two new scratches. I spent the first night in our new house cleaning stains out of my carpets and days after shifting boxes that ended up in the wrong place. No discount was given and although the men who arrived were respectful and accommodating, they were tired. They all had two jobs before ours and were very ready to unload and leave, something I completely understood. I can't fault the entire organization for a few guys not showing up to work, but they needed to better communicate with us and it seemed obvious to me they owed us a discount. My husband and I both lost an entire vacation day at work waiting for movers that didn't show up.
