Timely on giving free estimate as well as job scheduling. The estimated price was exactly what he charged. Guaranteed satisfaction or would redo the job (especially to match the color). Cleaned up after the job. Very satisfied.

Randy gave some really great suggestions, and was very open to my suggestions and opinions. I wasn't concerned about replacing the old brick, with red brick. However, Randy suggested that we should use red brick, at least above grade for aesthetics. So glad we did! Everything was dug by hand, because of the layout of our property. I was amazed at how hard these guys worked! Our two biggest concerns were that the electrical box was on one of the walls being replaced, and making sure the house was going to be supported properly. Randy and his employees were able to work around, and then behind the mounting board the electric box was on, without our having to have an electrician out! As far as making sure everything was supported, wow! They fed steel ibeams through, and across all of the ceiling joists. The job took longer than expected, but a lot of that had to do with the weather. Randy was very concerned about keeping rain out of the basement. They hung tarps from the side of the house, which were rolled out and weighted every day before they left. And even bought a long plastic extender for the downspout right there. I am thrilled with how it all went, and how terrific it looks! Our basement isn't a finished basement, but it's now structurally safe, and a basement instead of a cellar!

Randy Arvin was a recommendation of Top Notch Masonry, when the work I needed done wasn't big enough for Top Notch. Randy came out to the house, took a look, said he would get an estimate to me, and I never heard from him again.

The Arvin's are very polite and responsive and gave us an estimate for the basement work. The work was delayed many times because of rain or other problems. The work was completed on July 10th.

Great! They were quick to respond and the workers were professional. We are very pleased with their work and we are going to have them come back in the spring to seal our driveway.

The contractor arrived as promised. They removed 3-4 coursed at the top of the chimney, reconfigured them with new bricks to allow water to drain better, finished off the cap, and had it inspected by us. They were done, cleaned up after themselves, and were gone within the working day. Looks great!

After getting several quotes from other masons and positive references, we hired Arvin Masonry to repair an arched courtyard garden wall and re-brick our chimney. Randy Arvin was the only one of several masons that seemed to understand our situation, desires, and concerns, and really took the time to listen and work with us. This was very instrumental in giving us a sense of comfort to hire him as this was a big job and a job which would impact the architecture of our home greatly. After several meetings with Randy we decided that a complete tear down of the garden wall and a rebuild with new brick and stronger mortar, albeit more costly, was the best route to take than a more general repair. The Arvin Team was a delight to work with. Tearing down an 8' brick wall is no easy task and yet the Arvin Team worked diligently and professionally. At the end of each day they thoughtfully and neatly cleaned up. After assessing that the original footing was solid the work to rebuild the wall began. This, too, was no easy task as it involved building wooden forms to recreate the arches. Randy was methodical, imaginative, and very organized. It was really so much fun to watch the progress each day and I think even the team enjoyed seeing the job come to life. When I gently asked if it would be possible to add a change here or there Randy was very flexible and supportive. For example, I had the idea to build a small decorative niche/recess into the wall and Randy didn't hesitate to make this happen. The result is fabulous! Randy's crew was very gentlemanly and respectful of me and my home. I was amazed at how neat they left their work area each day and when the wall was complete there was only a minimal amount of damage to the lawn which a few rains quickly restored. Once the wall was complete Randy tore down and re-bricked our chimney. He was very attentive to the weather to ensure that the job got finished before any expected rains came. They built a scaffolding and laid tarp surrounding the chimney to protect the shingles. They also laid tarp around the plantings. Now that the wall and chimney are done we are letting the brick cure and Randy will return to apply a sealer/repellent. Even regarding the sealer Randy was patient and understanding in working with me to ensure that we chose the best and appropriate product. All in all, if the funds were limitless, we have a wishlist of projects which we wouldn't hesitate to entrust to Randy. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and we can highly recommend Arvin Masonry.

The Arvin team was great! Randy came out to do an estimate very quickly after I contacted the company. I had a number of small projects, and another masonry firm that I called said that they couldn't fit in such a small project. Randy had some larger projects nearby and put me on his schedule for the very next day. His team worked quickly and everything looks great. I really appreciated Randy's attention to detail and his professionalism. He did some work in the crawl space of my finished basement, and there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere when he was through. He needed some more materials to finish one small item, and he came back promptly the next day and finished the project and even touched up some paint for me. I would definitely use Arvin again.

Shoulder ledges were gray cement, not colored matched to mortar. Okay job, but he seemed to be in a hurry to get the job done and move on.

It went very well. I had another estimate that was much more and doing less work. He did everything we agreed upon plus he repaired other areas we had not seen and still gave us the same price. He came back and inspected his work and redid a place he thought did not match up quite right in color. He also said he was insured but we did not see it on Angie's list. He sent us a copy of his insurance and said he would have it corrected on Angie's list.

The job was professionally performed and Randy Arvin did a great job on not only responding to my request, he came out the next day which was on a Saturday to look and quote the job. After I agreed to his proposal on Monday, he had materials in place in 4 days. They were at my home early in the morning and had the job knocked out in 5 days. I called 5 masonry companies on Angie's list and they were all 2-3 weeks out just to give an estimate. Randy understands customer service and listening to the customers needs. If he was 2-4 weeks out on doing the job. Randy Arvin did not delay coming out and quoting it which is how he won the job. The quality was excellent!

Randy came to the home with his crew and Did a superb job thoroughly. Pleasant complete workmanship. My father and 3 brothers were all bricklayers and i know recommended them to friends.

They were great. They were prompt and they showed up on time. The owner was really good at communicating. He told us what he was going to do and what needs to be done. At the end of each day while they were here, he would let us know where they were in the process.

They were punctual & pleasant. They were professional & completed the project in a time manner we can very pleasant.

They replaced our crumbling chimney. They were polite, knowledgable and plaseant to deal with. They explaned what needed to be done thoroughtly and were prompt. They left us with a clean work area and a beautiful new chimney. It turned out so nice we decided not to paint the chimney since the rest of our home is painted brick. They did an excellent job and we are thrilled with the results!
