Arvin Masonry

Randy and his excellent team did a remarkable job replacing three foundation/basement walls of my house. They also built a 12ft x 20ft concrete porch and replaced two concrete walkways. Randy took care of all the governmental permits to get this major project done. It didn't matter if it was a Sunday or holiday, if the weather was dry the crew was working. Randy was easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Arvin Masonry!

Randy Arvin was excellent! Randy is easy to communicate with and responsive to questions regarding the project. His crew did a great job and were open to suggestions when completing the job. Since they did a great job on our walkway, we hired them back to install two handrails.

Randy from Arvin came out shortly after making contact with me thru Angi.com and got me an estimate in a timely manner. I got several more quotes after I saw him, but he had the best price and sounded the most knowledgeable. Other companies tried to talk me into parging concrete over the old brick, but Randy was the only one who said we could save the brick and make it last another 40 years. After waiting several weeks to get back with him, Randy came over the same day I said I wanted to get started on the project to refresh on what we needed to do. His guys wanted to get started that day, and they did. Within a couple of days that had ground out all the old mortor, tuckpointed, and rebuild 1 section of the porch wall that had been cemented over previously (and the brick was falling apart) as well as a couple corner pillars that had been damaged by water. After they were done, they cleaned all the brick. When cleaning, some of the old mortar that hadn't been touched came out, but the crew from Arvin's came back out and fixed those sections up, too. Overall, great to deal with, great quality, and I would DEFINATELY recomment.

I contacted Randy and he made an appointment to review and discuss my moisture issues around the foundation in a corner of my garage. He listened to my observations & gave me some recommendations to help solve the issue. The workers arrived on the agreed day. They replaced some bricks in my front porch wall, power washed it & the porch concrete slab. They sealed the bricks along with the shoulder of my brick chimney. The foundation was exposed on the outside and materials placed over it and sealed to help prevent further seepage. Dirt was placed around part of another section of the garage outside to help channel water away from the foundation. I was very happy with Randy and his crew. Everything was completed and cleaned up before they left. I would definitely use them again.

I called to describe what we were looking to have done, spoke to Randy, told that his foreman would be calling to set up an appointment for an estimate of the work to be performed. I never heard back from this company. Have decided to do the work myself.

A couple things came up like broken blade and weather which prolonged the project which can happen. Randy kept me informed of everything. His crew did a fantastic job and most of all the appearance and quality was top notch.

Arvin Masonry is knowledgeable about the condition and maintenance of stone masonry. They came when scheduled, were careful with the landscaping, and were finished in a timely manner. They did an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone requiring stone maintenance.

The did an excellent job within my time frame and budget.

They show up on time to do the estimate and on time to do the work. They completed everything quickly and di a magnificent job. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything better than when they started. I will hire them again if I need them and I will recommend them to anyone looking for masonry work.

Randy, Russel and crew were great to work with. They gave a very fair price quote and did excellent work. Will definitely keep them in mind for future work.

I contacted him through email on AL and went back and forth for about two weeks to get an estimate. Finally came by and we met and talked about task. I have had other estimates, so I knew approx ball park of cost. His estimate came back literally thousands of dollars over. I live in Carmel don't assume I have a money tree in my backyard just because of that. Randy was very nice on phone and in person and prompt to come over and flexible with his time for appt. provided a picture of wall below.

Extremely satisfied with the workmanship and quality of the repair work. Crew was helpful, cheerful, and professional. Devoted time and labor to seeing that the project was doing right. Price was fair and we would recommend them for difficult masonry repair work.

The quality was good to excellent but mid communication waschallenging

Randy and his crew did exceptional work. Randy was very detailed with how he was going to fix it and did exactly that. He also gave me some ideas for another area that needs attention. I would suggest that if you want to use Randy be proactive and take the lead. He requested I follow up with him as he was going to be out of town and I did and he got the job done for me!

He did great work at a very reasonable price. We were impressed and would definitely hire him again.

Very well. Selling my house and needed someone quick to fix brick mortar so I could put my house on the market. Randy came out same day for estimate and did work within same week.

Randy discovered the problem, a load-bearing wall had been positioned between 2 floor joists. He raised the floor slightly so as not to crack interior walls and secured the subflooring so it wouldn't settle any more. He had quoted me 700-750 for the job, but he said it went well and ended up charging me 650. Randy does good work and is very responsive.

Randy is a pleasure to deal with, and the only one of the masons I spoke to who correctly identified the cause of the brick cracking in the major area (gutters over garage not running long enough and dumping all the water continuously over the broken area). So I was able to repair the source of the problem as well. When I told him seven months after the job that the cement (caulking) between the bricks was too dark and therefore stood out (as a repaired area), he came right back, removed it, and replaced it with a lighter color that now blends in very well.

They did excellent work. They grinded away the old morter and filled it in very cleanly. They also patched a cracked brick so well you can't see where it had cracked. I wanted it done before the weather turned because I didn't want snow and ice seeping in. They arrived a couple weeks later than I expected, but that was because they had had a pretty busy schedule with the mild weather, and they still got the job done well before winter set in. Mr. Arvin was very professional and responsive.

Randy was quite responsive to the original phone call and came out quickly to see the job. He seemed quite knowledgeable about what needed to be done. But then I didn't hear from him for quite a while. Since I had gotten some other estimates, I just sort of took him off my list. A few weeks after his initial visit he called to see if I still wanted an estimate - said he had been very busy. At that point, I decided I didn't want to take a chance that he would be that far behind on doing the estimate and the work so said I thought I would go a different direction. Had I gotten the estimate quickly, I might have been interested, but his early positive impression of understanding the work was overcome by the fact that I seemed to have been lost in the shuffle. I would want to be sure he could commit to timing if you were going to use him. His work might be very good - I just have no way of knowing.
