Everything went well. It was probably the best thing I have had done to my deck. The quality of work was really good.

From the estimate to the completion of the project we had a very good experience. Unfortunately through no fault of the company's we had weather issues, but they were very patient in working around our schedule to accommodate us and work around the weather. They worked with me on the stain color, Ro was very accomodating and helpful in color selection. All the employees were professional and courteous. They did a great job with clean-up as well.

I have used them before. I have got wood shake shingles and not everybody can work on those. I had them work on my roof about three years ago when I had some hail damage and as I said there are not many people who qualify to work on those so I went back to Exterior Wood Restoration because I knew they could do it. They were reasonable in terms of price. They were here when they said and did what they said they would do.

I had three companies look at it and they had different apporaches. I liked this company the best. I would use them again in the future, in fact I recommended them to my son.

We were very pleased with the work and the product. The main reason we hired Exterior Wood Restoration was because of its "Timber Ox Green" stain. I wanted an oil based stain because it offers more durability and protection than water based stains. However, I did not want to use a stain containing petroleum oil because of the volatile organic chemicals (VOC). Timber Ox Green uses only agricultural oils (castor and citrus). It is also certified as a USDA Bio-preferred stain. We definitely feel better about having the protection of oil without the VOCs associated with petroleum products. All of the people associated with Exterior Wood Restoration were polite and friendly. I really enjoyed dealing with them. Rogelio Campos was great. He and his crew of two men worked efficiently and did a very good job. The stain was applied evenly and carefully on all the decks. There was no sloppy application or splattering of stain that I could see. Overall, we had an excellent experience and recommend Exterior Wood Restoration highly.

In regards to the question of would we use this company again: yes, we possibly would. They do give a warranty and we will use that if necessary. We would probably talk with them in depth about our concerns listed below before engaging them for a new project. For the most part, we were very pleased. The estimate was given promptly and accurately. The crews arrived and completed their work in a clean, professional, and timely fashion. The only complaint that we had was the sometimes confusing communication, or sometimes lack of, especially between the estimate and the beginning of the project. We understood that the project would start in mid-June but received a call in mid-May that they would be out to power wash the next day. Then we heard nothing for a week and had to call to figure out what was happening next (repair? stain? and when?) We understood that weather was a big factor but without keeping us in the loop - they ended up scheduling to complete the project right before a big birthday party we had planned. There was significant scrambling to try to either finish in time that people could actually walk on the deck during the party and not cause damage or to finish the following week. In the end it all worked out but it would have been less stressful if they had just talked to us more frequently about what was happening with the schedule. The deck looks pretty good, although we were under the assumption that someone would evaluate the finished project with us prior to billing and this did not occur. The bill was received and paid but we would probably have mentioned that the stain coverage was uneven in many places....

From the salesperson to the work crew and especially "Rohelio" the advice and explanation of what needed to be done was discussed before any work was begun. Extra attention was paid to the dried out areas. The pergola was cleaned and stained also. Something that other companies wanted to charge much more to do. They cleaned up and except for the new look of the deck you would never know they were here.

We had some scheduling trouble due to the weather. He was doing his best to work me in. In the end I knew it was a weather problem, so it wasn't a big deal. They did get it done, and the only real problem that I have now is it is so waterproof that the water beads up and I literally have a lake on the deck. It is reasonably priced, they did a great job and it is certainly waterproof.

They were very accommodating in regard to an estimate. They did the work in a very efficient and orderly manor. They cleaned up well and returned the furniture to the deck. They did a good job.

Deck was completed, but it took several weeks. There was also some miscommunication about what was to be stained, and part of the deck was not completed initially. The quality was okay, but it was explained to me that the quality was due to the age and condition of the wood already present on our deck. The workers left paint brushes and various other tools/trash throughout our yard for us to clean up and stain was accidentally sprayed on our concrete pool deck. The owner called and was very apologetic and professional. He assured me that any future business with them would exceed expectations.

Underestimated materials needed. Returned twice to do additional shake installation (at no charge). Failed to finish job by not coming back to apply shake preservative/treatment in spite of promising to do so... for months. They didn't charge for the treatment, which would have added an additional $2500 to the $5000 charged for wood replacement, as it wasn't done. But it needed to be done soon after the wood was replaced to keep the roof from deteriorating further. So now some of the work, pressure washing at least, will have to duplicated at extra expense to me before the roof can be treated. There is no formal inspection process for the work done. If the estimate is for 'x' bundles of shake, that's what you get. In reality you may need more, but there's no quality control to catch that except by the client. To be fair, I'm a demanding customer. But when you're paying $7500 to 'service' a roof I believe you have the right to expect top notch performance.

The deck was in terrible condition. They worked very hard. The finished deck more then meets our expectations. They worked around our schedule.

They have a chemist that made a formula that is best for log homes. We were very happy with their work. The price was a little high, but they did a great job.

Our insurance company complained that Exterior Wood were specialists, highly professional and were cornering them and they felt at a disadvantage. I liked the fact that excellence, professionalism and persistence put our insurance company in the position to do the right thing. Their knowledge of a specialized area and dedication to saving shake shingle roofs translates their wanting to go the extra mile in being thorough and professional. In one case an insurance adjustor arrived set against any chance that there was hail damage and he went away after touring the roof with Todd Forth sure that there was. We had some travel constraints once we were able to get a new roof and Exterior Wood did their best to work within our dates. They are good about keeping in touch and answering your questions. I didn't compare their prices to other shake shingle companies but I did compare their prices to 3 dimensional asphalt roofs & it was just a bit more expensive to go with the

Company was very thorough, cleaned up after each day's work, and then sent a team to wash all exterior windows and cleaned carpet on screened porch. Workers were hard working and pleasant to have around. Company called after work was completed to check on our satisfaction. Roof looks new and several neighbors thought we got an entirely new roof. Not the cheapest, but considered one of the best companies in the state.

John Nearon/VP of Sales/Marketing was very easy to work with. He was polite and answered all my questions. The deck had lost color and needed sanding and more color. After restoration, John mentioned a new item--Clear Wood Lacquer--which gives added protection to the deck and a nice shine or polish that looks really great over the wood! I believe Exterior Wood went above and beyond in every category--repairing boards, sanding an entire floor, and getting the color that I wanted. Rogilio (the deck supervisor) was wonderful! He listened to what I wanted done and did a great job! He was on time, knew how to do the job right, and double-checked with the person who developed the lacquer when I had questions. I appreciate his attention to detail, such as pounding down nails that had come up over time. They gave me extra color finish and extra clear lacquer should I need it. I highly recommend this company and would use them again because of their quality work and their great service!

There was an issue with this job. We appreciate that Todd and John were professional and respectful, and that ultimately this matter was fully resolved to our complete satisfaction.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. I HAD SPOKE WITH THE OWNER, TODD FORTH, ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS AND I FELT HE REALLY CARED ABOUT MY CONCERNS AND MADE IT RIGHT. THEY HELPED WITH THE COLOR CHOICE AND I LOVE IT. I FEEL THAT FOR THE PRICE THEY DID A GREAT JOB. IT IS GUARANTEED FOR 3 YEARS.

EXCELLENT RESULT. WE HAD A LITTLE MISUNDERSTANDING OF HOW MUCH WE WANTED DONE, AND WHEN EXTERIOR WOOD RESTORATION RECOGNIZED THE MISUNDERSTANDING THEY IMMEDIATELY HAD A CREW BACK OUT TO DO THE ADDITIONAL WORK. WE WERE VERY HAPPY THAT THEY WERE SO RESPONSIVE TO OUR NEEDS.

EXTERIOR WOOD RESTORATION WAS VERY RESPONSIVE TO MY CALL AND WAS VERY PROMPT IN GETTING BACK WITH ME TO SCHEDULE AN ESTIMATE FOR A LEAKY ROOF. ANOTHER COMPANY WHICH SPECIALIZES IN WOOD SHINGLE ROOFS CAME TWICE TO TRY AND FIX THE PROBLEM AND IT CONTINUED TO LEAK. EXTERIOR WOOD RESTORATION FIXED THE PROBLEM ON THE FIRST VISIT. TODD WAS EXCELLENT WITH HIS FOLLOW THROUGH. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEIR SERVICES IN THE FUTURE.

VERY PROFESSIONAL FROM START TO FINISH. WORK CREWS WERE NEAT, COURTEOUS AND COOPERATIVE. ALL WORK WAS DONE AS PLANNED AND ON TIME. WHEN COMPLETED, WINDOWS, YARD AND DRIVEWAY WERE ALL CLEANED UP AND DEBRIS HAULED AWAY.

HE DELIVERED EXCELLENT WORK AND WAS $8,000 LESS THAN THE CLOSEST COMPETITOR. EXCELLENT, A 1 WORK. HE PRESSURE CLEANED AND TREATED MY DECK AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.

THEY WERE NOT MY LOWEST BID OF THREE FROM ANGIE'S LIST, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR-QUALITY WORK!!!!

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY LEFT THE SITE VERY CLEAN. THE ROOF LOOKS WONDERFUL.

THEY GAVE US SEVERAL START DATES DUE TO THEIR DEPENDENCY ON THE WEATHER. THE ROOF IS BEAUTIFUL AND LOOKS BRAND NEW. THEY EVEN SENT OUT A PROFESSIONAL WINDOW WASHER TO CLEAN UP.
