I had them come out for a project last year and the dude who did the quote came to my house and made remarks about my dog and talked down to me. I realized the man doing the estimate may not be someone in the crew actually doing the work so I was okay with moving forward. Follow up did not happen because the only calls I got were during my work hours and I couldn't connect after 5pm. I decided not to reply to the email due to the tone. I ended up going with another company who did an amazing job. This month I have another project & the other great company is booked solid, so I returned to Angi and let them reach out to Pros to get quotes for me. I just received a reply from my request last week from this company. The emailed let me know that his notes indicate he closed my bid due to a lack of response on my end & he hopes things will be different this time. Why would I pay thousands to a company that disrespects my work hours & speaks to me with such a tone? I did reply today

Exterior Wood Restoration, Inc. saved our deck, pergola, and privacy fences in 2021. Another company had created a mess on the deck. One estimator from yet a different company said he wouldn't touch the restoration job. Exterior Wood Restoration did what needed to be done with a great result! This past week, 2024, the same Exterior Wood Restoration, Inc. crew did a power washing, debris removal, application of an Oxalic Acid wood conditioner, and application of a semi protectant stain. Ro and his team were thorough, efficient, and genuinely concerned with customer satisfaction. My husband and I highly recommend Exterior Wood Restoration. Consummate professionals!

They receive only one star from me not because of the quality of work but the customer service of the company. I was given one estimate that seemed fair, but once the work began the price increase by about 50% of the original estimate. They had already begun ripping up boards, and I did not have another company to hire. I told them to continue and that I hoped that we could reach a price that was fair considering the orignial estimate was so off base. I felt confident that they would meet me halfway with the final cost...not even close! They failed to give an accurate estimate, and I had to pay for it.

We are saddened by Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s perception of our services. When our estimator went to see her deck, he only identified 25 board feet of decking boards that needed to be replaced as the deck was coated with a full grey stain. After our crew power washed the deck, they found 75 additional board feet that needed to be replaced. The salesperson discussed this with the homeowner, and she was sent a revised bid. She agreed to the work being done so we replaced the additional boards. She did call and ask that we give her a discount because of unexpected increase in price. We offered to look at actual costs to try and pass on as much of a discount as possible. After the storm last week there was an additional board that needed to be replaced after wood putty that had been put in the rotten area of the board dislodged exposing the damage to the board. We replaced that board at no additional cost to the homeowner and repaired her gate at no charge. We also replaced 5 spindles on her deck at no charge. We sent her a revised estimate taking into account the costs related to the actual board replacement (excluding the additional board, and repair to the gate) and lowered her price from $1584 to $1421. Her salesperson also gave up his commission on the project making our final cost to her $1326. We feel we have been as fair as possible to the homeowner on this project.

Fantastic job! My deck is 25 years old and had many layers of stain. Exterior Wood Restoration removed every bit of the old stain and restored the deck to like new condition. The crew did a great job. They came while I was at work and thoroughly cleaned the deck (power washer, wood cleaner/brightener). They even took the time to clean under the deck (it's on a 2nd story). It took them several hours, but they got the job done. This deck is over 600 square feet with many railing spindles. The next week, they came back to stain everything. They called a couple of times during each process to check in with me, which I appreciated. I appreciated that they covered everything with tarps to make sure my house siding and garage door did not get messed up. This crew even carefully removed (and then re-installed) my existing lattice work so they could stain the vertical posts. I couldn't believe believe they were that thorough. I greatly appreciated them taking such pride in a job well done. They were polite, professional and cleaned up everything. I'd definitely recommend this company. The finished deck looks great!

We had a new fence and deck with pergola that needed stained. We had multiple quotes that were similar in price but we went with Exterior Wood Restoration due to them being more professional in the quoting process. Roderigo was very communicative through the process as the weather caused several delays. They did a great job covering the surface without leaving any mess behind. Very poor communication, very poor customer service.
Description of Work: First it took them almost a week to respond. When I finally got some to come out and look at the deck he NEVER gave me an estimate just that it would take at least 2 months to do anything. Then he never responded again. Considering that I bought a big deal you would think that the company would be more responsive. I finally had to call Angie's list and get a refund!!

Unfortunately, Angie's List had a glitch in their system and did not notify us of the purchase of this big deal. We were contacted by the client almost a week after the purchase asking us why we had not responded to him yet. After contacting Angie's List we did receive his information and send his contact information to our salesperson. It was at the beginning of our deck season and many clients had already booked our services causing the two month estimate in completion time. Our goal is to contact clients within 24-48 after initial contact to schedule an appointment for an estimate.

It went really well. They did a really good job. It did take a couple phone calls to get them out there, but they did get out here and do it. We had an issue where they didn't do a stain on one of the posts and they came right back out to fix it. The price was reasonable for the whole project.
