We have been running an old electric furnace and air conditioning unit that wasted energy and cost us a fortune. With the federal tax credit, in addition to the state and Duke Energy rebates, we thought it was time to make a change. We had Sean out to give us an idea of the most efficient system we could install for what we could afford to spend. We also had a couple of other companies out to do the same. Sean quoted the most efficient air supplied heat pump system in our price range (15.5 SEER and 9.0 HPFC). He provided a forthcoming estimate and didn't try to hide any misc. costs. He was low pressure about the sale and didn't try to scare us into making a decision, "Right now, before the state money is gone," like others did. The installation was fast, neat, efficient, and at no hassle to us. Sean also spent time making certain that we had everything we needed to obtain the $2,200 in tax credits and rebates that were available. We are VERY satisfied with the work performed.

I could not be happier with A PERFECT CLIMATE. I really appreciate good honest business owners being cordial while working. His positive attitude was a pleasure to have! I truly appreciated his efforts (knowing my wife and kids were cold inside, hoping he'd save the day). He worked very efficiently and was prompt. I was impressed with how knowledgeable he was. I can pretty much get a hold of the company to schedule appointments any time. They always clean up after their work and are a very professional company.

He never charges us for more than it's worth. He is very honest about what we really need at that time. He never oversells. We've had circumstances in the past when companies have tried to oversell to us, but he's always been honest. This was actually an emergency situation, and we couldn't get out of our subdivision, but luckily he lives a few blocks away. He didn't charge anything extra for an emergency fee.

Sean was very prompt and did a great job. He was able to find an issue that has gone unnoticed for some time, and make the repair. He cleaned up well after himself and we will use him again.

On a Saturday we learned that our main water pipe into the house was leaking. My husband shut off the water to the house. Our first phone call for help to a plumber went unanswered. Sean has done furnace work for us and had talked to my husband about plumbing work in the past. So we made an emergency after-hours plumbing call to Sean. He came out quickly and had the necessary supplies with him (no waiting for him to run to any home improvement stores). In addition to fixing the leaking pipe by changing some "connections" he added a shut off valve where my husband wanted one. Our hot water heater is pretty old and we are expecting to have to get a new one soon. So I asked if he connects water heaters and he does! So we will be calling him back when we are ready to purchase a new one. Sean has been to our house repeatedly in the past year and a half and we have always had a good experience with him and his work.

Our heat pump would not turn off. It kept trying to heat the house even though it was too cold outside and the system should have switched over to the gas furnace. Sean came over to our house the same day we called, even though I told him it could wait until the next day. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it. The thermostat was not working properly and he was able to replace it right then and there! He had the right part with him in his van. We are very happy with the service he provides. The thermostat was under warranty so the service call didn't cost us anything. Sean also services the heat pump and furnace during the appropriate seasons. If he is running later than expected because of a long service call, he calls to let me know when he can get here. Once he even came out at 5:30 AM (oops, we woke him up at 5:00), just to find out we had reprogrammed the thermostat wrong. So he fixed it for us before going to what should have been his first call of the day.

We had just used this company to install a heating/cooling system and had a great experience, so we called them first when we noticed that our water heater was leaking. We first talked to them around 3PM and by 6:30PM it was all done. They had picked up the water heater, installed it and removed our old one. From start to finish, initial phone call to job completion, was only 3 1/2 hours! They had a reasonable price and gave fast, friendly service.

We needed to replace our gas furnace and air conditioning units and received estimates from 4 companies. A Perfect Climate was able to give us the best unit and warranty for a far lower price than the other companies. They were also very friendly and patient in answering all of our questions and we felt that all of their answers were truthful. They installed the new unit on the agreed upon date, hauled off the old one, and even threw in the removal of a gas yard lantern for free! They also took the time to thoroughly explain the new heat pump system and to set up our new programmable thermostat. They provided friendly, thorough service at a great price!

Angie's List says they can work on water heaters and I called to set up an appointment for a simple check of my water heater. They gave me a time slot and then called later and said, "They don't do water heaters". It was a waste of my time to call. They shouldn't be listed under this category on Angie's List and they should have told me upfront they don't do the work.

Sean and James arrived on Mon. to check out the job and give an estimate on a/c, and a/c and heating. They were thorough and detailed. My furnace was only 10 years old and was not having problems, I had reservations about replacing it. I asked them what advantages I would have installing a new furnace. After hearing of the 10 year warranty and 95% efficiency, and given the price package and quality of equipment I went with the whole package. Two days later {wed.} they arrived about 9am and started the job. They were done by 2pm. Everything was cleaned and picked up and the equipment was running. I received Sean's name from a good friend several years ago that was very impressed by his work ethic. Sean and James appear to be continuing in this manner and I highly recommend their services.

Sean arrived on time and was professional. After taking a look at our house and old equipment he made recommendations and had many options for us to choose from, including a 93% efficiency furnace. While we were discussing the 93% furnace option he took a quick look in our crawlspace and smelled a gas leak. I called a plumber to fix it. Sean gave us the best price he could up front. Two other gentlemen from other companies offered to lower their price when I told them I chose someone else. After getting our gas leak in the basement fixed, we had trouble turning our old furnace back on. We called Sean and he came out to help us get it back on. This was free of charge. About two days later we signed the contract with him and scheduled the installation. The installation was done on time, and original date for amount of time estimated. The crew also kept our house clean. We are going to have them service the furnace and heat pump every year.

James and Sean were very good to deal with. They responded quickly when we first called and then set up an appointment to do the work. They came exactly when they promised they would and the work was performed as scheduled. James and Sean bought this company from a man we had used before. He was very honest and competent and they have carried on in the same tradition. The price was fair and we're glad we used their service.

It turned out to be a leak in our crawl space. He came out on a Saturday and found the leak. Our crawl space was filled with water. He shut the water off. He came out the next day and pumped the water out of the crawl space and repaired the leak.
