Mow Better performed bothservices, doing the work in my driveway. He layed down a rubber mat to protect the driveway from oil and dirt. He started by wintwrizing my lawn mower. He cleaned the mower, changed the oil, and replaced the sparkplug. The blades were sharpened and fuel additived put in the gas tank to preserve the gas during the winter. The second service was to prepare my snow blower for the season. He cleaned the blower, check the oil and sparkplug. We had not used the snow blower during the past two winters so it would not start. The gas had gone bad and he removed the carburetor bowl and cleaned the fuel line and carburetor bowl. The unit was started and all functions tested, including the electric starter.

Chris went thru the whole machine, changed the oil and got it started and adjusted. Very Pleased!

I purchased this service as an Angie's list special deal. The gentleman who owns the business (I'm sorry; I don't have his name handy) responded promptly to my request for service. We exchanged text messages to set up a time and date to have the work done. My husband and I both work, so scheduling is tricky. We arranged to leave our garage door opener for him, so that he could enter the garage and work on the mower while we were at work. When we arrived home that day, the lawnmower was clean and tuned u,p with a service tag on the handle. As a result, unfortunately, I never had a chance to meet the owner in person. However, we are very happy with the work and, especially, the service. Thank you, Mow Better!

I purchased a coupon from Angies List for Mow Better to come to my house sharpen the blade ,change oil and tune up my lawn mower.Chris was there on time ,presented his business,did a great job ,cleaned up the mess and put the lawn mower back in the garage.It doesn't get any better than that.

Chris is great, shows up when he says he will, and completes the job very quick... He also is very thorough in his work! I will always use him for my lawn mower?snow blower repairs.

We e-mailed back and forth to set up the appointment. He mentioned that he was in my area on Tuesdays. I suggested on 11/6 and he said that he was booked so we made the appointment for 11/13 in the afternoon. I didn't set a specific time just mentioned that after lunch would be fine. He never showed up and I received no call or e-mail stating why. I have since requested a refund.

Communication can be improved upon as well as the availability for service. It would be nice to have the service done on a day that is more convenient and at a more precise time. A 3 hour window of approximate time of arrival isn't ideal for my schedule. In the end the work was completed as promised at a discounted fair price via Angie's List.

Mow Better contacted me right after my purchase of the Big Deal. He arranged to come to our home by the end of the week, arrived on schedule and performed the services quickly and efficiently. We really appreciated his assessment of our snow blower and will use this service again in the future.

Chris Arvin is very professional and polite along with being friendly. He was very prompt from the first phone call when I set an appointment with him to come out and service my gas mower. After setting the appointment he followed up with an email confirming our conversation. He showed up on time and went to work and took care of not just one of my mowers but both. He was in and out and no mess. Mower looks great!! Great company great service!!

Chris contacted me when my Angie's List deal was close to ending to make sure that I didn't lose out on my deal. He arrived at the house when I was not home and serviced the lawn mower that I had placed in the back yard. When I arrived home, I had a report from Chris on my mower and was able to start the grass cutting season in confidence!

They were fantastic. He came out to my house on time and in a very quick time frame from when I purchased the big deal. He was very patient, nice, and knowledgeable. Worked quickly but did a fantastic job and really made sure that my lawn mower was in tip top shape before he left. I would defiantly use him again and plan on scheduling a regular tine up in the fall each year. I'm glad the big deal was able to promote his services as it is so specialized and I probably never would have found them otherwise. Great service and owner. USE THEM!!!!

We were able to leave the mower outside. The owner (Chris?) came when he said he would and performed the service. He left a voice mail saying that he believed the mower had probably been low on oil and the motor had blocked. When my husband tried to start the mower, it came to life after a few attempts. I have not talked to Chris, but I am puzzled as to why my husband was able to start the mower and Chris wasn't - therefore the and quot;Band quot;.

It was very convenient to have someone come to my home to service my lawn mower and not have to transport it anywhere.

The ONLY reason we cannot give an and quot;excellentand quot; grade for responsiveness is because when we were first contacted to set our appointment we were told he would contact us back with a time he would arrive on our appointment date. We did not hear back from him with that information. We also made a phone call around 9 a.m. on the day of the scheduled appt. to ask what time he would be arriving. At 11 a.m. we phoned again (as we had not heard yet) and did get a response at that time. Overall we would HIGHLY recommend this company and plan to use their service again in the future. Very professional and informative!! He explained everything to us and even shared his thoughts on the brand snowblower we have. Luckily, we have a good one and feel confident it will serve us well this winter when the snow comes our way. A favorite part of this service is that HE CAME TO US!! Loved that! Chris got right back with us and set up an appointment to come out and service our push mower. He tuned it up, replacing the plug, cleaning the air filter, sharpened the blade, changed the oil, checked avarything out and cleaned it up. He has a large truck where he wheels the unit inside and it is a complete mobile shop. He did a great job and I did not have to do anything...it was just so easy. Will definately use him again and again.

It was the first time I had used them. They tuned up the snow blower. He came out in a truck, loaded the snow blower in the truck, performed the work right there and was done quickly. He was very professional.

Do Use his service. A man of intregity. Drove my mower into his truck to work on it. I have dogs so I know he left with a dirtier floor. All he said was I have lots of fertilizer. I will use him again but I will clean up the mower tires first. Awesome man.

I was pretty pleased with the service. He arrived in a timely manner to what was communicated. He was courteous and professional and finished the work in less than 30 minutes. All of the work was done inside of his truck. I did expect my mower to look a little cleaner than it did. I live on a wooded lot so it does get dustier than most lawns. But he said he figured it would just get dirty again, so he didn't clean it as much as he could have. I wasn't impressed with that, but I didn't make a big deal about it. I just think it should have gotten the and quot;fulland quot; treatment. My one question is that this fall, my lawn mower was having issues. It turned out to be my carburetor that was dirty. That was the first time that had happened in the 7 years I've had the mower. Was that a part of the service that was neglected or did it get that dirty in a season? Not sure.

He came out when he said he would, filled it with gas from the gas can that I already had there. I expected him to provide the service, but wasn't expecting him to be nice enough to fill it for me. He provided the service for the deal and put it to bed for me. It was really nice to have the service in my driveway rather than driving to where ever to have some maintenance my walk behind mower. He did a fine job in a timely fashion, with the least amount of trouble for me.

This was a great experience overall! He came to my house and looked over my lawn mower and explained the best way to maintain it. He also cleaned it and tuned it up, and it has worked great ever since. He was very fast, efficient, and polite and didn't try to up-sell me at all. I'm looking forward to working with him again. My experience was so great that if I could rate him higher than an A I would!

This was a Big Deal purchase. The gentleman from Mow Better called to set an appointment time. He arrived at the scheduled time, took the lawn mower to his well equpped truck to do the winterizing. The work was performed in short order and was done well. Had no probllems with the mower during this mowing season. Will use Mow Better again and highly recomment them.
