At first I had a tough time getting in touch with Chris to get an appointment scheduled. But after that was worked out, I was very pleased with his service. He showed up at my house promptly on the chosen date. He worked efficiently and was done with the tune-up in less than half an hour. I was most impressed with his honest advice -- he told me that my push mower model rarely lasts more than 10 years, and next year will be year #10. Thanks to Chris' help, though, I'm confident that I'll be able to get at least one more cutting season out of this mower before it needs to be retired. Depending on how Indy's weather is this winter, I won't hesitate to contact Chris about coming out to tune up my snow blower too!

He came to the house and on the spot changed the oil, sharpened the blade, replaced the air filter, and generally cleaned up our push mower. For an extra few dollars he even sharpened the blade on our Neuton rechargeable mower. Fast, efficient, convenient, no-hassle service, and we were very pleased.

I would hire them again and recomend them to friends especially my friends who have riding mowers and can't get the mower to the shop for tune up and blade sharpening.

Overall, I had an excellent experience with Mow Better. It only took about 30 minutes from start to finish, and my mower is like new. I'd definitely use Mow Better next year to keep my mower in great condition.

Needed my lawn mower and snowblower prepared for the winer. The gentleman that came to the house was right on time and very professional. Did the work that had to be done and let me know when he was leaving. He left me a card of the work performed and and I would absolutely call him again.

I purchased the big deal, e-mailed the proprietor as instructed to schedule a date. The gentleman emailed back in a short time and arranged a mutual date. He performed his service on the arranged date and did as he promised. What more can a customer ask for?

I had needed to have my lawn mower blades sharpened. When Mow Better came out to do that. They also did a full inspection. They checked the engine, oil, and put a clean filter in there as well. Mow Better informed me that there were no problems and will be dready to mow next season.

Easy to schedule--no problems al all

Chris Arvin serviced my lawn mower last year and I intended to hire him again this year for full price. When I saw the Angie's List offer I jumped on it. Chris called me immediately and we discussed service dates. We agreed upon a date and later on a time frame. Chris arrived promptly during the time frame discussed. He performed the complete service on my lawn mower as specified in the Angie's List Big Deal. His work was as good as it was last year and I was pleased. In addition I had asked Chris if he would look at my snow thrower as I had not used it the previous Winter due to the lack of significant snowfall and I wanted to ensure that it would start and operate correctly this year. He agreed and tended to my snow thrower, got it started, and informed me that it would be functional. He did not ask for any additional money but I gave him an extra $20 and he was satisfied with that payment. I will be using Chris every year from now on whether or not there is a Big Deal available. Chris is punctual, professional, efficient, and very pleasant person to deal with.

Very prompt, courteous service done at the residence and clean up was complete. As to the work performed, we will not know the results until next spring.

Company came out with a truck and took my lawn mower in the back and performed the sharpening and tune up. It came out looking clean and they were very nice. During the season the lawn mower had trouble starting for the first time in 7 years, not sure if one thing has anything to do with the other.

He was very accommodating as far as scheduling and was very pleasant on the phone. Frankly, I won't know about the quality of the work until we pull out the mower in the spring though. We didn't really talk about what was done before he left though.

He came today (11/20), on the date he suggested two weeks ago, and within the discussed time window. He got immediately to work in a calm, assuring manner and appeared very comfortable with small engines. He found that the feed line still had some old oil/gas that had solidified and was preventing the new gas/oil mixture from reaching the carburetor. He indicated that some parts of the carburetor appeared worn and might need to be replaced. (He doesn't do that work, though he mentioned a store that could help with parts and service.) However, he was able to start the blower and adjust the throttle to run smoother, so I won't need to replace those parts yet. He also answered the questions I had. I rate suppliers infrequently and generally only to highlight suppliers I would use again. I don't give A grades easily; I've given both A's and B's on the subcategories in this case. However, to me, a B and quot;goodand quot; grade really is a good grade. I recommend Mow Better for your small engine needs
