My next door neighbor came over and requested his services and Chris was happy to work on his lawnmower when he was finished with my equipment. He also tuned-up my snow thrower for a separate bargain fee. It too runs great. Hopefully, I won't have to use the snow thrower too much this season.

Got it working temporarily so I could finish mowing for season and then will have him pick it up to fix over the winter. Definitely suggest others to use him.

Description of Work: Chris serviced my John Deer & Toro for the third year in a row and has responded to some problems during the mowing season. He seems to have just about as many parts in stock as a "you bring it to us" provider. What he doesn't have I ordered on Amazon and he installed. The service is cost effective and timely. I have referred two neighbors to Chris and they have all been pleased. I've not had to use Chris' services when there is snow on the ground, but I have heard that he handles the weather effectively.

+ 0 moreI was very impressed with Chris. I called early in the week to set up an appointment. To my surprise, they had an appointment for a Saturday morning. Chris stopped by and was able to complete all the work on my Honda self propelled lawn mower. The choke had been running high which was causing the mower to use too much gas and idle too high. While he was there, he tuned up the mower and sharpened the blades which was a nice surprise. Chris was very professional and I felt as though I got a great value for $75.00. I will use Chris in the future to make sure my mower last longer! Thank you Chris!

When I ran over the rock border of my flower bed, I thought for sure I was in trouble, but he came out within the week, checked the mower, sharpened the nicks out of the blade, and got my mower running smoothly!

+ -1 moreI contacted this company after I found them on Angie's List and the gal who answered the phone provided the best customer service and it was easy to schedule and they even fit me in within the same week on a particular day as needed when someone was going to be home so that was going above and beyond in itself. The guy was professional and polite and explained all that he was going to do upon arrival and gave time frame that he would be there and did all as anticipated. Our mower is now in good shape for another year or so. We strongly recommend this small business and will call them again in the near future as needed!
Description of Work: Came to our home for our convenience, serviced our self-propelled mower by sharpening the blade, changed the oil and air filter, new spark plug, cleaned out underneath and checked all to confirm all was operating properly.

+ -1 moreThe mower would start but not stay on. Everybody else was over $100 and 2-3 weeks away. I called Mow Better and they came out to my house the next day!!! Arrived at the promised time, was very professional and fixed the mower quickly. I was really impressed and would recommend them to anyone.

+ -1 moreI contacted the service provider to have my lawnmower serviced after the Sears standard warranty for lawnmowers was going to take at least 1 month to investigate and fix (I cancelled it and got my money back). A lady answered the phone on the weekend and was very professional. They gave me an appointment a few days out to come out to my home and work on the lawnmower. The lady called the day prior to give me a time window of 2 hours. The repairman/owner called me like I asked prior to showing up to my residence so I could meet him for the work. He services Indianapolis by region weekly. For example, west side/Avon is typically on Wednesdays. I had problems with the lawnmower smoking and not giving full power. He found the problem and fixed the mower while also providing a tune up service. My fiance who uses the lawnmower said the man was nice and helpful explaining tips and also mentioned maintenance things that we needed to do with the snowblower so it works for the winter too. The cost was $75 in total. He does charge a $40 service call charge but if you go ahead and let him fix it you don't pay it, it goes toward the cost of the repairs. Fortunately he had the items on hand to fix my lawnmower. If he didn't then he would have had to come back a week later. I liked his service and will call him again with any future issues with my lawnmower, snowblower, and hopefully weed wacker if needed. The only negative I can say is that he only services areas on certain days of the week and you may have to wait longer than you would like to get your item fixed. I understand because mileage and gas are not cheap. Glad he comes to your home to work on it because I have a coupe and trying to lug that mower around would not have been feasible. I've contacted my church members to let them know about his service. Plan to use him again and for my annual tune ups. I'm hoping he will start advertising tuneup specials prior to winter for the snowblowers and lawnmower tune ups for the winter. Overall positive experience.

+ 0 moreI left a voice mail with Mow Better and received a call back within 30 minutes. I explained what machines I had and what I thought needed done. Andrea gave me a date and time and an approximate cost. She offered a 2 hour window and I asked if Mr. Arvin could call when he was en route to my home. He called and said he would arrive within 40 minutes and was spot on. He performed the necessary service in the drive way. He explained what he did, and gave me a bill which was very close to the original estimate. It was actually less than what was stated. This is the best service for anyone with mowers or snow blowers to keep them in tip top shape. No hauling them to a shop and leaving them overnight or longer. Mr. Arvin also explained that he would offer a discount if I called again in November to have the mower blades sharpened after mowing season is over. You can't beat having this type of service done at your home. Thanks to Mow Better!
Description of Work: Mr. Arvin came to our home and serviced a self propelled push mower, a riding mower and a snow blower. All three were given tune ups, and oil changes. The mowers also had the blades sharpened.

+ -1 moreWe actually found them on Angie's List. The guy that's in charge of Mow Better is fantastic and probably can save you a bunch of questions. I will give an A plus rating across the board. Price is fair. He's extremely professional. He has done excellent work for us and we specifically use him because of that. We haven't gone to any place else and any place else that we've gone, we stopped going to them to use Mow Better. They're the best lawnmower person that we found and it's really nice that they come right to your house so that you don't have to hassle with tossing the lawnmower in the back of your car and try to take it in to be serviced and all that.
