They were very responsive. They did a good quality work. They were neat. They were fairly priced. They did a wonderful job. They were clean and timely.

We have used Hammer and Nail before and have been extremely pleased each time! Everyone is pleasant to work with and very dependable. They go above and beyond to get the job done. They are efficient and come up with great solutions when asked about a problem. Throughout the remodel we were happy with the progress and ability to consult with Steve or Eric. Overall, a great experience and a wonderful end result!

Great as always. I have used Steve and Eric for the last 15 years on all my remodeling projects this is the sixth one - they were actually reworking their first project which was a finished basement.

As always Steve and the guys at Hammer and Nail delivered more than expected. Steve consulted on the plans for the garage and built the building according to plan. The garage was finished ahead of schedule and within budget. We are very pleased.

These guys are great to work with and worked with us as we made changes throughout the process. The guys are extremely efficient and work well together. I was amazed at how quickly they had the structure built. They gave us a lot good ideas and advice while we were deciding how we wanted the roof to look and work. I like that the people doing the work were the owners of the company and we knew we would get exactly what we discussed. I highly recommend Hammer and Nail. We are using them again for a garage project currently being built.

Steve came to give me an estimate along with 2 other general contractors. Hammer and Nail and one other contractor came in at the cheapest (almost the same price) and I felt like Steve was confident and able to do the work after talking with him. The work began on the first business day after closing on our house (which was our first pleasant surprise). We bought a foreclosure and had a lot of work to do. I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was at this experience. The crew showed up and worked everyday they promised from 8:00-4:30. They were very professional and Steve was wonderful to work with. We got a renovation loan and there was a lot of paperwork involved. Steve happily filled out all required forms at the beginning and as the project progressed. We have moved in and love everything. All work was done in a professional manner and the house looks great! I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality, structured, and professional contractor.

Provided solid advice throughout the entire process. Worked with us on ways to make the remodel efficient from a time line and cost perspective. Workmanship was top notch and kept us informed of the progress.

Pleased with finished work-however, I found responsiveness to be an issue. Phone number is a cell phone. My neighbor had raved about this company before, so I decided to check them out on AL, and liked what I saw. During my initial call, I identified myself as both a neighbor of their existing client, and an Angie's List member. My initial phone call was not returned for several days; my return phone call was not returned for several days; had to be very persistent just to get an estimate. To be fair, this was during the summer vacation season, but still...overall, I felt it was an issue. Also, my job had to be rescheduled. I was told work would be done on a specific Friday, and came home from work to inspect, but was unpleasantly surprised to find that they had not been out. No phone calls at home or work explaining or offering a reschedule. I had to call on Saturday and follow-up. I assumed since they weren't able to get out on Friday, that I would be at the top of the list on Monday, but Steve Lewis told me that was not the case, and that they would get to me on Tuesday, which they did. But, I wonder, what would have happened had I not called?

These guys do excellent work. In addition to the work they had originally quoted, they fixed a leak in another part of our siding. Their rates are very reasonable and the workmanship is first rate. I was impressed how quickly they worked. The roof they built complete transformed the back of our house. We will be contracting with them again in the future. I highly recommend Hammer and Nail.

Excellent company. Very good carpentry skills. We told them what we wanted and we got it. Very pleasant and easy to explain our overall expectations and what we wanted. Very happy with the results. Excellent quality.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO. I'VE NEVER SEEN THREE GUYS WORK SO HARD. THEY WORK HARD AND DO A GOOD JOB.
