Description of Work: Told me my AC needed to be replaced and offered me prices on a new one. When I said I would get another opinion the service guy told me he could put some freon in and it would just be a guess as to how much longer it would go. Didn't have any problem all summer and had been cooling fine prior to his visit also. Thought it was a scare tactic to sell me a new AC.

+ -1 moreThey have a checklist of things that they do and they go through it. The most important thing that they do is checking that the filter is fine. They tell us that we don?t need to replace the filter too often like it is sometimes said. I appreciate the fact that they are not too pushy that way and don?t try to upsell unnecessarily.
Description of Work: We use Elite Heating to do a biannual winter/summer maintenance check-up on our heating and air conditioning units. They had last come within the past one month to check our furnace and filter.

Description of Work: Removed old gas furnace and air conditioning. Installed regionalized system for gas heat and air conditioning for second floor and first floor (3) ton units for each floor, gas furnace lower level and heat pump for upstairs. During bid process worked with me to provide the highest seer level, energy efficiency, etc within my budget. Beat closer competitor by $2,000 in bid process.

+ -1 moreThey started installation 2 days after I accepted their quote. Installation was done in a reasonable amount of time, and was performed in a workmanlike manner. I was pleased with the 2 installers, though neither of them had much knowledge of the thermostat. A third person, who brought some supplies not on the truck, was helpful with the thermostat, and answered all my questions. However, I did require a follow-up call to lower the temperature at which point the supplemental heat from the existing furnace would come on. There was no charge for this call. Otherwise, I was pleased with the price and installation. Other quotes for a replacement air conditioner was more than double what I paid.
Description of Work: The company installed a Bryant Heat Pump, evaporator coil, and thermostat, after first removing the existing air conditioner, evaporator coil, and thermostat. The existing furnace remained, to provide supplemental heating when the outside air was too cold (below 35 degrees) for the heat pump to provide heat.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE QUITE NICE WHEN THEY WOULD COME OUT. THEY WOULD CALL ME TO SAY THAT THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY AND WOULD GIVE ME FORTY TO FORTY FIVE MINUTES BEFORE SHOWING. PRICE WISE I THINK THEY ARE TOO HIGH. I HAVE NOT BEEN TOO PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. I HAD TO WAIT A LONG TIME.
Description of Work: THEY CHECKED MY AIR CONDITIONING UNIT AND ADDED SOME FREON TO IT. THEY ALSO SAID THEY WERE GOING TO GIVE A QUOTE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A PART BUT THAT TOOK A LONG TIME.
