They never cleaned the burners/heat exchangers as it indicated in the original ad.

They were supposed to do a tune up of the heating system. Instead, they did nothing but look at it and try to sell us a replacement system without giving us any clear indication of what was wrong. They were hard to get hold of to get a straight answer about what the problems really were. They actually did nothing but show up and look at our furnace... They did not do any work at all. No tune up, no adjustments, not even a filter change.

The service person called ahead before his scheduled arrival. He arrived on time. He performed all the services I paid for efficiently and thoroughly. The visit was very reassuring, and a good bargain, since the company I usually use charges $79 for a service call.

I purchased the cleaning big deal from Elite - I called to schedule - the woman who answered was very professional and nice and I was scheduled for the following Thursday. A technician came out - did a visual inspection of the furnace and had me turn it on - he proceeded to tell me the flame had some orange in it and that probably meant I had a gas leak and he said by looking that the circuit board was probably bad too - showed some corrosion and proceeded to tell me that my furnace was shot and that I should purchase a new one - they had some nice specials going on. He threw out some prices and had me talk to his boss on the phone in regards to prices and I requested that he email me the quotes as I would need to have more information and be able to compare prices, etc. To this date I have not received anything in writing to compare. I did ask the technician before he left if since he felt the board had corrosion and was bad if replacing it would be worth while and at least get me thru one more winter. He said that considering the flame was burning orange it probably has a gas leak and would simply suggest replacing the entire furnace as it was 10 or 11years old. Also, worth mentioning - there wasn't any math put into figuring out what size my house required. Even I know that bigger is not better in regards to furnace and AC units - too big quickly becomes inefficient and more costly to run. Simply put - one size or one special as the case may be, does NOT fit all. There were no services performed - no adjustments, no tune ups and no cleanings. I really got the impression that they only wanted to sell me a new furnace and ac unit. After a couple of weeks went by and I heard nothing more from them I called a friend of mine that used to do HVAC repairs and asked him to take a look. I told him what I was told regarding the gas leak, etc. He looked at the flame and said it looked only blue to him and said it would be rare to have a gas leak like that and said also if you see a little orange in the blue that dirt can do that. The irony is of course, the cleaning and inspection coupon is what I had purchased in the first place. Just for the sake of argument, I will put a carbon monoxide tester close to the furnace and keep an eye on it. I promise to update this review if that technician was right about the gas leak. Otherwise, I feel they sent me a salesman, not a service technician.

Heater: he didn't have a replacement filter, so he left it without a filter until i was able to run to the store. Seems like an HV/AC guy should have some backup filters (even if they charge me for it). It is a common size. Also, said he cleaned the AC, but really just hosed it down and left vines that had grown into the radiator fins. Definitely will not use this company again.

From the very first contact with Elite, the entire experience was excellent. Stephanie, the receptionist, was very police and professional, yet engaging. The technician, Joe, was also very professional. He explained everything he was going to do and gave us some good tips to help our unit last a little longer. I would absolutely recommend Elite and will use them again when needed.

Cleaned the AC as promised and checked it out for any potential problems--none found. Technician was polite, friendly and seemed knowledgable.

The technician was timely and polite. Donned shoe protectors and came in to view indoor system. Gave me a pointer I had never heard of to make the system last longer (add a capful of bleach every month in the opening at the side of unit). Cleaned and checked outside unit and shared everything with me about the unit. I signed a year's semi annual cleaning of HVAC. Their prices are a little higher than what I have paid in the past, but I really liked the way this technician cared for my property and the timeliness and phone ahead for the appointment.

I know that they are licensed and that's the main thing. I wasn't there half the time, but that was fine. I just let him do his thing and he would check the A/C. Everything was okay. They gave me a time span so they could way off.

The service went well. The system is running good.

I purchased a Groupon for Elite to service the furnance for $29..00. I called on Wednesday and they had their representative out on Friday. He performed diagnostic tests and showed us the results of those test. He cleaned the furnance. Was here about an hour. Very satisfified with the experience.

After talking to seveal other HVAC companies, I went with Elite because they were able to give me the best deal at the time. They were very professional and completed the work in a very timely manner, even during their busiest time of the year - a heat wave. They sent a technician to look at my original system, once he figured out what was wrong he let me talk directly to the owner of the company to further explain my options and get me the best deal possible. They offered to install the new system that same evening but due to a coflict with my work schedule they came early the next morning with a crew of 4 guys and had the entire job done by lunch time.

They are quick to sell it to you and quick to install it. However, their work is just average.

They were really good. They were Johnny-on-the-spot. They had come out to see what was wrong and they tried something else before doing the whole unit thing but it didn't work. The unit was 11 years old anyway so we went with the new one. Their price was really good. We would hire them again.

The Carrier system installed is a quality system; however, their customer service is the worst I've experienced. Our system was supposed to be installed in two separate trips. When the second pair of installers showed up to complete the job, they had no idea what the first group had completed so much time was wasted (time away from work) and our confidence in this company was decreasing. After the second installation visit, the system still didn't properly work. It took over 5 visits to install the system properly, and one visit was to fix the water hose they drained from the condensate pump to the outside. Our basement flooded once the temperature dropped to freezing because the hose froze up outside and the water had no where to go but on the floor. We lost work time due to appointments with Elite and one appointment they didn't even show up or call. We called to ask their whereabouts and that's when they informed us the part hadn't come in that morning. If the company had just called to reschedule the appointment, we could have went to work.

They did a good job and we were happy with them. Our air conditioner broke in the middle of the summer. We had called a couple of places and Elite Heating was the most competitively priced. They came within a day or two after we contacted them. We thought we only needed a new air conditioner but there was also a problem with the furnace, and we installed a new furnace too.
