Didn't have work done

David called on a Sunday and said they had a cancellation. Asked if I would like them to start on Monday. Of course, the answer was yes. It took 5 days to complete the removal process and build the new structures. David's associate Matt was here all 5 days. David was here 3 of those days. Both young men worked non stop when they were here. The finished product is beautiful and well made. I would highly recommend this company.

I was very disappointed they did not call me back to schedule an estimate. If they were too busy they could have at least called to tell me they were busy.

David Stillwell is the best. Over the years I have tried others but this company is the best. No hidden costs starts when he says he will and works on the job himself. He goes the extra mile and wants you to be pleased. Moved furniture in, out and off and replaced it back. He even put my wife's swing up for her. He is the only one in my address book that will do my deck

He did a great job on our deck. He is coming back in June to finish painting it. If people are patient and can wait, I think it's worth the wait. He did a beautiful job with the deck. Once he got started, he was very quick. He was neat and did a very nice job. The only issue is that he doesn't have other people working for him. So you basically have to get in line and wait for your turn. We were very, very pleased with his work. He did contact us anytime that he wasn't going to be able to make it because of weather or whatever.

David is the most solid guy you will find to do any work he contracts to do. Simply put, he does what he says he'll do, when he says he'll do it and for the price he quotes you upfront.

Will seal it when the weather permits.

The fence looks great. Honestly it took a bit for him to call us back, but he runs the entire operation by himself. I got several quotes and his was spot on with the others. My neighbors on both sides of me commented on how clean, meticulous and professional he appeared when working on the fence. I'm very happy with the job. It may take him a few days to call you back, but the job was worth the wait.

I have used David for my deck for 10 years. He does a fabulous job.

Took him awhile to get back to me from my initial call (about 10 days) but I figured he was busy and would get back to me when he was available. Turns out I caught him in the process of moving at the time. But once we made contact, he was out to give me an estimate the same day and was able to start work a couple of days later. He came out on a Friday to pressure wash the deck and then the following Tuesday to finish up the stain and seal. Overall a positive experience and I think the price for value was very reasonable. I would definitely use him again and recommend the Deck Doktor to my friends and neighbors.

This is the third time I have had the deck refinished and David is the best yet. He did what he said he would do and was very concerned that we were satisfied. He showed up when he said he would. He called when he felt like the weather would be a problem. I was very pleased with the work and it was on target with the estimate David does his own work, and I would definitely recommend him to all, and I peronally will use him again

He didn't arrive when he had stated for the estimate, but he did call and let me know his new time of arrival, and offered to change the day of service if the new time wouldn't work (it was fine!) He brought his power washing equipment with him to give the estimate, then was able to go ahead and do the project right then. He was very professional and did a great job.

David was prompt in returning my original call. He scheduled a visit for an estimate in a very timely manner. When he arrived he looked at what needed to be done and gave me a very reasonable estimate. He was very professional, personable, and willing to work with my schedule. (I was having a tree that was hanging over my porch within a few days.) He also explained that what he uses to clean is not toxic to my landscaping. The day arrived, and while David was working working on pressure washing the porch roof, he found that a limb had fallen some time ago and made a large hole where the branch landed. Apparently this had been there for some time. (We were constantly losing large heavy branches from a very large dying oak tree. He told me that water was getting in and what could happen if it wasn't repaired. He told me to contact the tree company or the company that installed the porch roof to find out what needed to be done. Then, as he was pressure washing the gutters, he found that the leaves, small branches, etc had completely covered the leaf guards. Water couldn't run off down into the gutter. (My husband hadn't cleaned the debris away in a few years.) There was so much black goop that he pulled down! David went ahead and removed all of the debris and didn't even ask for more money. That was not on my contract, and he didn't have to do it. He saved us money in the long run by doing this simple preventative job. David did not charge any additional fee, but I chose to add more. He is a hard worker, honest, and willing to work with you. I have had 3 contractors here recently....plumbers, landscape, etc. This can be frustrating as I get older and cannot do much of the work myself. This was a pleasant experience, which was a relief. I will definitely call him again.

I had called the deck doktor several times and left mesages and even spoke to him once. He said he would get back with me asap, that was over 4 months ago.

Gave me and accurate and complete estimate. Came back a couple of weeks later and cleaned deck, said it might be three to four weeks before he was back to stain but had an opening in his schedule about 4 days later and came back and stained., Work was completed in a professional manner ...Very happy with outcome.

Great experience. We hired him for a fence job following the work he did on our deck. Outstanding.

At Mr. Stillwell's request, we left our name, address, etc. on his answering machine. (He was busy at the time.) He never returned our call.

I was impressed with David from the very first when he arrived to scope out the project. He was on time and provided me with his insurance information, showed photos of his work, and was very courteous. He came by several times before I even hired him, to take measurements and color matches. He was very thorough and offered suggestions on how to minimize my cost while achieving the results I desired. That raised my comfort level considerably, as this was a challenging project. David provided me with a professional estimate with a time table for the job. He was head and shoulders above the other bidders and was awarded the job. I am very happy with the results. David was on time and his bill came in at the mid-range of his estimate. It was quite reasonable, considering the scope of the project.. There were a couple of unexpected problems, which David handled capably and professionaly, without affecting the timing or the cost. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I will definitely hire him again!

Fantastic after the rain finally stopped and he was able to get some nice weather. He is very professional and does superior work. Our deck looks great. Even his music was beautiful and peaceful drifting through the open windows. I highly recommend. I appreciated the way he protected out shrubs and patio while doing the work. In the past we have had our shrubs damaged by another company.

Fantastic service and workmanship. David provided by far the lowest bid for the construction. He oversaw the work himself and was always on time or let us know when he wouldn't be (usually on account of the weather). I have since recommended him for some inside woodwork, which he completed in impressive fashion.

The work was done fantastically. David used just two photo's to draw up quick plans which they changed several times during construction. Each time David was easy to work with and reasonable in the minor charges and time it took to get the work done. They have been extremely pleased with his service and responsiveness, especially when compared to other contractors.
