Description of Work: They did routing and unblocking of the sewage system. They had the rod. They did the expensive clean out. They had to replace busted pipes by the injector pump.

Description of Work: They were great. I had a problem with a leak in the basement and paid another company over $6000 to install a sump pump. They messed it up royally and the basement leaded worse after they were done. They of course blamed it on me. Downing helped me discover what the real problem was, fixed it, and cleaned up the mess left by the first company. I am very pleased with their work and professional knowledge they displayed. Also with they friendly way they worked with me and answered all my questions.

Description of Work: I got an estimate to put in a vanity and tub surround in my bathroom, plus replace the kitchen faucet. I had already bought the vanity, tub surround, and kitchen faucet. I just wanted them to install these things. Ben Franklin wanted to charge me $3,995.00 for this work. I got other estimates and hired another person to do all this work, plus other jobs such as put some insulation in the attic, replace toilet flange and seat, seal around my splash board in the kitchen, change some pipes to copper to my tub, change an electrical outlet in my bedroom...all for $1,580.00.

 + -1 moreI had used this company before for my heating system, so I called them for an estimate. They told me it would be $69 for the service call to get the estimate. So the guy came out and looked at the toilet, which was leaking at the pressure regulator inside the tank. He told me I needed to replace the entire Flushmate system for $500. I pointed out that just the one part was leaking, and asked if they couldn't just replace that part. He called the office and talked to the boss and said no, the whole Flushmate needs to be replaced. I told him I'd have to think about it. I spoke with my dad about the whole situation and he suggested checking with plumbing supply places to see if they carried the part. The first store I checked, Milne Supply in Munster had a replacement kit for the part I needed for about $43.00. I bought it and my dad installed it in less than an hour. It works great, and I didn't have to spend $500.00.

Description of Work: Have hot water heat throughout the house. It was making a pinging noise, and the catch tank needed to be drained before the heating season. Technician found almost no water in system, a bad pressure gauge on the boiler, a couple of valves that leaked through. Technician replaced auto fill valve, installed new gauge, replaced leaking valves, installed a new relief valve. Technician refilled the system with water and checked each radiator for water flow.

 + -1 moreTHEY WERE ALRIGHT. WE HAD SOME LITTLE PROBLEMS, BUT ONLY ONE BIG ONE. THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM WRONG THE FIRST TIME AND WHEN A DIFFERENT GUY CAME OUT HE FOUND THE REAL PROBLEM. WE STILL HAD TO PAY FOR BOTH VISITS.
