A little on the pricey side but not that much more than others. Thing was, when Ben showed up I was expecting a two or three day wait but he told me that he could get right on it. Soon he was on the phone and before you know it I had more Downing trucks in my drive than a plumbers convention. The wife and I laughed that the neighbors probably thought that we must have had a major plumbing failure. Soon Dave showed up to assist with the installation and in just a few hours our shiny new tubs and faucets were ready to go. All of the workmen were very polite and capable. This is the third time that I've used Downing in as many years and I am satisfied. Thanks guys.

The tech was very good about going over what they could or could not do. Unfortunately I would have hired them if they could have been able to do the job required for the property.

About a year and a half to two years before this another company put in a sump pump and they screwed up the instalation royally and i tried to get them to fix it for over a year and they said it was my fault the floor in the basement was leaking. So finally i got tired of it and i had downing come over and we figured out what the problem was and what the solution was and they fixed it. They also put in a brand new water pump and filtration system we have a well out here.

What happened was the water pump they installed started to leak. We still aren't sure why but they came out , it was under warranty and they replaced it.

They came out promptly, determined that no action was necessary at this time, and left a free estimate of what may be needed in the future.

Went very well. They are the best reliable plumbing business out there. They supplied and installed new double basin wall hung laundry tray with new laundry faucet and waste piping under sink. They also installed new laundry drain line to tub and new laundry riser connecting to existing drain above ground and the back to existing vent line. The next day they returned to dispose of everything that was removed. I can't imagine having anyone else do my plumbing. As a matter of fact they will start installing a new interior domestic water supply pipe system in my home tomorrow and that review will be forthcoming. As always they are the best.

It was excellent. Keith came on the weekend and he was really courteous. He came with in two a hours of me calling him. He also recommended a company to help with our leakage and those people were awesome. I'm very grateful that he recommended them to me.

Use this company if you want to sit around all day wait for them to show up!!!

Everything went perfect from beginning to end . I received a call every morning to alert me to the workers being on their way, to the job that would be done that day even to the job that would be done the next day. They were very friendly, and professional. I would recommend them to anyone, but be sure to get this particular one because there are many.

Was in need of a new toilet due to the age and condition of old toilet

I called and easily scheduled an appointment for the next day. Waited around all day, but they eventually came at 4:00pm. The plumber was not professional. He did not cover his feet with the paper shoes when he came in, and seemed to have an attitude about the plumbing problem I was experiencing. I believe he charges me too much, but I just wanted to get the problem fixed. I received a quote over the phone from someone else the day before for $125.00, but I didn't know I was going to get charged more than double that. At the end, he did fix the pipe and performed quality work. They probably wouldn't be my first call next time I have a plumbing problem.

It was terrible experience. I did have to call them again to look at the sump pump and requested that they send someone else, and the gentleman that came out for this was much better. I was upset that we were charged so much and there was an extreme lack of professionalism.

They are prompt, dependable and reasonably priced.

They did good quality of work, and I think they were about the same price as everyone else. They were very quick in getting back to me, and getting the work completed. They were a little pricey, so I wouldn't use them again.

Outstanding job, company and their team took care of us in this difficult repair process in insuring that we would have completely functional plumbing. The plumbers are all professionals, were highly concerned with "doing it right" and took pride in their work. As homeowners, we were overwhelmed by the other structural repairs ongoing and this company did a fantastic job. They're the best.

They came to my home and worked on my water heater so that I could down to cleaning up the mess mother nature made,

All was okay for a little over a month, then one day about a week ago, it was really hot so I had the air on for a few hours in the afternoon. Once again, there was water backing up in the drain inside, and my floor in the hallway was a little wet.. I had another company come out and run a video camera down the main drain outside, and LO AND BEHOLD NO CLAY, no broken tiles or broken pipes, all he found was SLIGHT blockage from a tree in my front yard. Adn the cost for that was $175.....so I saved $3500!!! As far as the wet hallway, when Benjamin Franklin was here, the guy did not put the condensation pipe back into the drain, it was just lying on the floor!!! If this was an honest mistake, it was still bad, that was his job. BUT, being that he told me I needed a $3500 repair job that I did NOT need, I really believe it was intentional leaving it off; knowing I would have water again, and I would think that of course it was the MAIN SEWER problem. Fool me once, that is it. This is the very first time I haev EVER had a problem with any type of service technician and I will tell everyone I know to tell everyone THEY know to NOT use this company. I think they create problems and hope they find some unsuspecting person who believes them, who will not get another estimate or opinion, and just have the work done. By the way, the kitchen sink leak only cost $140 to repair, not $250.. I have since talked to people who know of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and they really are NOT a reputable company. All they want to do is upsell you, and find problems that are not even there. SHAME ON THEM!!!

They were on time and very knowledgeable concerning my problem. Unlike two other service providers, these guys figured out right away the additional vent stack problem. The entire job took about 90 minutes, which included working on the roof. Well worth the call but I wish the price was a little lower. Don't we all wish that!

They came out quickly when called and gave me an estimate in a timely manner. Their estimate clearly laid out the best to worse case scenario for me so I would not be surprised. They discovered that I had a tile system around my house that was not attached to a pump (the worse case scenario) which may be why I was getting water in the basement. I now have a pump and even with some heavy rains there was no water in the basement. The work was done quickly and very well. I would definitely not hesitate to call them again.

WATER WAS RISING IN THE BASEMENT DRAIN BY THE LAUNDRY ROOM. WE CALLED BENJAMIN FRANKLIN ON WEDNESDAY EVENING AND THEY IMMEDIATELY CAME THAT SAME EVENING. THE PLUMBER SAID WE NEEDED A NEW SUMP PUMP, PIPE AND NEW BRICKWORK. GOD BLESS HIS HEART, HE REACHED DOWN THE GRAY WATER AND FOUND A WRITING PEN CAP THAT WAS OBSTRUCTING THE PUMP. HE EXPLAINED THAT EVENING IN DETAIL WHAT THE JOB ENTAILED. THIS COMPANY HAS MY UTMOST RESPECT. GOD BLESS THEM ALL

About 6 mounths prior to this date I purchased a new refrigrator with an ice maker and had the water line connected by a freind. The line though was connected to the water line prior to the softner and even with a filter rusty water was getting into the system. The estimate above was simply to change this line to the water line after the softner. When the fellow above was here he pointed out that the water line to which the connection would be made should be in copper as opposed to the black plastic it is. He said he'd give the estimate both ways, changing it or not. The estimate not changing the 25 or so feet of piping was $624. which included patching the hole in the water line where the existing connection is. The estimate doing that and changing the water line to copper was $1,058. He also stated this price included cleaning my four year old water heater, something I didn't ask for. My wife and I let the fellow know we'd think about it and he left talking about how important it was to clean the water heater. The next day I called another company in the area (The Plumber). They couldn't come out yesterday but had given me a rough figure over the phone of $175. Today a fellow from this place came, who was also very polite, and agreed that the water line should be changed to copper and gave me a price of $300. for the whole job plus a couple other little things. We have excepted the $300.00 estimate from "The Plumber" and feel that "Downing's Benjamin Franklin Plumbing" should trade in their plumbing license for one to steal.

The service technician (Keith Drake) was very professional and oh so clean! I did not even have to sweep or mop up after he left. He diagnosed the problem, wrote his recommendations and offered options. I opted for him to install new kitchen faucet from his company instead of my having to purchase one for him to install. I also was in need of shut off valves which he also installed. The faucet works and looks beautiful. I really like the soap dispenser and where the hot and cold water knob is located. I just love the way this faucet is designed. I believe it was worth the price I would highly recommend this company to my family and friends. Thank you. Usually,

We have lived in our house for over 15 years and this is the first plumber that could figure out how the system in our house actually works. We were thrilled with them. They knew what they were doing and were very prompt and courteous. They were really good, they gave us estimates in writing about what they were going to do. Some of it was going to be covered by the insurance, but some was not. We had all the paperwork we needed and everything that explained that. I would give them a B for price because they are a little pricey. I would definitely use them again in the future.
