Rick Remaly Painting

The house is steel sided. The house was last cleaned and painted in 1988 per the previous owner. Rick used all the right cleaning solutions and a very nice, new machine to power wash. I stayed with the job the whole time to observe. There is a remarkable difference in the siding. The power wash removed nearly all dirt and mildew in the shady area too. He recommended a very light sanding/ scuffing of the surface which should be the only final prep for painting and not require much time. He discussed with me the proper paints to use and technique. In short, I was very happy with his work. This is the first job I have done with angie's list. If you choose someone to power wash prior to painting or staining, I recommend Rick, who is a professional painter also. Please be patient with his setting the schedule, as he is busy, but the good quality service providers usually are.

Rick and his team were on time, professional and did an outstanding job. The work quality is outstanding and their end of day clean up is above and beyond demonstrating their level of detail. Rick also has great recommendations for paint & paper ideas. We will definitely use them again!

Coti, Rick's son, was my painter. He is very good for his trade. He showed up at 8am and I showed him where the rooms were that I wanted painted and where I had the paint. I had also been speaking to Rick for about a month prior to make sure I knew I had everything I needed. I knew that I needed to purchase the paint. I also asked him about the extra room and told him the size. The gave me a quote and I thought it was a fair, so I asked him to include it in the list to paint also. I also let him know that I wanted the ceilings painted. He gave me a quote for that as well. Coti, who did the work, is very professional. He wanted me to take a look on how things were turning out after ceilings were done, walls etc; just to make sure I liked it, and I liked the color. If there were any spots he made sure that he took care of them right away. Coti could have had his work done the same day, but it was so humid out, that he came back the next day. I was expecting that, so he did not inconvenience me at all. I will be hiring this company again; for the professionalism, work ethic and concern for the customer.

Great experience. Rick & helper called and actually came earlier than planned. They were in and out in 2 hrs since it was two of them. They provided the materials, repaired the wall and ceiling to my satisfaction, and did a great job on the clean up. They were friendly and professional. I was pleased with their service and will use them again.

I purchased the $299 for 3 rooms deal which included my 2 bedrooms and living room and was told that it would cost an additional $375 for my bathroom, kitchen/dining room and hallway. This did not include the ceilings or trim. The painter came around 8:15am. I had already purchased 7 gallons of paint, but I was told that it might not be enough to cover all areas with enough coverage/coats. He said I might have to purchase 4 more gallons of paint. It turns out that it was enough paint. The only issue I have is along the edges close to the ceilings and fixtures where the painter used a paint brush, the coverage looks different than the areas where he used a paint roller, its not blended evenly. He did point it out to me and there is paint left over so I will fix the areas so the coverage is blended smoothly and evenly.

Rick & crew were on time and finished early both days. They moved and covered all furniture, repaired imperfections in the drywall and were delightful and courteous through it all. They even went out of their way to be quiet and stayed downstairs while the babies were sleeping. We're very happy with their work as our house looks fresh and clean again. They have since painted my in-law's house with the same great efficiency and effectiveness. Thanks, guys!

Bought as a special deal. Rick was prompt in contacting me and he and his son were both pleasant. He is the 4th painter I have worked with, had the best English language skills and price, but by far the poorest quality. For example, most painters will help move items away from the wall, this painter cannot move a thing. That was a mere nuisance. The real trouble is absolutely no patching was done, items like hangers were just painted right over, and my wooden floors, trim, and doors are splattered with paint. They tried to tell me this was :from the last "painter"...but these are the new colors. They rushed the job in one day and bottom line is-you get what you pay for. I paid cheap, got cheap results. For example, I offered to pay extra because yellow was not covering, he told me he would do an extra coat and decided not to charge me-you can clearly see he only did the extra painting in the field, not the edge...I would rather have just paid and gotten it done. On the good side, they are very nice people...I think if you have a plain square room and just want the job to be what you could have done yourselves, they would be fine. If you want a pro paint job, I would recommend spending the extra cash and going with someone else.

I couldn't recommend this company highly enough. Cody did a superb job patcing and painting three rooms and a ceiling.

It went very well. Rick, the owner, did the whole job himself. He was on time, professional, and just an overall good guy to work with. He even stayed a little overtime just to make sure the job was done right. Even made an exception to come on Sunday because that was the only day that worked for me. Would definitely use again. Fine, but it would be nice to know that they were booked out far in advance prior to purchasing the deal.

They were a great team. Fast, kind, and courteous. They did a great job and not only patched the cracks, also fixed the nails and screws which popped out. I will recommend them to everyone.

I found Rick on Angie's list and reached out for a quote on cabinet painting. I was able to send him a pic of the cabinets and receive a quote over the phone. While he's very busy, he was good about keeping in touch, and answering the many questions I had regarding paint color, hardware, etc. The day Rick was scheduled to start our job, we had a bit of a schedule snafu with our floor installers, and he was gracious enough to cancel our work that day and return on a Sunday in order to fit our job into his schedule. The effort was much appreciated. When he showed up to do the original work we also asked him to do some additional work, which he agreed to do and was very fair in his pricing. All members of his team were polite and professional and his son Coti was meticulous in his painting. They cleaned up after themselves very well, which I can say is RARE with contractors, and we will have them return very soon to do some additional work for us. Very happy with the quality, price, reliability and response time of this contractor. We're working with several and so far having a very difficult time finding those who actually do what they say they will, when they say they will, so RRP was a breath of fresh air in this regard.

Details, I am not sure what is expected. The painter arrived timely and began his job immediately. He did not take any breaks as he seemed to enjoy his job and was more concerned about doing a good job. I am pleased to have worked with a service provider with such high work ethics.

I gave the company an A because of the prompted response Rick was very helpful in explaining why there might be additional charges. I was not aware of what the additional charges would be and I had a specific budget for this project.

Ricks son Coti did all the work. A personable young man...He returned the 2nd day to finish the job. We were very please with the final work. I truly appreciated the prompt communication with Rick!

They arrived on time and first power washed the house exterior. They replaced stucco and trim boards that were in poor shape, installed new boards, scraped old paint, nailed back a falling soffit trim, primed, caulked, and painted the house. They secured a deck post that was off center, and installed a new garage door trim segment. Upon completing the entire exterior painting; they washed the exterior window panes, and cleaned up -- all done with a positive attitude. They did a great job. The house looks very nice.

All went excellent. The plaster was repaired, sanded and painted. The painting was done all along the top section of the wall where the patch was made so it blended perfectly with existing paint. I am extremely satisfied.. and happy, with the results.

Rick came with another member of his crew and they were very friendly and professional. They prepped the kitchen for painting. They were very respectful of our home and ensuring that they were careful with the paint. Our dining room and living room floors were recently sanded and they laid tarp in the areas that they were using. There was a drawer that needed to be repaired because it was in very bad shape and Rick repaired the drawer and it is currently functional now. The cabinets were painted and we were provided with instuctions to ensure that the cabinets cured well. If I had any complaint there are two cabinet faces that could have used one more coat. After they dried I could see a slight bleed through, however that's only because I live there and see them regularly. No one else has noticed. Everyone loves the cabinets think they look great and so do we. They did a great job of clean up at the end in making sure they left things the way they found them. I would recommend them and I would definitely use them again.

Excellent job but was supposed to call back with estimate for painting and did not call back.

I found Rick on Angies List back in the first part of April, I had him come and give me an estimate. I e-mailed him a week later to check availability, my shock and surprise he had booked up through July! I had 3 other painters come in but I really wanted Rick. I was going to hire one of the others but I sent Rick one more e-mail just in case he'd had a cancelation. To my surprise, he would be available for the following week! He said he'd be here at 8:00 Wed. and on the dot he and his helper RJ arrived. I had just had wood flooring installed and was really concerned but after the first day I was so pleased. We had moved all of the furniture into the middle of the room and they covered everything. They did a room a day, carefully removing all of my window treatments, at the end of the job, everything was put back with care. Oh one more thing, on day 3 I had new windows installed on 2 floors. . .Rick caulked and painted all of them at no added cost!! You just don't find their type of service these day. As you can probably tell I would give him a reference at any time, as a matter of fact I did have him give me a quote for the outside of my home.

Well the ad said: are you tired of looking at the cracks and holes in the wall. Yes I was but he can't fit anyone in until later in July and maybe not until August. That's too long. Need work done soon.

When Rick fist came into our condo, he confirmed the work that was previously agreed to from pictures we had sent. He then explained in detail what the process would be to return the bathrooms into "like-new" condition and the timeframe to completion. He and his son Cody worked very quickly (not even taking any breaks) and were extremely professional in all respects. They made sure that any debris was IMMEDIATELY removed making my wife very happy. The cabinets, walls, and ceilings were completed on the first day and Cody came back the second day to paint after the patching had cured. Everything was covered in heavy duty tarps and they made sure everything else in the bathroom stayed clean throughout the repair and paint process. When the job was completed, the bathrooms looked brand new! We are very satisfied with everything they did and are definitely considering them for future painting projects.

He was prompt in his reply and professional, however he cannot do the work until later July & I need the work done sooner. I am getting a refund.
