I paid for a service to do staining of my cabinets - I called him up the first time, he told me that he wasn't working that weekend so to call him on Monday. I called him on Monday, he didn't answer so I left a message. He didn't return my call. I had my husband call, he answered and said that he would come over. He made a time and said he would come over on the 4th to check it out to see what it was. When I called to see what it covered, they said it covered up to 14 cabinets. When I spoke with him he told me that it covers 10 cabinets, and would have to pay extra for more cabinets/doors. He told me that what I asked for it comes in two different sections. On Thursday, around 1:30, he called me and told me something came up and he can't make it. Asked if he could come on Sunday, I told him that was okay. I was supposed to go to a gathering on Sunday (12/7/2014), I didn't go because he said he was coming over. He never showed up, didn't call, nothing.

Rick was knowledgeable and professional throughout the process, as well as efficient. We hope to use him again in the future for other projects.

Of course, when Angie's List advertises a daily "big deal" , there is a great deal of interest, but I put in my order, and waited for my turn for the discounted service. My painting job was not an emergency, but a large 790 SF multi-room ceiling that I could not have completed smoothly with a "do it yourself" approach. Communications with Rick before the day of the job using the "Angie's list" web sight were clear and very helpful. I went shopping and got the $175 worth of materials needed for the project, which brought my cost up to $575. The pro's that came to my house were Steve and Don. They were a pleasure to work with, and got the job done very professionally, and cleanly, without making a mess of my home and my life. They were fun to work with. Rick and his partner removed the damaged drywall, patched in a very large piece, and sanded it flat once the mud dried. They even filled several other holes in our basement walls with spackle that had been dinged over the years by our kids. The area where they worked was vacuumed and left very clean. Rick was super friendly and very professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

This is the second, or third, time we have hired Rick and his crew. They have literally painted two whole floors of our home, as well as the kitchen cabinets, and treated two brick fireplaces, as well as the outside of the house stated above. They are very busy but managed to do everything we needed, and be sure we are satisfied. They even touched up areas we damaged while moving things in, which is none of their fault. There were a few areas that needed another coat, but it was taken care of without question. Because they are so busy, I imagine it can difficult to to connect if you do not text, but Rick was always very good about returning my texts, even while on a 40 ft. ladder. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and will likely do so when we eventually get to the upper floor/bathrooms on our new home.

Cool weather and rain delayed work. Obviously not the contractors fault.Work done professionally and neatly. Drop clothes protected against drips onto walks or greenery. Came back for inspection after finishing and my wife had several points she wanted touched up --- she tends to be reasonably picky at times. The half hour of work ---there really wasn't a lot to be done ---was accomplished quickly, professionally, without complaint. My current intent is to hire the provider when I paint the insider of my house next year. .

Excellent job done by Rick and his assistant Bob - the ceiling came out beautifully!! Work was done skillfully, and with extreme care to make certain the problem never repeats. Mr. Remaly is a master craftsman and I would highly recommend him to all. I will be calling him back for additional work after the holidays, or sooner if he can fit us into his schedule.

Rick was very easy to work with and patient with all the questions we had. Steve and Ron were outstanding! They did a great job repairing all the holes in the walls and all 3 rooms look great! Very professional, hard working and thorough. We will definitely use Rick and his team for future painting projects.

The process was quick and easy. Very professional and punctual. Will definitely use again.

I purchased the $129 for 3 hours of plaster and drywall in late summer. We had originally scheduled Rick for early September, but his shop was flooded that morning and he had to cancel. He stayed in touch with us and was finally able to come on October 29th. Rick is passionate about his work and takes great pride in the detailing. We told him what we wanted and he delivered! We love his enthusiasm and dedication to customer service and satisfaction.

He never called back to follow up on giving me an estimate after reminder calls. It would be so much better if he just told people he was too busy. Quite unprofessional.

ANGIE'S LIST EMPLOYEES WERE GREAT HELP. MR. REMALY DID NOT CONTACT ME BACK FOR APPROX 20 DAYS SO I CALLED HIM AGAIN HE HAS BEEN BUSY & COULD NOT AGREE ON A SERVICE DATE IN TIME.

The provider informs me that he is deducting his travel time to do the work (3 hours) on an 8 hour job.he did not specify that there was a geographic restriction or extra charges. this is not honorable, fair or accurate representation. I am very disappointed and am becoming disenchanted with this service.

The only problem I had was that they unplugged everything into wrong out lets and I had to find where they went to. That was frustrating.

The revision of the "Overall" rating represents some post-business discussions which revealed a communication failure.

Cancelling and refunding the deal. He seemed reluctant to work with me and then he wanted more money.

The first purchased the company never reached out to schedule for the service to be performed. The second purchased for exterior pressure washing, they did reach out to schedule an appoinment, but on multipel occasions they never showed up and always had to rescudle. On one incidient they claimed to come out to my home and no one was present, when in fact I was home the entire day, and if in fact they did show up that was a job that did not require anyone to be present to perform the service. They acknowledged they missed other appointments and offered to do more work for the inconvenience. After several emails and the back and fourth I decided to end both deals with this company.

I contacted them numerous times and left messages and they never answered any of my questions or bothered to give me a call back. It would be nice if they would call you, because sometimes the timing is important. I understand they have a lot of work but still we have a lot of painting in my apartment that needs to be done, and would like to know if the job is going to be done or not.

Cost estimation: Rick was very detailed, answered all questions in depth and helped with paint types and colors. Actual job: Rick and his team was on time every day. He had estimated the job would take four days, but completed it in three days without staying later than the time allotted each day. His team removed furniture, pictures, etc. and replaced everything perfectly in each room as it was completed. Everything was protected to ensure no damage. He and his team went beyond the scope of the job when they saw anything that needed to be fixed to enable them to complete the job, i.e., the gutter was loose, they fixed it while painting the outside. There is not enough room to provide all the little extras they performed. Several rooms had accent colors. The paint job is so professional, my house looks like a magazine lay out!! Another important aspect is time. Schedules did not have to be changed while the house was being painted. It was not necessary to be present while Rick painted the house. Overall Comment: Rick is professional, direct, honest and just plain nice!! I would and will recommend him to anyone that wants to have a pleasant experience working with a true professional while achieving their design goals!!

He only returned one call and we arranged a time to come out for an estimate and he never came out. I finally sent him another email and he asked for a picture and I do not have that capability and I decided to use someone else at that point.

Arrived 15 minutes early ready to go! There were 3 men. I paid for 3 hours of work - assuming that was for 1 man; we agreed on 3 men for 1 hour. it worked out alright. They got the job done; he and his men went over by 0.5 hour. Their work was very good. If/when I need such services, I will definitely call Rick and his men. Absolutely.

We had to coordinate our schedules, since I had other work going on at the time. By the time I had an opening, he was too busy and we could never get an appointment worked out.

Rick was very polite and friendly on the phone. He said that he was working on a cabinet job and that he would come to my house on his way home the same day to give me an estimate. I told him to call me when he was on his way. Rick never called me nor did he come like he said he would. I finally called him but there was no answer. I guess his business is getting too big, he did say that he didn't have openings until November. I have a feeling that he will continue to get negative reviews if he continues to break appointments with new customers.

Please DO NOT use this contractor! We did an Angie's List deal with Rick on August 4, 2014. He did a nice job and said that we could now call him directly, if we had additional needs. Since he did good work, and I genuinely liked him, I asked him to do the remaining work on our condo prior to us putting it on the market. He was unavailable for 4 weeks. But since I now trusted and liked him (I even gave him a Foreman grill and toaster oven), we decided to wait for his availability, even pushing off our list date until he could complete the work on Thursday, September 4th. He knew that we had changed our schedule and that we were depending on him. Nonetheless, he cancelled 25 minutes before he was supposed to arrive, because there was bad traffic (he lives in Indiana). I told him again how important it was that we get this work done, as our house was going on the market in 5 days on Wednesday, September 10th. To compensate, he said he would come today, Sunday, September 7th. This morning, 45 minutes before he was supposed to arrive, he texted and cancelled. There was again bad traffic... We are now left in a position to try to find new contractors in the next 2 days to complete our work. I called him to tell how what a horrible position he has knowingly left us in, but he didn't even have the courage to talk with me. Guys like Rick don't deserve your money or your business. He comes off like this great and helpful guy, but please don't be fooled into thinking that he cares about you or your needs or that he will actually come through for you. Because if he is inconvenienced, you will be left in the same position that we are. I feel sorry for him, and I honestly don't know how he can stand himself. I don't know how you hurt people and leave them hanging when they need you and have depended on you. He is a coward and completely unphased though, so please think about if this is someone that you want in your home. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it.
