Description of Work: I am not giving them the highest rating because of this one issue...I removed all the drywall from the inside of the wall of the garage the new doors are on. They nailed boards against instead of between joists so I've got a lot of work to do to make the wall flat so drywall can be installed. I didn't think to discuss this with them in advance---if that's important to you be sure to bring it up. I assumed they would know not to do that. They don't run wires through attics and instead just wanted to tack it on the ceiling. They left it wire tied like I wanted until I have a chance to run it through the attic. (I think it is a good idea for them not to do attic work, but be sure to discuss leaving the stuff wire tied if you want to run it through your attic.) Other than that I was happy with the doors, openers, etc. they recommended and installed. There were no extra charges---it cost exactly what they said it would. Based on the companies reputation I diddn't want other companies to do the work so din't get an estimate from anyone else---I don't know how they compare on price. They hauled away the old doors and openers and left work site clean.

Description of Work: Steve's originally installed my garage door in my new house.we've had to have one of the cables replaced twice on the left side. The total cost is about $150. Now, the spring on the left side is broken the service additional came today did not have my history which they promised me he would and he said the spring snapping has nothing to do with the cable even though they're both on the same side and it will cost me $180 to replace both springs. Our house is only four years old I think this is way too many service calls on one garage door we only have one driver and it does not get a lot of use

Description of Work: The spring on our garage door broke. I called Steve's and they came out the next day and fixed it. They did a great job and the person that came was very nice and professional.

Description of Work: When my husband called to tell them we were having problems with our garage opener, they first went thru steps to see if they could help him fix it remotely over the phone. When that didn't work, they came to see if our opener could be fixed, but it was not fixable. They did a temporary fix and said it might last a few weeks, months or even into next year, but unfortunately since they had to put it on its highest power, when the opener finally quits--it's possible that it could come down on our car. They did NOT push us to get a new one, but just shared the consequences of it quitting on its own. They gave us a good deal on the price of a new opener, only charge less than half of their normal house call and put our new opener in within a week. We were very pleased.

Description of Work: My garage door wasn't working after I tapped it with my van one day as I was backing out. I had checked the sensors and tension after reading the instruction booklet, but couldn't fix it myself.

Description of Work: The spring on my overhaed garage door was broken. I called the company about 10 a.m. and they said they could come by 11 a.m. One man arrived a little before 11 a.m. He confirmed that the spring was broken. I had him look at the other spring and we agreed that since it was 25 years old, maybe he should replace it also. I asked when he could do the work and he said right then. In half an hour he had replaced both springs. Each spring cost $ 50 and the trip and labor were $70. I felt this was reasonable in todays market. I thought the service was great. Description of Work: I had a new up-to-code garage door opener installed, an outdoor keypad added, and sold me a new remote device that eliminated the multiple remotes for my four doors by combining them into one four-button remote. They also inspected my other garage doors and brought those up to code (in one case moving the electronic eye safety devices).
