Old furnace had a broken heat exchanger, so had to be replaced. ARS did a good job of removing the old furnace and installing the new furnace. Some problems with condensation and leakage of water from the exhaust pipe that goes up through the roof, which they returned to fix and correct. New furnace worked very well during the winter of 2013-2014. We are very pleased with our new Amana furnace.

Bryan was great. He tried everything he could to fix our issues. When the first fix wouldn't work, he tried several alternatives until one finally worked. He was up-front about the issues, solutions, and prices. I would recommend him to anyone and I will be using his services again.

Bryan from ARS came out to take a look at what we thought was a broken & leaking kitchen drain. He figured out that the water was coming from the drain overflow pipe and said he would snake the drain. While he was able to clear out enough tree roots to fix the overflow issues, he told us that it will happen again (terra-cotta pipes underground = easy for roots to grow into). He proposed a couple of fixes for the future regarding re-routing the kitchen drain for a permanent fix. He was very easy to work with and called approximately 20 minutes before arrival to make someone was at home. Bryan did a great job explaining how the drains were hooked in, what issues he ran into during the drain cleaning, and discussing how we might fix the problem permanently in the future. Overall, a good experience.

He found some debris that had recently made its way into the unit and was causing significant noise. The technician successfully inspected and also took care of the rattling. B’s on responsiveness and punctuality because their first attempt to come to the house was a miss as they had written down the wrong address and went to the wrong house on the day of the appointment. They didn’t call us immediately, rather, we called them the next day to ask what happened. They should have picked up the phone when they realized something was wrong. Once the tech did finally get to our house, he did a great job and was very professional.

The repairman was very efficient in his repair; the slow leaks that have been plaguing us are now gone. That being said, the cost was higher than I expected. Apparently, some cartridges needed to be replaced, rather than some simple O-rings. Still, the higher cost was worth it (it certainly helped to use Angie's $50 advance purchase coupon toward payment!)

Firm indicated the only way to reach the part to be replaced would require cutting a hole in the side of the fireplace. We chose a firm that Indcated they could reach that affected part by going from the outside at a lower cost. This turned out to be an easier and lower cost alternative.

The men made recommendations and when we decided, they showed up when they said they would and we had an overallgood experience. All went well.

They are done and ran a rooter down the line. The work was fine. I have been over charged and they can't understand how the big deal works. It has been pretty hard to get in contact with them and get any answers. They say they will call back and they don't always do that. I told them the coupon was for $100 and they keep saying it was for $50.

We were already planning to replace our furnace and had contacted several companies and obtained estimates. Ironically, our furnace went out the day after we had decided to use them. We called to let them know we wanted them to do the work and that our furnace had just gone out. They had the new furnace and air conditioner done within about a day. It was late in the afternoon on February 5, 2013, and our bathroom plumbing was plugged. Tried using Liquid plumber and plunger to no avail. Called another local plumbing contractor who was too busy to schedule us for at least three days, so I called ARS in Lafayette. The gentleman there was very courteous and said he would be out as soon as he could, but was on another job at the time. He arrived at approximately 6:00 pm. He assessed the problem and gave me an estimate of the cost of $185 , which was approved and began to work. He had to manually dig and expose the sewer line since the was no cleanout. He worked until well after dark and realized that he did not have enough equipment and had to go back to Lafayette for it. We decided because of the lateness that he would return the next day for to finish the job. He did arrive early the next day and finished the job to my satisfaction and cleaned up the mess. When he gave me the bill I was shocked because it was the same as he had first quoted even though he came after hours, stayed late, and made an extra trip back to Lafayette for more equipment. The job on the ejector pit was complicated by a great deal of water that had collected under the basement floor. The tech brought in a pump which allowed him to continue with the work. The original estimate was not changed as I would have expected with the additional complications and work involved for him. Everything that he has fixed is working properly.

Originally wanted the bathtub shower handle replaced. After talking with plumber decided to replace that and cold/hot handles. When he went to turn the main water valve off he said it was leaking slightly. I decided to have that replaced as well. He had some difficulty replacing the handles but finally was able to remove the old ones. The main water valve replacement went ok. He needed to come back twice to adjust the handles because they were a little too hard to turn on/off for my wife but he did so promptly and nicely. On a side note we called them later that year to look at our water heater which had a problem. After waiting hours and a couple of calls to their office to see why it was taking so long we cancelled the appt and went with a local company. While the plumbing visit went ok I feel there are better companies out there that are more responsive and less expensive.

Our renter complained that she had sewage backing up into the basement. It was a holiday weekend, and we were worried that we'd have to pay an exorbitant amount of money to get the problem fixed. ARS showed up promptly, and didn't charge us anything extra for the holiday visit. They removed "excessive feminine products" from our plumbing, and we were able to give our tenant a warning that further behavior which would cause problems would be her responsibility. We never had another plumbing issue with her again. :)

I called then and they came out the same day. They set up, cleared up the problem and made suggestions to eliminate further issues. They cleaned up after the job and were very professional.

they arrived at the time arranged and proceded to drain the water heater very professional I told them that I had a rod from the manufacture of the waterheater and it should arrive any minute. while the water heater was draining he worked on the toilet. he finished the toilet and then put the new rod in and filled the water heater and made sure before he left that everything was working. he arrived at ten and was done by noon. over all it was a good experience, I thought it was kind of pricey but Im not dis satified with the service.

ARS came out to do a tune up on my air conditioner. They found that it was low on coolant and gave me the option of just adding more or order a new air conditioner. My equipment was old and so i went with a brand new one. The tech went thorugh and told me that my furnace would need to be removed completely to install the coils and that the job would take 6+ hours. A crew came in the next morning and got done in less than 4 hours. I was pleased with the results and my cooling bill dropped from the previous summer. The crew cleaned up all of their mess and came in on budget.

Andy came to service a/c and found it in bad shape. Discussed all the parts in trouble and why he recommended new system. New system warranties and coverage thoroughly explained and understandable. Went over all the options, pros and cons which helped us reach a decision and not the most expensive one! Gerald and Scott installed the system the same day in under 3 hours- all old stuff removed from premises, clean up well done. I wouldn't have known the a/c was off-line if they hadn't told me. Andy had set temp down so house would stay cool while they worked and it did. Shane has done all the faucets and showers. Cleaned up after very well. He did not rush anything, but was very meticulous with the work and cleaning up afterward. I highly recommend these fellows to anyone. ARS may not be the cheapest outfit around, but they work carefully and back up their work with guaruntees and I do not believe their prices are inflated. Overall, it was a great experience.

We were happy with the serviceman's professionalism and demeanor. He arrived at our house at nearly 9:30pm, which was as promised. We had to get the issue fixed and he stayed until it was working again. Was honest about the issues at hand and we felt the bill was high, but fair under the circumstances. The camera was proof that our septic drain was in worse condition than we thought. We would recommend ARS Rescue Rooter to others with the same problem.

I had purchased a new water heater because the old one had started to leak. I attempted to attach it to the water supply myself with gatorbite push connections. Old pipes caused a poor fit. To cut my losses I sought professional help by looking up a plumbing repair service on Angie's List. That is where I found ARS. I called them that night and they set up an appointment the next day between noon and four pm. the plumber arrived a little after one. He was neat, courteous, and efficient. He gave me an estimate in less than five minutes. He explained what he was going to do and that it would take less than an hour. I gave him the go ahead and he completed the work in forty-five minutes including a thorough clean up. The workmanship was excellent. ARS called back a few days later to check on my satisfaction and I said I was completely satisfied

Excellent! I called them on 12/28, the installer came on 12/29 punctually, and was fast, effecient and extremely helpful. I feel the price was very fair for all the work accomplished. Excellent job!

I called them to check the AC because it was not cooling the house. They came out in the morning and it was going to cost over $2000.00 to fix the old unit that was around 20 years old. They gave me a price of $8200.oo to replace unit. That was well out of my reach so he showed me the economy line and installed with a new theromostat it was $3200.00. I caould do that. The tech said they couldn't come until the next day to do the install and I ok'ed it. About 2 pm that same day a knock came at my door and two techs said they got done with the other job early and could do the install that day after all. They left at 7 pm and my house was cooling off nicely. AT about 9:00 that night I notcied I had no hot water. I called the company and they had truned off the hotwater heat ter to do the work. They had a tech call me right back. When I spoke to him he let me know that it would be about 90 min before he could get there because he lived that far away. I told him just have someone call me in the am I didn't need hot water that night. At 7 am the next mornig a tech was at my door light my water heater and appoligised for the mess up. Very nice people.

They were out here quick. They got the air conditioner in. They were here when they said they would be, they always are here when they say they will be here, or they always call if they will be late. They are priced a little high but the quality is great.
