Description of Work: People from this company have been canvassing our community trying to drum up business even though they were told repeatedly that soliciting is prohibited here. Regardless, my husband agreed to make an appointment for an estimate. They never showed up. It all seems shady.

Description of Work: I'll preface this by saying I have not used their services and therefore cannot grade them on that. However, I set an appointment to have one of their guys come out to give me an estimate. Something came up at work so I called and rescheduled to a few days later. I waited around and nobody ever showed up! Then, four days later, someone called me and had the audacity to act like it was no big deal and tried to schedule another time. Needless to say, that's not happening. It's unfortunate because based on other reviews on here it sounds like they might do good work. But if I can't count in them to do the simple...show up when scheduled...then I'm not going to do business with them.

Description of Work: White Oak remodeled our master bathroom. We had them tear out the old room - gutted completely, down to the studs & subfloor - and then electrical and plumbing re-routed, new dry wall installed, built in shelving custom made, new tile shower and flooring, cabinets and counters. They did a fantastic job - the room is beautiful! This is the third major job we've had them do and each time they top the previous one. Their employees are courteous and respectful, punctual, and accommodating to our needs. When the initial quote came higher than our budget, Dave Wilson worked with us to find ways to bring it into budget. Dave and his team are wonderful to work with. We are already planning future projects with them.

Description of Work: Last week a representative of this company knocked on my door (in spite of the "no soliciting" notices in the neighborhood). I told him we were not doing anything until next year. He asked permission to follow up at that time and I said ok. Then he handed me a form to fill out. I tried twice to explain that I was in the middle of something important but he just kept talking and talking until I filled out the form which gave them permission to call me next year (I thought). So I received a phone call 1 week later from another White Oak employee wanting to schedule an estimate. I told him three times that I was not getting estimates until next year but he just kept talking, asking me "what do you have to lose?". When I explained that I would be going to Angie's List when the time came and pick three companies to check out, he replied that "Angies List isn't perfect" and that the reports are frequently planted by competitors who are out to ruin the reputation of White Oak.. He rattled on and on, disregarding anything I said. He finally ran out of steam, said "have a good day" and hung up. The funny thing is that I really would have welcomed the opportunity to learn about a good window supplier and I will in fact be a customer of some one next year. However their approach is offensive and itt will not be White Oak! Oh, and by the way, I am not a competitor of theirs!!

Description of Work: An appointment was set for Saturday morning for a representative to come to our home to give us an estimate for new windows. No one showed up for the appointment. When I called their office, it was closed and I could not reach anyone. I called their office on Monday to complain. The man I spoke to was not at all apologetic, all he cared to do was reset the appointment. I did not reset the appointment.

Description of Work: White Oak construction company came to my house to sell me some windows for my home. They were high pressure sales. I asked them to limit their spiel to 1 hour, but I couldn't get them to leave for an hour and 45 minutes. They said they would give me 40% off for being the display home in the neighborhood. I have 21 small windows in my home and they quoted me a price of $21,000! I said no, they dropped the price to $18,000. I said no again. They dropped it again to $8,000. No again.Their windows are very poor quality, they said if they got a bigger job while they were doing my house, they would leave. They only wanted to sell me "slider windows" and kept pushing those. I wanted a bay window and they wouldn't sell me one. I wanted new windows in my garage, once again they didn't want to sell me those either. They said I should go to the hardware store and buy some windows. I wanted a new bathroom window, they said "board it up." Apparently if they couldn't sell me the slider windows, then they weren't interested. I got the feeling all they had was slider windows. Their product looked identical to what I already have. They said their price was only good for one day. I told them I always think things over night. They were ready to leave. They kept telling me how good their company was and mentioning that they are on Angie's list. I threw their brochure and phone number away. THEN I FOUND OUT WHAT THEY ARE REALLY IN BUSINESS FOR. THEY WANT YOU TO BUY ON CREDIT, THAT'S HOW THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY. I TOLD THEM 3 TIMES THAT I WOULD PAY IN FULL, BUT THEY WOULD ONLY GIVE ME LOAN PAYMENTS ESTIMATES. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR HONESTY, QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE.

Description of Work: No services were performed. Ryan came through my neighborhood on Saturday with a flyer for "White Oak Window & Door." (There is no address on the flyer, though the phone number matches "White Oak Construction.") They were having a sale and I completed paperwork for a free estimate for windows. Ryan indicated that they also did sofitt work in addition to the doors and windows. Greg called Monday--he had all my information from the paperwork I'd filled out--and we set a time Monday night at 6pm for them to come out. Address was verified along with cross-streets and Greg said he knew exactly where I was.

Description of Work: PUT IN NEW COUNTERTOPS IN KITCHEN AND BATHROOM, PAINTED ALL CUPBOARDS. ALSO INSTALLED NEW STOVE, REPLACED AWNING WINDOWS (5 PANELS) PUT TILE BEHIND SINK AND INSTALLED NEW KNOBS.
