Arrovedon on time, very professional, completed the job in one day. Cleaned up very well once the jobe was completed.

Sub-contractor - Hackman Masonry & Concrete Specialist Hachman showed up and completed the work when he said he would. He provided an job estimate, and at completion, that was the price I paid. I will recomment Hachman to my neighbors.

The contractor was very punctual, polite, and professional. My impression of the representative was, this is someone I can trust, which is a big deal to me, especially in today's world. He provided me with guidance and recommendations on my issues and actually listened intently to my concerns and addressed all of them.

Our insurance took care of it. The weather did get in the way for a bit but then they did complete the job.

The work was performed on a home that we had sold and the roofing work could not be completed before closing due to weather. The new homeowners were extremely cooperative and very understanding. Universal Roofing was able to perform the work on March 11 when the weather broke. We have a history of excellent service with this company and they have always been very responsive. On this particular job, the quality was not acceptable to the new homeowner or us. We were responsible for the work to be completed and payment. The new homeowner e-mailed a photo and we passed it along to Rob. His responsiveness to the problem was immediate. He took corrective action quickly and resolved the problem to the homeowner's delight and ours. The homeowner sent us a new photo and was very pleased with the results. We use Universal Roofing because they had a solid history with us of doing quality work and if there is a problem they correct it and stand by there work.

Roofing tiles delivered to our old address, so workers waiting around , laying all over the front yard, for tiles to be delivered. Then finished in the dark, didn't clean up well, a few slightly damaged bushes. I could have accepted some of that if not for the following: Asked specifically that an area around our chimney be done exactly as it was before removing the roofing tiles , due to previous leak, that we had spent a lot of money having repaired, inside and out. Had to call them back, the gutter in that area had to be re done, was not at all like it had been. Then less than six months, same leak in kitchen area wall, that we had repaired. Called the owner, he was rude to me, and first time I have ever ever had that happen with anyone. Finally got someone to come out, looked at it, wanted to give us hugs and will fix it etc. Never heard from them again, and have had the original repair people out, as wouldn't dream of having Universal repair it even if for free . And they didn't do things right inside or out. Just very upsetting experience all round.

They did a wonderful job. They were very professional and very polite. They cleaned up everything very well when they were complete. We were pleased with the job they did.

They are professional, dependable, and trust-worthy. Rob is happy to help in anyway he can and I would trust is company with all of my roofing issues.

What a dedicated and adaptable crew! These guys not only showed up as promised, they worked in a three-seasons room in the bitter cold last month (Jan). They arrived on time, cleaned up materials every day, and followed up with us several times throughout the process, including after the job was complete, to ensure our total satisfaction.

They provided an accurate estimate, performed the work timely and professionally, and left the property in a clean condition.

All employees were very professional, punctual and willing to resolve any problems that arose.Supervision was available on site at all times.

After several quotes from other contractors Universal was the only one that was able to, or even attempted to, obtain reimbursement from our insurance carrier. Saved us thousands of dollars. The work done was excellent.

Rob met with our insurance adjuster right away after hail damage occured on April 10th. Repairs began after insurance approved need repairs. We had to be out of town off and on during the summer so we asked them to hold off until August. Nothing needed to be immediately repaired. I feel like Rob went out his way to accomadate our out of town insurance adjuster. During the siding replacement, my husband found a ton of wood rot that was due to our builder not installing the proper flashing above our garage door. We panicked but Rob assured us it would be taken care of before siding was finished. He was true to his word. They again worked with our insurance adjuster and repairs were done that exceeded our expectations. We were more concerned about quality of the work versus the completion timeframes. During the exterior painting process the painter accidently removed all the gutters instead of just the west side of the house. Rob went ahead and replaced ALL of our gutters because of their error. That was above and beyond our expectations! This was the second time we used Universal and will continue to contract with them if we have further neeeds.

We had extensive hail damage on our roof from a spring hail storm. I contacted Universal roofing, to assess the damage, and provide an estimate. Mike came out and surveyed the roof. He said we had extensive hail damage, and offered to assist us with the filing process with our insurance company. When we called the insurance company the agent came out the next day, and Mike was there with the insurance rep to go over damage. The insurance company approved the roof repair. Mr. Rob Yearly the owner of Universal roofing, came out a few weeks later to explain the entire roofing process, the GAF roofing system and GAF warranty. Rob has an outstanding customer focus, and is very easy to work with. He left us with sample shingles to look at, and offered to put a few on the roof to compare. The roof was installed in September, over a period of 3 days. The Universal employees worked from sunrise to sunset to complete the roofing. They were careful about protecting our plants, and did not damage them. Their work was excellent in all aspects.

The process wen't slower than expected but weather was a factor. There were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed which they took care of in a very timely manner. Would like to mention that we had a problem getting State Farm to cover some of the repairs. Another company gave up and said that" it is what it is" and here's the price. However, Rob, the owner of Universal was relentless when it came to our insurance company. He didn't give up until they came up with another $1000.00. He new the laws in Indiana and what the insurance companies are responsible for. He and his crew are all professional and respectiful. The roof looks great and we love the sun tunnel, it brightens up the entire room. We are happy with all that they have done and would not hesitate to recommend them.

They were timely. They cleaned up really well. They were very flexible on their payment scheduling. They are just good people all around

On March 2, 2012, my home (and car) got hit by a hail storm. I originally had another roofing company come out to determine whether or not I had hail damage to the roof, before calling my insurance company to file a claim. The other company determined that I did have a claim on the roof (shingles), gutter screens, some aluminum siding, window screens, and the AC unit. The insurance adjuster showed up out of the blue without an appointment. Then, I ran into some issues with my insurance company because they (the insurance co.) said that I didn?t have damage to the roof. They were determined to not give me a re-inspection, even though the insurance adjuster didn?t even go out to look at the detached garage. Eventually after talking to two different supervisors and filing a complaint with the Indiana Department of Insurance, they gave me a re-inspection. Before having my re-inspection, I had Universal Roofing come out to give me a proposal on the claim,because I wanted to have a second opinion to determine whether the first roofing company was just saying there was damage in order to get the job, or whether the insurance company was lying about there not being any damage to not pay for the claim. The estimator for Universal Roofing was very thorough to count and mark hail damage marks on the roof, and measure out to determine that the damage fits the criteria for a claim. He determined that there was damage and that I have a strong claim. I wanted to have a roofer come out and meet up with the insurance adjuster on the re-inspection. Since the estimator for Universal Roofing was a better communicator and spoke like he knew what he was talking about, I made up my mind that I would go with Universal Roofing instead of the other roofing company. Both roofing company estimators were professional, both said that they could make sure I didn?t have to pay my deductible, but Universal Roofing won out since their estimator was a better communicator and I knew that he would be able to convince the insurance adjuster of the damage?and he succeeded at that. The first time the estimator came out, on April 5, 2012, he was on time, he explained everything thoroughly, while taking his time. He showed up early the second time he came out in order to meet up with my insurance adjuster. After this is when his punctuality dwindled. After getting the Universal Roofing proposal through email and getting the new check from my insurance, I spoke with him on the phone -- He said he wanted to come out and go over details with the proposal, pricing, shingle choice, etc. He said he might be able to on a certain day, but would give me a call to confirm. He just showed up on that day and caught me off guard instead of calling (what if I wasn?t home?) He didn?t even have the necessary paperwork, but he dropped of some shingle samples for me to look at. He also said he would be back in two days to drop some more samples off, but he never did. He said they were a few week out on scheduling, and that he would call to get me on the schedule. I waited a few days for him to call back. In the middle of that following week, I called the office to get his cell phone number. I called and left him a message that I wanted to move forward. He didn?t call back for a week. He said he was still working on the new proposal to match up with the insurance claim. This went on for three weeks, with him not answering his cell phone, not returning calls, and the few chance times I did talk to him he kept saying he wasn?t done with the new proposal and hopefully they'll get me on next week. Finally he came out with the new proposal. They were going to start the job on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 9:00 am(approximately 5.5 weeks after he came out to meet with the insurance adjuster-his second time out.) By the way, the estimator said this would be a two day job, and he made it seem like it would be back to back days. I took off of work Wednesday and Thursday for this two day job. Wednesday morning around 8am I got a voicemail to say they wouldn?t be coming out because last night on the other job they were doing, they determined they would need another day. They could have, and should have called me the night before to tell me and not wait until the morning. There is no excuse for that. Somebody knew that they wouldn?t be able to make it to my place that evening, so they should have called. So, I set my clock for 8:30am (since they were going to be out at 9am) for Thursday, and I get woke up by my dogs and a bang on the door at 8am. I set my alarm for the next day at 8am to be ready for them this time. 8, 9, 9:30am....I finally called the office to see what was going on. A few minutes later I get a bang on the door, and it?s the estimator only to deliver the siding. He said, ?oh, they?ll be out on Tuesday to do the siding?, I said ?well nobody told me?, and he said ?I know, we determined that this morning and I?m letting you know now?, I said ?then I woke up early for nothing? (and took off of work for nothing!). They finally came and finished up the siding and window screens portion of the job. One of the workers told me he'd put new screens on all of the windows (even though that wasn't part of the job) if I'd give him a can of soda. I naturally said ok, because who wouldn't want all brand new screens on their windows. They didn't even comb out the grill to the AC unit like they were supposed to. They put the gutter screens back on after a very poor job of straightening them out from the hail damage. That was part of the deal of not paying for my deductible, to go cheap on the gutter screens, even though it was covered in the insurance check. So, I get the bill and I'm shocked. I should have been scott free without any charges because the estimator rewrote the proposal so that the insurance check would cover it all and I wouldn't have to pay the deductible. It was a $1,000 out of pocket they were expecting me to pay. I had to go up to the office and argue about this because he lied to me. I made sure to take pictures of the workers poor work to take up to the office with me. I was told the only way out of not paying that entire amount out of pocket is to agree to void the warranty and only pay a small amount of $150 or around that for the price of the wood to replace the pieces on the roof. The poor work I'm referring to that I took pictures of is in the attic they didn't clean up all the mess of old shingles, nails and wood scraps. They drove a nail to hard through a piece of wood and it broke off and is still showing in the attic. They did a rush job on the window screens and to this day some of them still pop out. They did another rush job on the caulking around the windows aluminum wrap and it looks awful. They even missed a few spots of caulking because they didn't bother asking me to move the window AC unit. I luckily caught it in time before they left. They tried to charge for the other window screens, I made sure to point out the guy that asked for a can of soda to do all the window screen said he'd do them all. And that same guy gave me his contact info if I ever wanted him to do any side jobs (which they are not supposed to do because they are taking Universal Roofing business). Overall this was the worst experience. I still have damage and no warranty on my roof because I wasn't about to pay $1,000 out of pocket when I was told that there would be no out of pocket cost. I was lied to, scammed, and ripped off of the $150 or so that I paid out of pocket. I should have gone with the original roofing company and let them put a sign in my yard to cover the deductible costs.

They worked with our insurance company to replace our roof and gutters. Our old roofing material was no longer available and they help us update the shingles for a reasonable price. They talked to us about possible color and put 4 samples on our roof so we could compare it to the existing color. They put on the roof by hand not with pneumatic tools.

Excellent work and professionalism. They are great at working through any issues and address any concerns promptly. Would highly recommend them and would use them again in a heart beat

It was horrible, they did the roof, and then we didn't hear from them...I had to keep calling them to find out when they were going to do the gutters. They said there were going to come multiple times and when they finally said they were going to do they didn't show. Once they finally got everything done we had to pick up there mess, there were over a dozen roofing nails in the yard, pieces of gutter left and even there tools in my bushes.

It went well when they came out got everything done within one hour.

The first appointment was cancelled due to illness. We were rescheduled for another day for a quote. I left work 90 minutes early to make the hour long drive home to meet him and it was a no-call no-show. I called their office which had closed at the time of appointment, so I dialed through to the emergency contact who acted very annoyed insisting that someone was still at the front desk to take my call as normal. After leaving a message, I received no follow up call the next day. Waited almost 2 weeks for the appointment with a leak in my ceiling for this treatment.

They came out early in the morning and got the work done. The work was done properly. There were a couple clean up details missed but they also fixed a couple things that they were not hired to do.
