It was a positive experience. They came when they were supposed to and I have no negative comments.

I would use them again for anything they do - very good experience.

Regarding the roof they did a very good job. However they were not as careful as they were the first time. They did not protect my gutters as well as they should have and during the tear off some shingles slid into the gutters making small slit holes in a number of places. I did not notice this for years so I did not go back to them. I also had some tar material on my siding by the low slope roof part and there was some clean-up of shingles and other material that was missed. I called, told them I was disappointed and they came back out to take care of the clean-up. The roofing was well done and I have not had any problems with the roof. If I needed another roof I would consider them because the roofing work has been very good. I would however specifically request the gutters be protected and I would be more diligent about checking things both during and after the job was done.

Universal provided the estimate for exterior painting and trim replacement. The job was then performed on time and as per the agreement.

We have a very flat roof and he did recommend some things for us and we went with his suggestions. We are probably going to have to have our roof replaced in the next couple of years. He has tried to fix this on more than one occassion, but it just has not held up.

It went fine. I was happy with everything and it all seemed to go very well.

We met with Rob, who did our estimate. We were delighted to have 3 friends recommend him and his company. My husband is very particular and typically is not absolutely pleased with contractors of any sort. Universal Roofing was certainly the exception. Rob made a written estimate after a very thorough examination. Sharon in his office worked with us to have all the paperwork and estimates completed and handled with insurance, etc.His crew arrived as promised, worked diligently, professionally and neatly throughout the day and completed the roof early. We did not have a single foul word, butt crack, thrown down bottle or piece of trash. There was not one single nail found anywhere on our property and the roof is GORGEOUS. The workmen were so kind, and obviously proud of their job as they took photos. Each man shook my husband's hand as he thanked them for meeting and exceeding ALL our expectations. In the two months since the install so many people have complimented our roof and remarked as to the quality job and fully completed tasks. Others in our area were less than pleased with their storm damage repairs. We would recommend this company without hesitation absolutely.

Being on-time is one thing, but the real customer service came afterwords. After surveying my house for hail damage and not finding anything, Rob was kind enough to point out a few things that needed touched up around the exterior. I had melted a few pieces of siding with my grill and Rob was kind enough to send his team out and fix the issue free of charge! I can't explain to you how blown away I was with this offer. Time after time my wife begged me to fix the issue and I had been putting it off for months. Thank you so much Universal! I have never met a more personable, genuine, and honest contractor in my life. Once I have a need for any exterior work on my home, Universal will be the one and only company I will contact. Unbelievable!!!

Repaired roof around vents and replaced some roofing tiles. Very professional did a good job, and I would call on them again.

I called the company for an estimate on installing two through the roof vents for my bathroom exhaust fans and one through the roof vent for a large range hood. The owner visited in a few days to look over the job and I showed him where the fans were, where the hood would be installed, and asked if they would inspect the roof and existing vents. I received an estimate for $540.00, which I approved and told them to start the work. The estimate also had a line item "seal remaining vents and chimney". A few days later, two men came to the house to do the work. they installed the bathroom vents, but I was told the range hood would take a special large vent that would have to be ordered, and that would add extra cost to the job. I told them to continue and I would pay the rest. In the meantime, I received an invoice for the job and told them I wasn't going to pay until the job was completed. When the new vent came, they came and installed it as they said they would. After the work was finished (or so I thought), I asked for an invoice updated with the additional charge for the large range hood vent. The invoice I received was for the original $540.00, and I paid it. Several months later I was doing some work in my attic and noticed a breeze while I was up there. I looked to the source of the breeze and found that the flex hose from the through the roof vents had been attached to the fan housings with rubber flashing instead of adaptors. I had also been on the roof to remove some sticks that had collected up there and didn't notice that anything had been done to the remaining vents and chimney. I called Universal and told them about the issues, and they sent someone out to take care of them. I reminded the guys that came about the vent and chimney sealing. I was at work that day, but my wife was home. She said they finished their business and went on their way without mentioning anything. I inspected the work when I got home. They flex hoses seemed to be properly attached this time, but I still didn't see anything else done to the other vents and chimney. By this time, I decided to just let it go, and if I need other work in the future, I'll just call someone else. Tony Furdock Update on November 13, 2014 (after the provider response): I think it should be noted that the provider didn't know about the failure to seal the air vents when I received the final invoice, so they would not have been able to decide to not charge me the extra special order charge. Even if they had known, they should have informed me that they had no intention of returning to seal the vents so that I could hire someone else to do it. I have no idea if "everything seems to be performing well" since I haven't had time to inspect the work (which I don't think I should have to do).

They were very professional and did everything they said they would do. They cleaned up well after themselves. Everything looks really good and I get a lot of compliments on the roof.

Everything went fine. I have no complaints. The job took a little longer than expected due to the weather.

They seemed knowledgable and professional, but we never heard back from them after the initial visit. If the job was too large for them, they should have told us that they couldn't do the job. Other providers told us that they could not do the job we needed.

We were very satisfied with the work that was done. There was small damage done around the landscaping and deck area.....which probably could have been avoided. But that being said, the work was handled on time, cleaned up after themselves, responded well to our questions and concerns....we were very satisfied!

They did a thorough job and the price was reasonable for the size of the house. They cleaned up after the work. I was happy with their work. I would use them and recommend them. I got probably 5 estimates and they had the best price. They offered to do more. Everything looks great. They showed up when they were supposed to. They had a large crew. They stripped off in one day and installed the roof the next day. I chose them because they had good ratings on Angie's List.

Justin arrived early on a Friday for the scheduled appointment and said he would email a proposal/estimate for roof repair. After inquiring the following Tuesday (Monday was a holiday), I received the proposal. Justin proposed merely replacing 6-8 shingles (which I would provide) at a cost of $350 and offered no warranty on the work. Having already received proposals and estimates from two other roofers, I felt the work proposed by Justin was inadequate and the price quite high. Both the other reputable (Angie's List) roofers said a layer of ice and water shield was necessary, coupled with replacement of a few ROWS of shingles. Although one of the other roofing companies bid on simply replacing a few shingles (which it also noted may not fix the leak), the price fell under their "minimum charge" of $250. This clearly indicates to me that the $350 proposed by Universal is excessive. Needless to say, I've opted for another roofing company.

They were really good. I was so happy. I actually got their name through Angie's List. They had good reviews. Rob Yeary was really responsive. We had an issue and they figured it out. It involved some brick which was kind of a nightmare, but that wasn't their fault. I recommended them to several other people.

Great job. Very punctual and completed the job very quickly. Everyone was very professional with little disruption to my work since I work out of my home.

Had a couple of scheduling issues related to the weather that one might expect, we all dealt with it. Skylight looks beautiful and install went without a hitch. Price was a little higher than other comps but not the most expensive either.

Rob anticipated bad weather so came out prior to our scheduled appt so he could check out my roof. We met the next day and a written estimate was provided shortly thereafter. His team even brought by shingle color samples for me to consider. I enjoyed meeting with Rob and his information and estimate were very thorough. I went with another contractor with a slightly lower price and on whom I had several references from friends but would definitely consider Rob & Universal again in the future.

Rob Yeary and his staff are impressive and professional. Their communication skills are excellent. Rob and Sharon Rothenberger understand real estate transactions and the importance of timing. They were prompt to responding to our concerns with respect to an inspection response and getting the work done. My husband and I do not live in the home but are investors. We checked the work along the way and the crew was proficient. There was no debris left on the premises. We couldn't be more pleased with Universal Roofing and would highly recommend them. They are honest. While the proposal covered potential areas of concerns and related costs, we did not require the additional work and were not billed for it. Both Rob and Sharon are also very polite and make it a pleasure for doing business. We have used them in the past for repairs and this was our first total roof placement. They have earned our respect!

I have done business with Universal Roofing in the past. They did a beautiful job on a tear-off on the home that I own. I have been taking care of my mother-in-law and noticed some water leaking into the house. My husband and I were really worried that we were going to have to pay for another tear-off at my mother-in-law's house. We were so relieved when Rob Yeary told us that he could do the job for a couple of hundred dollars. When I saw the invoice, we were only charged for materials, NOT for labor. Her roof has been leak-free and we are thrilled. Universal Roofing is the best company--so glad that I found them on Angie's list. They really take care of their customers.

Everything went extremely well. Two visits were required to accomplish the task. Each time this crew exceeded my expectations. I cannot think of a higher approval rating than that.
