Universal roofing did a fantastic job with the roof. They were extremely quick once the project got started and were able to complete the work in under a day. The new section of roof looks great and I'm very happy.

This is the friendliest bunch of folks one could imagine. Owner friendly, foreman friendly, every member of the crew energetic, industrious, and friendly. They all, from boss to gopher, seem to like each other, care about each other, like doing the work (which is a lot, tearing off an old roof, laying down down the base and hammering the shingles down by hand ! (for better control, not going too deep was the explanation). They cleaned up the place above and beyond what was messed up and I had very little picking up to do after they were gone. They did the roofing from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm - a double crew was put on because of impending rain the second day, which never materialized. A couple of other little jobs were also taken care of and while I was working in their space, they gave me a hand with little things like when I dropped something from my ladder, a crew member came and picked it up for me! The roof looks lovely, although it was described as being much darker than it turned out to be, it is fine, will keep the rain and the critters out and I have found the replacement for the best roofer ever. (Frank Yeary, whose nephew Rob happens to be the owner of Universal Roofing, did the second roof on the house in 1986 and I had been looking for his successor in the intervening years!) Today Mike the foreman came back to have a look at the work with me and it was a "love fest". Everything is nice and tidy. I have a longish guarantee on the work and materials and if I am lucky, it will last as long as the first roof that went on the house back in the mid-60s. But if anything should happen with this roof Universal is the first place I will call.

Re-roofed house, garage, and barn. The roofing was done very good. The cleanup was fair as well. They were supposed to replace 2 window well covers. Have tried to contact, but have not received a response yet.

It went very well. Said we did not have a leak.

Scott Sanders did an outstanding job from initial contact, answering questions, offering suggestions, helping with a exact color match, following up on the finished product and staying on top of the entire project.

It was a minor thing and I appreciated that rather than trying to sell me a new skylight or whatever. They didn't charge me to give an estimate. They came and checked things out. Actually he didn't walk the roof and said that they didn't notice any other issues as well. My main issue was we've had a storm and there was a leak in my skylight so they told me what I needed to do. When I called them, they were very quick to come out. They showed up when they said they would. I wouldn't hesitate to use them. They are a reputable company and I think they have good reviews so that would be a company that when it comes for me to actually replace my roof, they would definitely one of the companies that I would call to get an estimate, if not go ahead and use them. I usually get a few estimates just to make sure that things are in line.

after working with them for 2 months after a lighting strike we finally had to head in a different direction. They kept setting up start dates and then just not showing up no phone calls or explanation just kept not showing up. Very disappointing.

very bad job for $ 18,000.00 broke more things then they fixed drop vcr,broke 7 windows 3 of them I saw when they was here have had 2 that was broke out that has been open since jan.2015 that they hit didn't find them till I moved back home this may 2016 so let cold air in and hot air in,they didn't say anything about breaking things,broke glass on table,pull wires out of old stereo speaker,broke legs off of my grandma old coffee tables that was over 50 years old and the only thing I had of hers, TV ,toss out are curtains in trash,didn't cover carpet clean it 4 times still dirty,put plywood over water bed must have had nails in it bed started leaking so have to get rid of it.painting look like shit all the dirt showing thru since they didn't clean anything off before painting,got drywall mud running down walls.so much more things they did,i wouldn't use them again, plus take us to small claims court for what we didn't pay them all their money but what about the mess they did to our home

They went over and above answering my complaints and even found a gas leak. The price was reasonable.

They sent Brandon out to complete a quote. I spoke to him briefly and described what I wanted. I was at home with my three children and we were setting up the dinner table to eat. After a few minutes, I wanted to check to see how it was going but Brandon was gone. I thought it was odd that he didn't bother to get on the roof to check to what was needed to possibly repair my roof. After a week and a half, I finally received an email. It stated the following:Tear out dead-end valley Install Ice & Water shield Install diverter on gutter Install step flashing Install new shingles, color to match as closely as possible Clean up and removal of all debris One year one time transferable workmanship warranty Note: any defective sheeting will be torn off and replaced at $40.00 per sheet of 4x8 OSB or $3.85 per foot of 1x6 wood board or $4.00 per foot of primed trim board or $5.50 per foot of soffit board Note: a $50.00 Angie’s List discount has been applied to this price WE PROPOSE hereby to furnish material and labor- complete in accordance with the above specifications, for the sum of: $2,250.00 They wanted over 2000 dollars for a job they didn't bother to inspect and no one else quoted more than $650.00 to repair. I wrote an email back to the company expressing my concerns. Of course they didn't bother to reply. I can't speak to their workmanship, but I would be extremely careful if you decide to only get a quote from his company.

They wanted to charge me enough that I could have replaced my entire roof. It has been about a year since the estimate and I am still in shock over the price.

They were on time and were respectful of my property. Easy to communicate with and just a great company to work with.

A tree branch fell on my cable and phone wires causing the siding to pull away from my home leaving an opening for pest to get into my house. I called for an estimate and they sent someone out right away. The estimate was reasonable so I asked them to do the work. They were booked up so they offered to make a temporary repair by nailing the siding back to the house to keep pest from getting in. They scheduled the work, then came out with the materials and did the work. I didn't like the way it looked because there were gaps and it looked like small pest could still get in. The temporary repair looked better than the actual repair. I called and asked them to come out and take a look at because it didn't look right to me. I never heard back from them.

The Universal Roofing team was fantastic, they were very professional and went above and beyond on everything they did. Their crew was very polite and hard working completing my job in two days when I was expecting it to take much longer. From the very first contact they far exceeded my expectations, I am so pleased with my new roof - not only how it looks but also the clean up was perfect (actually left property in better condition than when they arrived). Compared to what other companies were offering me I feel that I received superior quality and services at a lower price. I own several rental properties and would not hesitate to use Universal Roofing again on any of my properties.

The roof part of it was okay but the gutter part of it didn't come out so well. The new gutter covers have a tendency to catch more debris than our previous covers. But even worse the gutters began to come off of the house; we contacted them while it was still repairable and I couldn't even get them to come back out. They didn't seem to have good communication and then it finally came off entirely and once they finally came out they said it needed replaced and gave us a price. I felt that it was their issues with it falling off and then they tried to charge us for the replacement.

Very Professional. They made sure I was happy with their work before they left.

they installed a new downspout where one should have been, and fed it into a first level gutter.

Several neighbors had roof replacement due to a hail storm 5/21/14. Pretty much at the last minute (5/7) I decided I should have mine checked, and also found out I'd not just have to file a claim by 5/21, but also have the work completed by that date. Universal had done a few of the neighbors' roofs (started by one insurance company recommending them). They had all been pleased and I had been happy with what I had observed during those jobs. So I chose them to check mine out. I called on a Thursday and Rob came out the next Monday morning to take a first look and take down info. Then on Tuesday Brandon fit in an appointment to meet with my insurance adjuster (who had also made it a priority). It turned out that I did NOT have enough hail damage to need it replaced. But everyone, starting with the first phone call, adjusted their schedules to check that out and to be prepared to get the job done by 5/21 if needed. When I do need the roof replaced I plan to use Universal.

I can't say enough good about this company. Always professional, prompt , and great. This time we had a leak. They right over and found back gutter had debris causing water to back. Came the next day and cleaned gutter all across the back of our house. These people are great.

They did what they said they were going to do. And we've had no problems.

This company is by far the best company that has ever worked on our home. Rob was very easy to work with and offered up different options to take care of some serious roof issues. The work that had to be done could not wait, it had to be done as soon as possible. He was truly concerned about being within my budget and making sure I understood the whats and whys of what they would be doing. He worked around my schedule and when they came to the house to do the work, Mike the foreman, did a fantastic job of getting the job done. Now, one thing I was nervous about was my wife and daughter being there during the work. Mike was very courteous and respectful at all times with them. When a crew member had to use the restroom, Mike came in with them and stayed there until they were finished and went out with them. Mike and Rob does not know this, but I really appreciated that. To me that spoke volumes of their standards and their respect for their customers. I highly recommend that for any roofing,Insulation, Gutters or other work, give this company a call. From Sharon to Rob to Mike and the crew, they all know how to treat a customer.

I had some storm damage/hail. Materials were delivered ahead of time. They did the work and completed it within one day. They seemed to do a good job. Everyone tells me it looks nice. I don't know roofing and can't climb to get a good look at it, but I haven't had any issues with it.

Rob and the staff at Universal were all excellent. They provided quality service at a reasonable cost. They were professional and helpful if I had any questions and special requests. Highly recommend Universal Roofing!
