Tish Flooring

I purchased carpet for two bedrooms from Tish Flooring and they also installed the carpet. The installation process was wonderful, they did a super job. I was not real pleased with the salesman, I do not feel he understood what I wanted and did not help me as a salesman should have. The pricing was good for the carpet and services. They were also quick to get the carpet installed. I am not certain at this point if I would use this company again. If I could separate the sales and installation, I would definitely use the installation crew again.

Our in home consultation with Wes was great! He was very informative, professional, non-salesy and we were very comfortable working with him. He was patient with our indecision on color selection and even allowed us to stop by the showroom to borrow a sample book before placing the order. We needed to have the carpet installed by Friday 2/24 so we could move in Saturday and they got it done - Jim was very convenient with scheduling. The carpet didn't make the delivery truck on the day they thought it would so they had to split the install to padding one day and carpet the next which was kind of inconvenient but we were able to make it work and we're very grateful they squeezed us in within short notice. Dallas and his crew installed the carpet and they were very professional and efficient. My grandpa observed their work and was so impressed which is saying something! He will tear out new carpet and redo it if it's not completed to his satisfaction. Overall, from start to finish, a wonderful experience and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend them to family and friends.

They said they would have it done in 3 days, but it took them 6 days. They were going to have 2 crews out, 1 for the hardwood and 1 for the carpet, but they didn't want them to get in each others way so they sent them out separately.

In preparation for the sale of a 1950s family home, we needed to replace the carpets in two rooms, install tile in the Master Bath, and install a section of a vinyl to repair a corner of the kitchen. We asked for referrals and were immediately directed to Tish Flooring by one of Indiana's top realtors. Apparently, Tish Flooring is on this realtor's "A" list based on the excellent service that Tish Flooring has provided her clients over the years. Our experience was as positive as that of her other clients. Fred Tishler, the owner of Tish Flooring, personally called and came out to our house to take measurements on the same day I called to make an appointment. The follow-up visits were with Wes, another congenial, knowledgeable, and professional Tish Flooring employee. Wes gave us the guidance we needed in terms of quality, color, and price so that we were able to use our quickly shrinking funds to most effectively recarpet the areas in greatest need of replacement. The day of installation arrived and the Tish Flooring crew that came in finished the work in record time. They were a great crew--polite and pleasant to have in our home and very hard workers. We had the same great experience with Tish Flooring for the bathroom tile and vinyl replacement in our kitchen. In fact, the bathroom floor had so much damage from leaky plumbing that the sub-floor had to be pulled out. We felt so grateful that the employee pointed out the potential damage to our home if we did not attend to the leak or sub-floor as well as his friendly willingness to return on a Saturday to finish the work. Finally, Tish Flooring's communication before, during, and after installation was excellent. In summary, I cannot imagine a company with better Customer Service or better prices for the level of attention to service and product. With their great company line-up and incredible Customer Service -- whether it is the receptionist, the head of customer service, the installation crew, or the head of the company -- they have all they need to convince us that we will never go anywhere else for our flooring needs.

The installers were professional, efficient and I would definitely rcommend Tish again.

Great experience! I called. They were there for an estimate within several hours. We made the choice for carpeting and the carpet was installed 4 days later. Highly recommended. We will surely be using them for any flooring work in the future.

They did a real good job. They were very helpful. They came out rather quickly and were able to get the floor done quickly. I had to order the stuff and it came out really nice. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

We got Fred's number from our realtor since we were selling our house our realtor suggested that we replace our carpet which we did. We called Realtor Carpet now Tish Carpet they were prompt and did the job in the 2 days that they promised. They moved all of our furniture and put it all back. I was really impressed with there speed and quality since our home has 2900 sf I didn' t think that there was anyway they could get it all done but they did. I am now in the process of buying another home that will need new carpet and I will be calling Fred and Tish carpet to do the job.

David Hirschman came and gave us several options for our basement floor that had previously had carpeting. He thoroughly explained each option-pros and cons-differences in prices. He was very knowledgable which helped us reach a good decision. The crew arrived about eight days later-they were polite-clean and did a great job. We had had Tish lay carpeting earlier but were very pleased with how they installed this type of flooring. I highly recommend Tish andDavid Hirschman.

They took a long time to answer phone calls. The arrival time was not as promised. They were more keen on completing the job as fast as possible. But, they did a good job installing and taking away the old carpet. So far the carpet looks nice except for a few threads of carpet showing out here and there.

The initial contact to inquire about the service was very polite and responsive and easy to schedule a time for their salesperson to come to our house. The salesman was very helpful and clear and followed up promptly. The scheduler was excellent by explaining the process of installation. The installing crew were punctual, courteous, and hard working. The carpet looks and feels great. The only negative remarks are that after the first (of 3 days) of installation, we found one room that had not been vacuumed as is the agreement and in that room we also found two used razor blades. At the end of the second day of installation, we found a significant amount of debris that had fallen off the stairs behind a piano that they should have known to clean up but did not. There have been a surprisingly large number of carpet staples our feet are finding making me wonder if their sweeper needs to be replaced or upgraded.

The floor looks great and has a nice feel under foot. The installer, Sean, was very professional, meticulous and thorough. We could not have been happier with the outcome considering the difficulty of the job.

I met with Dave, our sales rep, and selected a carpet type and color to go into a condo we were rehabbing for my parents. Had a short (2 week) window with specific install dates. I knew prior to ordering and immediately that the carpet was available (Dave called the manufacturer and confirmed they had the style and color in stock at the mill), and Dave had it held for me. I called the next day to confirm order and request install date. 2 days before the install date I had requested they phoned and confirmed the scope of work, the balance owing, and when to expect the installers. The installers arrived in a timely manner and installed the tack strip, pad and carpet into an 1850 sq ft condo in 1 1/2 days. They finished before my parents were scheduled to arrive to move into the unit. Mike and Barry, the installers, were super! Mike needed to hand cut most of the carpet due to a peeling paint issue on the baseboards, which he did without complaint and very well! I really cannot say enough good about Mike and his ability and professionalism. To add to his "atta boys", a few days after the carpet installation, he telephoned me and my husband to inform us that he had accidentally picked up one of our hammers on the job site and would return it to us right away. From Mel setting the appointment, Dave meeting with me at the unit and Mike and Barry installing the carpet (not to mention the wonderful folks I spoke with on the phone) this is a first class operation!

They are prompt and affordable compared to other estimates that I've received. They always do a good job.

We were satisfied with the finished job after they responded to some problems.

It went great. They had lots of product choices, and Jack made choosing the right one a great experience. On installation day, Tony, Mike, and Glen topped things off with a great installation. Some really nice guys doing great work was such a bonus!

We believe this has been one of the most positive purcahsing experiences we've had. We're in our later 50s and have had plenty of carpet installed by well-known dealers. We decided on Realty WHolesalers (Tish Flooring) based on the strength of the reviews and priciing reported in Angies list. Short of engaging with salespeople, it was difficult to determine a bottom line price elsewhere because of various marketing practices and unclear pricing. We did however go to a couple of big box stores to shop for the carpet we liked, and communicated our preferences to Tish FLooring. In less than a week David came out with a selection of samples narrowed to our tastes for color, texture and quality. We selected the carpet, David measured and gave us the total price. The carpet was installed be a 5-person crew. They were efficient, courteous and professional. Carpet seams are unnoticeable. We just cannot say enough good things about this company. We think it would be helpful if prospective customs shop around first and let the company know what it is you're looking for.

Everything went well. The salesman, Wes Haining was nice, friendly and incredibly patient. He even showed us around the store. The installer were great too. The work was done quickly. I would recommend follow up with customers is that they do not follow up after the installation.

No resolution was reached over the last few months. I'm a little gun-shy to try them again. My first couple of experiences were good, but what happens if I use them again and an even larger mistake is made. I know they don't stand behind their work, and I'm not sure I want to take that chance.

The company completed the work as agreed.

From start to finish, everyone at Realty Wholesale Carpeting were punctual, from getting back to us after the initial call, to showing samples, to installation of carpet. We did have one issue, involving the seams on the carpet. For the price quoted ($840.) we should have been told about the number of seams to give us that price, where they would be in the floor plan, etc. and advised that if we wanted fewer seams, the price would be different. We had initially expected that there would be one seam, but there ended up being several, and although to an untrained pair of eyes, it would probably have not been too discernible, it was to us, especially since the seams were near the front entryway, in the living room. At the point, I realized this issue when the installation was taking place, I called Kent at the home office and explained the problem; he was pleasant about the situation and said he would fix it. He then ordered a new carpet piece from the same dye lot and in less than a week, we had the carpet redone with only one seam. The calls were courteous, and the installers amicable, arriving on time, and cleaning up their messes. We were not charged for the new piece of carpet to change this seam issue. We could not have asked for better service and a good job completed in a timely manner. In the future, we would suggest that the person who makes the initial home call, explain the options, with the number of seams for each given price and let the buyer decide.

I was given this company to use as a recommendation from my Realtor. We set up a time for someone to come out to give us a quote on flooring. The owner/manager, Fred Tishler came out to help, he was a pleasure to work with. We decided on the flooring and a date/time for installation. No problems there, the installers came on time. However, when the job was done, we found a host of little problems. For starters, they needed to take off the toilet to install the flooring (totally fine), but put it back crooked. I think they put the lid of the tank on flush with the wall so we would not notice right away. They failed to tightened a screw in the toilet and it leaked a little. The caulking was hideous. I had to go back over some of it with a wet rag to get it off of places it never should have been. At one point, they decided it was okay to use my hand towel to clean up their mess-I had already given them two rag towels to set each toilet on, surely I would have given them an additional clean-up towel! Finally, they left behind glue residue on my counter tops which I had to clean up later. Looking back on their previous reviews, mine does not compare. Perhaps I got inexperienced, lazy contractors? I'm glad the floors are in, we are mostly happy with them. I think if we were to use them again, I would screen the contractors more carefully. Update after repairs were made: Mr. Tishler and his staff were extremely helpful in resolving fixing the problems of the initial poor installation. When we called to explain the problems, Mr. Tishler apologized for the problems and sent the installation manager out a day or two later to review the work. Two or three days after that, the second crew came out to fix the floors. Since most of the problems were minor, except for a couple curling seams, we expected minor repairs to remedy the situation. Instead, the second crew removed the vinyl initially installed, scraped up all the adhesive, and laid all new vinyl in all three rooms. The second installation was a huge improvement. The pattern was properly aligned to the walls, caulk was used sparingly and is hardly noticable, the seams are sealed correctly, the toilets were installed squarly. We are extremely satisfied with the final results. I updated the the professionalism score from a C to an A. And left the overall score as a B...only because we had to have the work done twice. Because the problems were fixed quickly and very professionally, we would definitely work with Mr. Tishler and Realty Wholesale Carpeting again.

The carpeting was in in a few days and they came right away to install it. They moved furniture before installing.I called because I had some concerns over several areas and they were back out right away. The problems did not turn out because of faulty installation. Any thing I would change is to shop the market and know exactly the brand and thickness I was installing. I HAD A MUCH THICKER CARPETING DOWN AND WOULD HAVE REPLACED WITH A THICKER CARPETING EVEN THOUGH i AM PLEASED WITH THE CARPETING INSTALLED. yOU NEED TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK

A salesman came to the house with samples. He was professional and prompt. We had ceramic tile and carpet installed on different days. From the installers to the scheduler, it was a great experinece. The price, quality, service and professionalism were all top notch.
