My wife and I recently sold our home and purchased a new one through Paula Smith. From start to finish Paula was nothing short of amazing. She continually went above and beyond to ensure we sold our house and purchased a new home. Throughout the process she was always accessible and willing to answer any / all questions - even our repetitive questions about property taxes. She is extremely knowledgeable in the world of real estate and made us feel very comfortable making our new home purchase. On the selling side, Paula was immensely helpful providing us with information to formulate a fair list price. She put together a wonderful listing with high quality photos and posted it on several different online venues. Paula was fantastic at relaying any buyer feedback as soon as possible. When it came time that we received offers she was extremely thorough explaining everything and providing guidance on how to respond. Just prior to closing there were some unexpected delays / complications on the buyer's end which Paula quickly rectified. On the buying side, it was very evident Paula truly wanted us to find the right home. She was very helpful and insightful looking at prospective houses. She was very patient as we looked at multiple houses, some of which more than once, until we found just the right one. Paula always came prepared with listing information and seller disclosures when we went to look at houses. Paula represented us extremely well when it came time to write an offer and negotiate with the seller. She was very receptive to our wishes and did everything possible to ensure we walked away with a deal we were comfortable with. We found the house on line, however we had been already working with Paula on preparation for selling our house. She was on the job straight away and made everything as easy as possible with both my husband and I working and travelling a lot. We were able to get this condominium for a great price and very quickly. It was a real achievement as there were a lot of other people interested in the same place. She was very thorough and made sure that all the details were covered and that we got a fair deal and that there were no unexpected surprises. We would definitely recommend her to others, she really knows the realty business and is grewt to work with!

We are out of state and selling our home so we phone interviewed several real estate agents and Paula stood out from the crowd. Paula is an outstanding real estate agent. She was very prompt in getting started with us and then setting up showings whenever we saw a home we liked. She was willing to go out of her way to keep in touch even when out of the city which led to us eventually purchasing our home. Her professionalism, support, encouragement, follow up and guiding us through the process was excellent. She is on top of all of the paperwork and kept us informed of the details right up through the closing. She even has a follow up in place for upcoming things that happen after purchase. We highly recommend her and would use her again if needed.

Paula is the most conscientious and hard-working realtor I have ever known. The most challenging part was that we experienced some significant water leakage in the garage during the time the house was on the market and Paula was incredibly helpful with the contractors we used, giving of her own time on many occasions to either contact the contractors or go by the house to make sure that things were moving along. She gave great advice throughout the process and we were very pleased with the outcome. We would use her again and recommend her unhesitatingly.

She went above and beyond any expectation that I could have possibly had. She really takes the pressure off of the buyers/sellers and does a wonderful job mediating the process. While the process of buying and selling a home at the same time can be extremely cumbersome, she made sure to make the process as easy on us as she could. Paula has a ton of outstanding reviews on Angie?s List -- and she well deserves them. She is smart, remarkably knowledgeable concerning the local real estate market, and extremely diligent. We moved from Carmel, IN to Seattle, WA. For a number of reasons, we decided that we would buy a home in Seattle and delay selling our Carmel home until we had completed the cross-country move. It was the right approach for us but, once we got to Seattle, we had to confront the fact that our previously most valuable possession was sitting vacant in Carmel. Not to worry -- we had Paula! She was great from beginning to end. In the beginning she provided us valuable advice concerning decorative matters that she felt should be addressed prior to the sale. We followed her advice and, when we finished, had no doubt but that the advice was sound. Her advice about real estate matters in general, and home pricing in particular, also proved extremely helpful. After we moved to Seattle, Paula handled everything. Before the house was officially listed, Paula made several trips there to be sure that everything was in order and that both the home and the grounds were being well maintained. With respect to potential pricing of the house, Paula had clearly done significant research with respect to comparable homes and provided us what we considered a very well thought-out suggestion for pricing. Once the house was sold, and it was sold shortly after it was listed, Paula again was extraordinarily helpful and handled pretty much everything for us. For example, our home inspection revealed some minor matters that required servicing and/or repair. We identified the contractors we wanted to take care of them and Paula handled all of the arrangements necessary for the contractors to actually complete the work. One of the contractors I chose did some fairly sloppy work. He was subsequently surprised to receive a phone call from Paula letting him know the work was unsatisfactory. Due in no small part to Paula?s intensity, the contractor returned my payment for the work! In summary, Paula was terrific. Selling a house is probably never easy, and we had lived in our Carmel home for almost a quarter of a century. But Paula made it as nearly painless as possible. We can?t recommend her highly enough.

Paula had her hands full with all of our requests. We lived 150 miles away and Paula was always helpful and made time for us when we were in town. She was always very professional and courteous. Paula always kept me extremely well informed through emails, phone calls or text messages.

I listed my house in November, 2011, purchased another and closed on both houses April 24, 2011. Paula was amazingly helpful throughout the five month period. She provided via email detailed information of houses that came on the market and had the variables I was looking for. She is quite accommodating in showing houses. Her knowledge of the Hamilton County area is excellent. She quickly answers phone messages or emails. Even though she is quite busy I could usually get her on the telephone with one call. She is good at troubleshooting problems and clearly saw me as an important client. I have only one criticism. She recommended Indy Inspection Services and Handyman By the Hour. Handyman gave a low ball estimate for siding repair then after doing the job presented a bill for more than double the estimate. Indy Inspection Services missed significant problems the house had and I am stuck with paying thousands of dollars for window replacement and HVAC system replacement. Regardless: I would without question recommend Paula Smith to anyone who is buying or selling a house.

Paula is an outstanding realtor and if I ever need another realtor again it would be a no-brainer to choose her. She is highly knowledgeable of the Indy-area real estate market and is an expert when it comes to handling every little detail of a real estate transaction. Paula was very patient with us and never tried to pressure us to buy a house. She was excellent at pointing out the pros and cons of any home we considered buying. When we did find the home we wanted, she submitted our offer quickly yet did not miss a single detail. She guided us through the inspection process and did a great job of negotiating with the seller's agent to get things fixed. She also did a great job selling our home and negotiating a great price for it when an offer came in. She went above and beyond to make sure the deal went through. We were very happy to have her on our side.

Paula was absolutely stellar. My entire family was relocating from NW and NE IN to Fishers, which includes three homes, three families, and four boys ages 3-11. My mom found Paula on Angie's list and referred her to the rest of us, and we were all very thankful! Paula worked with our crazy schedules, the fact that we were coming in from out of town, and that we wanted to live as close to each other as possible, although we each had different wants and needs in a house and location. I am extremely detail oriented and ask a ton of questions and want to look at every single nook and cranny of every house. Paula was always patient and answered all of my questions. We often had all four children with us for hours of home views, and Paula had a way with the kids that made the whole day better for all of us. She never made it seem that the kids were a burden and took their needs into consideration (snacks, restroom breaks, etc) when planning out our days of viewing. At the end of our home buying, my son asked if Paula could be his mommy too. Paula was very knowledgeable about all of the aspects of purchasing a home, which was needed as I was a first time home buyer. Paula is the single most responsive person I have ever worked with in any facet. She always either answers your call or returns your call or sends a text or email right away. This made the home buying experience extremely pleasant as I never felt I had a question that wasn't answered. When we encountered some issues during the closing process Paula accomplished nothing short of a miracle to get me the house I wanted. Everyone else had given up on the transaction (including me) and Paula called me asked me if I still wanted the house, when I replied yes, Paula then did everything she could for days and managed to bring the closing back to life and we ended up closing and all went well. If it wasn't for Paula not giving up when things became difficult I would not be living in my amazing house right now. Paula also maintained the same level of responsiveness after we closed when a few questions came up about my warranty. Paula exceeded all of my expectations throughout the home buying process, she is simply amazing.
