The Mad Hatter Chimney Service

This company was very nice to work with from making the appointment to the final bill. I had recently purchased a home that sat emply for over a year; it was likely the vents had never been cleaned and from a visual inspection I could see damage to the chimney. I called The Mad Hatter and was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Roger & Jon were right on time and set to work immediately; it was obvious they knew what they were doing. They were very professional and worked around all of the "stuff" in the house. Both worked hard but their work paid off as the vents were clean and I was able to use my dryer. The chimney inspection went well and they let me know what needed to be addressed before winter. I was given an estimate at that time. I recommend there services to anyone; from start to finish the appointment, costs and work that was done was exactly what they said it would be. Roger & Jon were personable, punctual, and very personable. I will use them in the future.

I called them and let them know I needed work done tomorrow. They were able to come right out the next day, and everything turned out great.

It was very fast. 15 minutes. I felt like it was not enough time to properly clean. They did not get on the roof like I have seen other chimney sweeps do.

Punctual, courteous, and cleaned up before leaving. There price is a little higher than others, but they do extremely good work and are reliable so I don't mind paying a little extra.

We hired Mad Hatter to clean/ sweep the chimney in our home. The gentleman arrived on time, was very professional and was very careful to make sure everything was clean and organized before he left. The only frustrating factor was that in our service report, a $500 repair was recommended to our chimney cap. A difficult assessment to make given the fact that we had no previous issues with it and our service provider never went on to our roof. After repeatedly reaching out for clarification we were eventually told that the recommended repair was for cosmetic reasons only as there was some rust visible on our current cap.

I’ve had many people come by and say how great the work is. They were great and cleaned up everything. There wasn’t any thing they didn't do and they had they had to work hard to search & to find the same brick to match the house.

They did a great job. They were on-time, professional and cleaned up well after themselves.

He was on time, checked the fireplace and chimney from top to bottom and made a few suggestions. He was able to put a heat plate on the backside of our fireplace to save 40% off the heat when we do have a fire in there.

I know that my husband was very happy with them. I don’t think their charges were a lot. I personally didn’t deal with them but it was my husband. My husband thought that they were very professional and good at what they did. They did a good job. I will definitely use them again in the future if I need to.

The gentleman just left after having looked at my chimney and determined my leaking problem was with the roof, not the chimney. He was very helpful and recommended I contact my original roofer again. I would certainly use his services in the future if I ever needed to.

They were very prompt, courteous and they cleaned up. They didn’t leave a mess. Their pricing was reasonable. They cleaned it and checked it out. They told me what was going on with the chimneys.

The whole experience went very well. Dennis was confident in his presentation of documented facts and recommendations. He is personable and we will seek his services this spring.

I spoke with Mad Hatter around Feb. 8th regarding problems I am having with my chimney. The man I spoke with on the phone was very friendly and said that they would come out and look at the chimney and then give me an estimate. He said that they wouldn't schedule a time to come, but instead would stop by some time when they were already in the area. He called again on Feb. 17th and said they would either stop by that evening or on the following Wednesday. I haven't heard from them since. I guess they don't need any new business.

Went well, Very punctual and thorough for both cases. We highly recommend. Call them early, they are busy, but well worth it.

The price was very reasonable. They had lost my information when I called them, and they didn't call me until I called them back.

They did a great job. We were very happy. Their ways were good. They were on time and very professional. I'd give them an A. They were average so I think that was good as far as price. I didn't find them really cheap but I didn't find them in the high end either. I thought they were middle on the price. We chose them not just based on cost, we actually looked at reputation. We'd rather have someone who's average but dependable. Their workmanship was good.

Did a great job, showed up on time, did not try to sell me a chimney liner, which seems to be the usual hustle for this profession. Did a great job and I will be using them again this spring.

He was good. He was prompt. It was a good experience. He seemed pretty knowledgeable, and they took good pictures of the damage on the chimney.

Arrived on time, made sure to protect the flooring around the fireplace, cleaned the chimney, and cleaned up the work area after. He did a great job!
