Terminix - Indianapolis -Termite & Pest Control

I had the service plan from Terminix where they came out once every quarter to spray. I called on Monday 2/18 to see if we could get someone to spray in our house because we have ants in our bathroom. I was told at that time that my scheduled service was for Thursday 2/21 and that someone would come in the house to spray then. No one came on Thursday, and no one called to tell me they weren't coming or to tell mewhen they were coming. They didn't actually come until Saturday, 2/23,when my family and I were out of town so no one came in the house to spray. I called the following Monday, 2/25, to let them know of the issue and to schedule another appointment for that Wednesday, 2/27. No one came again and no one called. I just got off the phone with them today (2/28) and was told that they would not be able to schedule another appointment until next Wednesday (3/5), and if that appointment didn't work it would be after 3/15 before they could fit me in. They didn't seem to care that I was trying to schedule my third appointment in two weeks because they continually do not show up. I wouldn't recommend them at all. It's pricey and the service can't be that great if I'm getting ants in my house in February. Buyer beware.

The treatments were excellent. We were very pleased with them. They are very thorough. They always call ahead to let me know that they are coming. And, they are determined to help with our mouse problem. We had an excellent and dependable experience with them.

It appears the problem is being taken care of

They have been coming on a quarterly basis and we have had excellent results--not one cricket or other critter entering the basement or elsewhere in the house. We are very pleased with the service and the service technician is extremely professional and always comes to the door to let us know when he arrives and leaves and asks for update on any concerns.

in general they perform very good and the techs are polite. we have had issues with scheduling, such as techs showing u when we didn't expect them. Overall though, we don't have bugs and that is what counts the most.

They took care of that problem, and the reason I chose them is because it is a flat fee for the year and they come out quarterly but you can call them back as many times as you want between appointments for no extra charge. Every time you see a bug you can call them out if you want to and it's all included in the package. The only thing I wasn't pleased with is that they don't have anything they can do about flies. We started having a problem with flies around the porches and they only offered me the solution of going to Wal-mart and buying/putting up fly strips myself. I feel like even if fly strips were the only solution that should be included in their services. Overall, I am very pleased, our usual technician, Ron, is very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. I am a stay at home mom and it means a lot to me to have someone I am comfortable with coming to my home. Another pleasant surprise was that he treats around our 3 outbuildings for no extra charge. This was so nice, because he found lots of wolf spiders around the garage and one of the sheds which probably would have made their way up to the house. The service package includes interior and exterior treatment, but we really didn't have too much problem with bugs inside, and we have a newborn baby so I chose to only have exterior treatment (but it is all the same price).

I pay about $99 per quarter and I think the pricing is appropriate. They kill the bugs but I don't really deal much with it.

We bought a new house that had sat for a year and need some pest control. My first call was to Terminix based on the grade on Angie's List. We were signing up for the yearly contract and were pleased with the gentleman who sold the contract by phone. They didn't show up for the first scheduled time because the technician was sick. Ok, these things happen so we rescheduled. The next scheduled time was two days later between 4PM and 6PM. To be fair, I arrived at the house around 4:03. I sat at the house until 6PM and called them to confirm their arrival. The lady said the technician was there from 3:30-4:15 which clearly was not the case. I appreciate the 45 minute window, but I wish it would have started at 4. As I pulled up to the house I noticed a pest control truck that was not branded Terminix pulling away and stopping in front of my neighbor's house. If this was the technician from Terminix he clearly saw me pull in and continued on. Maybe Terminix brokers pest control deals for other companies, so be it, not my business. However, I will not be doing business with them again.

Initial visit with inspector when well. Did all the prep work and they came back and sprayed. I received a treatment for bed bugs on 8-28. I started seeing a couple of bugs around the crown molding on 9-12, I called because of the guarantee. I got a call back, but was not home, I returned the call, got a person who said they would give that division the message and they would call me back. No call so I called again the next day. I was told they had left a message and they would call me back. Still no call. I found the phone number of Aaron Carlson, the initial inspector, I called him. He gave me the number of Eric. I called, no answer, his mailbox was full, so I could not leave a message. I called the next day, left him a message. I got a call back, phone rang twice, I answered he hung up. I called right back, left another message, called him later in the day, he has not call back. I have been calling since 9-12, the bugs they missed have now had time to lay more eggs and infest the bedroom again. I paid for the service, I have called for a week. I would like someone out here, before you have the redo the whole treatment again. Today is 9-19, I have left a message for Jim Cahill. I paid alot for this treatment, to have possible start all over again.

We are having problems with mice in our home and wanted to have them addressed before leaving for a trip. I called Terminex and arranged for a service call. The representative told me there was a 4 hour window for a service call and he scheduled me for between 1-5 pm the next day, but he said they would call 2 hours in advance. I told the representative I would be at work and asked to have the technician call me on my cell phone so I could come home before the technician arrived, and I left my cell phone number with the representative. He assured me that he had noted my cell phone number on the information for the serviceman, and he also told me that he would make a note that I preferred a later afternoon time if possible. By 2 pm I had not received a call, so I call Terminex to find out when they would be coming.The representative (a different person) told me the technician had come to my house at 1 pm, and that he had called my home phone number, not my cell phone number. She said that the notes regarding calling me at work on my cell phone "did not print out". I asked her if he could come back later and she said no. I asked her how I could be sure that that they would not call the wrong number again if I arranged for another date and she said "sometimes all of the information doesn't print out for the technician". As I had arranged my calendar so I could leave early to meet the serviceman, I found the experience very frustrating. I will try another company. .

Their service was okay. The issue was that they no called no showed 2 times. I don't have 2 or 3 hours to sit around or wait for them

We think they can get a little bit cheaper and it is one of those things that we have to look around at. They are okay. We had another pest control provider and they sold out to Terminix so we kind of inherited them. We are not sure if we would stay with them. We need to look around.

Had service with Venture Pest control, which got bought out by Terminix. We have noticed significantly more ants and spiders on the perimiter of our house since the service got switched over. They not longer peform two of the three services Venture Pest Control performed -- sweeping the eaves to get rid of wasp nests and granulating the lawn 10' out in addition to spraying the perimeter. The former is just a pain since I have to get a ladder out and spend $5 on wasp spray every time I see a wasp nest which is 3-4 times per summer. And that still leaves the dormant nest which requires I get a second 24' ladder out to take it down. It was a nice convenience factor. The granules are the bigger issue which I suspect is why we are seeing increased ants and spiders outside than when Venture was performing the services. We just switched to Insight which peformed the same services Venture did for the same price, including sweeping the eaves and granules. Insight also sprayed the carpenter bees in our playset and log pile. When I called Terminix to cancel, and specifically mentioned these services were no longer peformed, they did not contest this in any way or offer to perform these services, so I assume they just don't offer them. If all they are doing is spraying the perimeter, my lawn fertilizer company already does that for $15 quarterly or I could do that myself in 5 minutes just using a gallon bottle with automatic sprayer from Costco for $15. Certainly not worth $95.

I do not have any problems with them. Everything has been okay. I did decide to go with somebody else which I did use for a year but Terminix bought them out so they are back with me. The price is the same. They have all been very nice.

They have a pretty straight forward warranty which makes things really simple.

They did a good job. They are not a one size fits all service. They can tailor their treatment methods to your needs.

We’ve been using them for years. They ask if we have any problems inside but since we’ve had them, we never have had bugs in the house. They call us beforehand to tell us they’re coming. They tell us how long to keep the dog in and they always ring the doorbell when they get here and when they leave. They’re very decent men. I watched them this week and they cleaned all our windows before they even touched the house. He went above and beyond.

Overall their services are very good. I would recommend them and use them again.

I haven’t used them recently. I thought that their price was a little high which was the reason I stopped using them. The service was okay. They never left any mess and so they were clean.

I pay an annual fee. They are good.

I’ve found their service to be satisfactory. I’ve never really had to call them other than on a scheduled appointment and so I’m assuming their responsiveness is okay. They are usually here when they say they are going to. They’re pretty much on time. I will use them again in the future if I need to.

Several times they showed up without calling. They were not thorough, and I did not think they were worth the money.

It was a termite issue that we had so it required quite a bit. I felt good about what they had to offer and what they had to propose.

We will keep service if needed.

We have always had good service with them and they are prompt as well.
