Terminix - Indianapolis -Termite & Pest Control

Description of Work: They did their quarterly service of spraying for bugs. I have had Terminex in several cities over the last 30 years. In Indianapolis, I have had 10 different technicians in the past 5 years. Most technicians are great, but some are terrible. I don't like that I have technicians changing all of the time. They raise their price every year, no matter the economy, etc. Their product works, and they return between treatments if you have any problems.

Description of Work: They come 4 times a year. They just do the outside unless I request them to come inside. I've used them for several years.

Description of Work: I have a service contract and do not need to worry, Dave always shows up when service is due. Dave has always been accommodating when needed. I had a mouse in the garage and Dave helped to resolve the problem quickly.

Description of Work: Treated interior and exterior. Have been a customer for over 20 years. Technicians are great and very professional. Problem is they don't always come when scheduled. It is highly unlikely if same technician will be back for next service. Lot of coordination and scheduling problems within district office. Been a persistent issue for years that even the technicians acknowledge is beyond their ability to do anything about.

Description of Work: Provided quarterly pest control and cleaned spider webs from outside house. We have had very little problems with spiders or other pests since using Terminix. We never have the indoors treated, but they have promptly come out whenever we have had additional needs indoors.

Description of Work: I noticed weeds growing in the yard; they came out within 24 hours of my call, evaluated and we agreed on the action that needed to be taken.

Description of Work: I contacted the call center at 1000am today to inquire about services to check and prevent termites. I had used Terminix years ago. I advised my neighbor just had Terminix over and for $89.00 they did a spray around her ranch home...identical to mine. I wanted to know about this service. The man on the call would only go over a canned speech and would not let me ask any questions. When I asked about a one time service and check, he told me my neighbor probably booked a long time ago and I said no. Then he said she transferred her service and again I said no a new home owner. I asked if I could talk to someone in the Indianapolis area vs the call center to clarify information and he said, "good luck with that" and promptly disconnected me. This employee cost you my business, but also that of our neighborhood association. His performance was unprofessional and unacceptable. Suzanne DeCellis

Description of Work: In 2010 I had a contract with Venture Pest Control which was purchased by Terminix on 3/8/2012. My contract with Venture was cancelled on 3/1/2012. However, Terminix continues to show up at my home to perform service. Three times so far we have met them parked in our driveway not knowing why they were there. We have never had them do anything at our home. We finally figured out what happened when one of the drivers told us about Venture and that he would get us off of the route. Much to our suprise, Terminix has continued to charge my credit card $95.00 per service. So far we are up to $285.00. When I initially caught this I spoke with the Terminix Area Manager and was appalled when he told me that I was at fault because I did not pay close enough attention to my bank account. I have had numerous conversations with Terminix and each time they promise a refund and that a refund has been processed. But, so far no refund has been credited to my account. I have filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General's Office but really do not expect them to do anything. As far as I am concerned, Terminix is stealing money from me that they have no right to. No work was ever performed.

Description of Work: I just want you to know how upset I am currently with Terminix. I called on Monday, 7/2 to schedule an appointment as I have bees in the vinyl siding. I also asked about a termite inspection. After thinking about it, I decided to speak with my husband first so I called and cancelled the service. On Monday evening I received a call to reschedule as the gentleman scheduled to come out here had already gone home. I told them then I had cancelled the appointment. On Tuesday, I was set up on their schedule and was called and the gentleman was not the most pleasant person that I spoke with but I told him the service call had been cancelled. He did ask if this was the second time I had cancelled and I told him "no" that I had cancelled the morning before. I left for the afternoon on Tuesday and when I returned AC had been here to do the termite inspection and left his card. I called him back and he was super nice and represented the company well. He informed me of several things that could happen regardin the termite inspection. I told him I would give him a call back. This morning I was contacted by James and said I was on his schedule for today for the bee issue which again I had cancelled on Monday. On spur of the moment, I told him to go ahead and come out and take care of the bee problem and decided I would call AC back regarding the termite inspection. James then called back after saying he was on his way and said since I had cancelled the appointment so he could not come out now. He said I would have to call them back and to reschedule next week as they were too busy this week. I had a problem before when I had service with Terminix and now I AM REALLY IRRITATED with them at this morning. They will most likely never get my business again. At this point, I am thoroughly absolutely aggravated with them. Why did they keep putting me on the schedule if I cancelled the appointment. I am so mad at this point, I would really give someone a piece of my mine. I just wanted to let you know the response I have received from them. Part of it is my fault and part their fault as they kept putting me on the schedule and people kept calling. I just wanted to let you know of the issues I've had this week. Description of Work: Terminix is terrible with scheduling and keeping appointments. Many appointments have been cancelled and rescheduled without notifying us. Multiple service technicians have shown up on the same day to perform the same service. Recently a Terminix sales rep arrived for an annual termite inspection and informed my wife she should be glad it was him instead of a service technician doing the inspection as he would do a much better job. Supposedly a new service technician has been assigned to our area. We will give Terminix one last chance. The next failed or rescheduled appointment without notice will cause us to terminate our our service contract and try a local competitor.
