Terminix - Indianapolis -Termite & Pest Control

Terminix baited my house to get bugs but I didn't want bait to attract the bugs, I wanted poison to kill the bugs. I checked the dirt around my house and there were termites everywhere. Terminix doesn't do anything to treat the termite problems, but they will pay for any damages that happen sort of like an insurance company does. I basically gave Terminix money to not do anything.

Terminix will come out whenever you have a problem. We pay for their services quarterly. They've done a good job for us for around 25 years. When we have a problem they come out and fix it.

They are very punctual and after they provide the service they will follow up to make sure everything has been taken care of. If it hasn?t, they are out within the next day to get it taken care of.

They did a good job. They did what they said they would do. They cleaned up after themselves. They are very helpful in their availability, very prompt.

see above, I was very stressed at the time or I would have made sure that the entire process was explained before signing the "oh so important" CONTRACT. The CONTRACT and not the SERVICE seems to be the main concern of the company.

They were supposed to come out quarterly to maintain the problem, but I recall having to call them to remind them to come out. All that being said, the pests were taken care of. They did what they said they were going to do. I think it was probably over-priced. I felt that the gentleman who came out was being a bit pushy.

We think that the ants are gone. They did a good job and what they did seem to work.

They come many times in a year and I pay them a lump sum amount. They are very professional and courteous. They call before they come and they also come on time. They are very good overall.

I used a bunch of stuff that I bought, and I also used Terminix. I don?t know which really worked, but I don?t have any ants at all. The house I had moved into had been vacant for 4 months, so I had a large community of spiders that had set up shop. Most of the spiders are gone, but I occasionally do come across a spider. They always answer when I call. We needed an extra treatment between visits, and they came out for free and did whatever was needed. They always give me a window within which they will come.

They did an inspection about 6 months ago. I?ve never really had to call them out - they come when it is time to do the inspection. I pay $285 a year. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

They will come to spray as many times as you like. If you find that your problem persists then they will keep coming back. It is rare that this is the case, but it is nice that they will continue to come back. The staff is very nice and respectful of your home; they will do the inside first then go outside so that they don't have to come back inside for any reason with dirt or mud tracking in. They are also very friendly. Price wise, they may be a little on the high side, but they do stand behind their work so it's worth it.

Overall, we had a very good experience with them. We will use them again in the future.

I am never here when they come out, but I guess their work is adequate because we don?t have pests. They are a well known company and they are very professional.

They come out every 3 months. They do so much for a year. They spray the inside if I want them to, and the outside.

They look at everything. They take care of the rats, spiders, bugs and ants. They know their job very well. They give me extra traps to put down so that I don?t have to wait for them. They do a good job.

The people who work for Terminix do certainly care about the customers. The person from Terminix once informed me about a water burst outside my house, while I was away on a vacation. He even called me later just to make sure whether that the problem was fixed. I don?t have to call them because they call me and inform me when they would come out.

They are on time, friendly, and professional.

Everyone I've met and spoken to a Terminix are very nice and polite. I must give them an A for that. I wanted to say that up front. The real issue that prompted me to enter this is the overall dependability of the company and their scheduling techniques. All attempts to schedule a mutually agreed time of services have failed. In every instance, after the initial visit, I recieved bill for payment with a due date before I recieved the service. Each time I had to call to schedule a service after I recieved the bill. I assume they expected to be paid whether I recieved the service or not. The explation I always recieved was that "they came by my house, but I wasn't there so they couldn't treat on the inside" implying that I still needed to pay anyway. They were always willing to schedule an appointment after the fact but never called me before to arrange an appointment. The times they offered were never convenent. They typically wanted to come to my home when I was working. Each time this occurred I was promised the scheduling would be better next time, but this has never improved. I recieveed some excuses like "it was the computer's fault" or it was the fault of the "corporate office" but it has gotten really old. While I rated the price a "B" this is based upon the assumption that I would recieve a service eventually. But the price wouldn't be so good if I didn't get anything in return. It has become too much effort on my part to get them to perform the service. We're nearing the end of a annual service agreement. I indicated, No, when asked if I would use them again because I couldn't honestly say Yes, for sure, at this point.

We have used them for at least three or four years and they seem to do a pretty good job. I think what they charge seems a little high, but they guarantee that if you ever have damage done to your home by termites they will cover the cost of the damage.

He found elder wood bugs outside and we do not have elderwood trees. He thinks that spraying inside drove the bugs outside. The guy sprayed the hell out the bugs and two plants died. He missed a couple of wasp nests. We did get rid of the ants so props for that. Even though he missed the wasps nests we never had wasps. I think the nests were dormant. Then they were supposed to call and come out again. They never called and I do not know if they ever came out but, they did send me a bill. I am not paying because I do not know if they ever came out to my house.

They do a fine job, they are friendly & they come out when scheduled. They tell me in advance so that I can be ready. Their prices are fair & we have been satisfied every time they come out.

Terminix came out to spray for the ants. The first time, they sprayed the entire house and told us that we would probably see more ants for a couple of days. A week later we still has ants. I called and they came back again to spray just the bathrooms, kitchen, and the outside area. Again, we were told that the ants should go away in a couple of days. This time we waited for 10 days before I called them back. The person who came out the third time put out "straw" traps in the bathroom and kitchen. Within 3 days all the ants were gone. Terminix was very helpful and the follow-up visits were all covered under our initial payment.

Terminix called beforehand to let us know that a tech would be out to our house. The tech arrived on time and came to the door. He explained what he would be doing. He sprayed/put powder inside/outside our house. He also put a mouse catch trap where we had seen a mouse enter our crawl space area from the outside. He was friendly, courteous, and professional. Great Service!

I found a mud-run in the garage on a Thursday. They came out the next day to take care of that and immediately scheduled installation of traps. They caught some within two weeks, then baited the traps to take out the nest. They also determined that no structural harm was done to the house. Because of their quick response, I may have been saved a lot of stress and money in repairs.

I signed a contract with Terminix years ago, (2003) before I joined Angie's List. The price quoted for the treatment, including 15 or so baiting stations, was similar to the other member who reviewed them (approx. $1600). In the years since then, I have renewed my contract annually because of the guarantee they promote to re-treat and replace any damage that occurs to your home while you're under contract with them. In previous years, I have called when I've seen new evidence of activity, and they have come out to re-treat each year, upon seeing live termites. Well, this year I spotted new damage to my hardwood floors and around the window sill, and I called immediately for someone to come out and inspect. They sent someone fairly quickly (within a week), and I met with him to show him the various spots where I had seen damage. He took notes and said he'd file a report and that his supervisor would likely recommend retreatment of the areas I had shown him. When I didn't receive a call to schedule my retreatment, I called their number only to learn that no report had been filed, and that the tech they'd sent was new, so they needed to send out a more experienced tech. I asked if they could also send a carpenter or someone who could evaluate repair work at the same time, since I now had to take additional time off work in order to meet the second tech at home. They discussed it and called me back, saying they were sending only the tech at this time. We scheduled an appointment time for about two weeks later. The tech who came out is one I've met with before in years past, and he concluded that there were no live termites and that the damage I shown him was old or possibly from ants. Thus, no treatment is recommended, only a new baiting station. My frustration comes from the fact that their guarantee apparently is predicated on seeing live termites, which they said they don't see, and yet I have damage that would suggest that they have been here! I realize the company makes no money repairing floors, but I feel like I've paid to continue a contract for several years now on the good faith belief in their guarantee, only to find that it really doesn't exist.
