Service provider diligent about getting appt scheduled. Very professional. Put up spotlight. Would hire again.

First, I want to say the owner was very polite and respectful. We purchased the "Big Deal", $79 for two hours of labor. After I made my purchase I was called by the contractor very promptly to schedule an appointment. At the time they could not schedule anything for at least two to three weeks. We agreed on a date for service and I explained exactly what the project entailed in detail. On the day of scheduled service the contactor called to let me know he would be arriving on the job within 90-minutes. He reiterated to me exactly what the job he was to perform that day and I confirmed what we wanted done. When he arrived on the job, he did not have the basic material needed to complete the job and wanted to take part of our two hours of purchased service to go get proper material which would have taken around 40-minutes. We disapproved and asked that he reschedule when he could come to the job prepared to complete the process we gave plenty of information for and not waste the labor we already purchased driving around town. Two weeks later on our agreed upon rescheduled date, I received a call to confirm they would arrive between 9:00AM and 10:30AM and again asked if they had everything needed to complete the job with them. I was assured they did, and that was exactly the case. The contractor did arrive but at least 15-minutes late. The job was completed beautifully within two hours, but it appears we differ on when to stop charging for labor. When the actual work was completed, the contractor then spent at least 20-25minutes in his work truck writing out an invoice then wanted to charge for an additional 30-minutes of labor. I'm all for paying for what is due but I have never had this happen before, and I have hired plenty of contractors in my time. Again, the work was excellent, but the organization, execution and communication were not the strongest in my opinion. Next time, I will complete more research on the contractor before taking any advertised deal. I could have been more prepared for what I was getting or decided not to take it at all.

Excellent service would recommend this gentleman to anyone interested in having electrical work completed in their home.

They said that their truck broke down and couldn’t come out the day that we had arranged them to come.

The scope of my project was beyond what I had thought. So I decide not to go forward.

1. I will say that two problems were fixed. 2. Our first scheduled appointment, he was several hours late (according to him, this was someone else's fault) so my husband (who understood the problem) could not be there, and I had to try to explain the issue. He was here for less than 30 minutes to diagnose the problem. The gentleman said, since he would need to come back and have an additional person, he wouldn't charge me for the first visit. 3. Second visit he shows up, completely having forgotten that he needed to being additional help, so we had to schedule a third appointment. He was apologetic for his oversight and told me again that I would only be paying for labor over and above the two hour big deal I already paid for. He even said he'd give me an additional discount for my inconvenience (note: this was the second day i took off work needlessly due to his poor record keeping). 4. By the third appointment, we were charged $300 because, he says, first two hours were the first visit. Not only is it untrue that he spent two hours in the first visit, it is NOT what he promised to do.

.did not fix all that was requested and what was done was not done well--replaced beige outlet in bathroom with white as that was all he had and husband specifically asked for outlet in garage to match others and we got silver conduit on the outside of the wall with a big box outlet. all other outlets in gargae are behind dry wall and beige in color. does not seem concerned with the way his work looks at all. did not fix outside lite that was requested at all

When I first spoke with Rock on the phone, he seemed a bit disorganized. For example, twice he asked me to call him right back and leave my name/number on his voice mail and he'd get back with me. He returned my first phone call at 8pm. Each time I spoke with him on the phone, I had to spell my name multiple times before he understood it, and he still called me by the wrong name, and my last name is not that complicated. I decided to put my apprehensions aside because he did have some good reviews. I selected him over the other electrical specials because he specified that he ran electrical for TV's above the fireplace. We scheduled it for two weeks out because he was so busy, which was fine with me. He was supposed to be there around 9am on a Friday . On the morning he was supposed to come, I got up and cleared everything out of the way. I called him around 9:30am because he hadn't yet arrived. . When I called him, (I again had to spell my name and he again called me the wrong name after I spelled it), he then told me he had an emergency and would be over within a few hours. When we initially scheduled, I told him I had plans in the afternoon and we needed to have everything wrapped up by 2pm. I asked him to call me when he was on his way and he never called. I found out later that he had been trying to call me but was calling the wrong phone number. He didn't call me at the number I had left on his voice mails, that I had called him from that morning, or that i had provided to him in the initial contact when I purchased the Big Deal. He was calling my spouse's ph# which had inadvertently been attached to my Angie's List acct but had been corrected the week prior. My spouse said he left a VM every hour all the way to 8pm and thought he sounded unprofessional on the phone and would prefer he not come to our house.

He went right to the problem got the part to fix it and installed it checked it a couple times and still had time to check other things and fix a bad Plug I had. I thought oh lord this is going to cost me it was only $23 Dollars for parts.

It went fine. Electrician did not have cover for outlet in stock. I had to go buy one and he did come back to cut it to size.

The owner of Tarheel Electric came onsite. He was professional and took his time to explain what he was doing and why. He let me ask him several questions about other possible projects and he offered options and what would be involved.

The visit was poor and ineffective. During the scheduling call the electrician asked about the job and I explained that I needed two dimmer switches added to two light switches. I said I could go purchase the dimmers and have them ready but he specifically told me NOT to get the dimmers because he didn't want me to get the wrong ones. When he came to the house (on time and good communication confirming etc.) he looked at one of the light switches and said he would need 2-3 hours to complete as it was more complicated, and couldn't possibly do during that day- which is understandable to me. The other switch he said could be simply changed but he would need to go buy the dimmer for it. So, he left and went to the store, came back and said they didn't have what he was looking for and he would need to go a different time to a different store and take care of it later. So, he charged me $100 to tell me he couldn't do anything, and if he comes back it will be much more expensive. Complete waste of time and money.

He showed up on time. He replaced an outdoor outlet box and found the issue with a ground sensor. I was happy with how the work looked when he was finished. I would use him again.

Arrived on time, very professional and courteous. Worked consistently while on the job and performed a difficult job to our satisfaction. Be aware that once your 'Angies List 'deal' time is up you will be billed at usual and customary rate, not the discounted rate in the 'deal'. We were very satisfied with this vendor.

Took three weeks to schedule. Then provider canceled on day of scheduled service. This was a gift for my brother.

The electrician arrived about 30 minutes early (he called ahead to make sure this would be convenient). He worked quickly and efficiently and took care to tidy up afterward. I was very satisfied with the work that was done.

Extremely poor communicator on phone. Would help for Tarheel to employ an answering/scheduling service so the public doesn't have to speak w/the technician until they are on site. After 2 minutes on phone w/the gentleman who answered the line there's absolutely no way I would let that person into my house.

Rock was on time and very professional.

When I called him to schedule, he was pushing me out at least two weeks out. I needed this job done promptly. I just let him know that I was going to have this refunded since he could not come sooner.

It didn't. The scheduling was very confusing and his behavior seemed confused and disorganized.

eI bought this deal as a gift for my son on July 8 . My son wanted 200 service, but the cost was going to be 2,200 usd. So My son wanted to find out if the 100 amp service would be sufficient. He decided to go with the 100 amp service and talked again with mr. Sharief. Now mr Sharief stated he could do the 200 amp service for $1800 but with out "pulling the tags or getting a permit. He said that he could do the 100 amp service for 1200 dollars--did not want to get permits. Without permits and pulling the tags we would have no certificate of origin which might invalidate the electrical system. Now we don't know what to do. The offer madw\e no mention of the extra fees.

When I purchased this coupon I expected a relatively quick turnaround. No one contacted me on the days/dates I ha requested. I had to reach out to them to get them to tell me they couldn't do anything for a month. They were not serviceable and the call I received when i told them I wanted to cancel was not the best either.

Mr. Sharief called me before heading to our home. He arrived in a timely fashion. He then went right to work on replacing the broken light switch. Our conversation was both pleasant and very friendly. He is a very kind gentleman. Before leaving, I asked him several questions about new light bulbs, seeking his advice on which types of bulbs were most appropriate for our fixtures, and found his advice quite helpful. I will certainly call him again when I need more electrical work completed at our home. I was quite pleased with his work, his professionalism, and his kindness. He's just a good guy, plain and simple.
