It wasn't great but it was okay. There were no additional charges. I had prepared a list of things to do and the guy finished the things. When he finished them quicker than the allotted time, he decided to leave instead of giving me the option of having extra things. It was 2 hours booked and he did everything in 45 minutes. I could have come up with more work for him to do in that time but he took it as that was it. I wasn't satisfied. It wasn't really completing the time on the contract.

Was given a window of 9 am - 10:30 am for electrician to arrive and start work. Electrician called around 9:50 am, said he would be at my house in 20-25 minutes. He then asked to confirm my location, he read back to me the wrong location as an intersection 15-20 minutes from my house. I told him that was incorrect, and gave him my address. He called again at 10:50 am, 20 minutes after the scheduled window and 35 minutes after he said he would arrive. He had gone to the bad location from the first phone call. This would have pushed the start time back even further, so I decided to cancel. Two hours of labor starting at least an hour after the scheduled window is not something I can do today. Will probably call another contractor.

On time, friendly. Went right to work. Got everything completed that I had wanted done.

They were good. They were very polite and went through everything that had to be fixed. He explained what he needed to do. Even after I changed my mind on a few things he was very accomidating. I was pleased.

Tarheel Electric was fine, called me at least twice about my appointment. Good customer service. I would use them in the future the next time I need electrical work done. I had to cancel only because the work I was going to have them do was fixed after I called the original electrician, who fixed the problem at no cost. Thank You

I called the day prior to schedule provider. He was an hour and a half late because he got tied up with another job and got lost. He was to fix a light that was attached to a ceiling fan. He worked on it for some time (an hour and a half). He said to me that he cannot figure out what is wrong and basically was not able to fix it. He "thought" it may have been a malfunctioning harness, but could not be sure and did not know where to find a new one. So we are out our 79$ and still have a light that does not work.

They arrived on time both days. The first day I had a photocell on an outside light replaced. Work was finished with better parts than I had before and it only took about an hour. The second day I had an outlet put in and some cables for an entertainment system pulled through the walls. Work looks good and was completed in a timely fashion. Would use them again. The price was great for the work I needed done.

It wasn’t too bad. They weren’t able to do what I needed to do and so I only was able to use 1 hour of the 2 hours that I paid for. The job just required extra expertise and he said it wasn’t worth the extra effort to do that.

It was an outside job so they had to cancel twice due to snow. It was a really cold day and he was working with screws to hang up lights for me. He had to go back to his truck several times to warm up his hands which I understood. I purchased an additional hour of service so he was able to hang all four lights. He did a very good job.

Great! We live in a historic house, and after trying to install a new light fixture ourselves, we realized an expert needed to install the new fixture to be able to attach it to a really old opening from the former light fixture. Completed everything we needed in the two hour time frame. Also got an estimate for future work and the estimate seemed really reasonable, so we'll likely use this company again for future work. It took a little effort to get this scheduled as we wanted the work done on the weekend and the online scheduler feature only allowed for weekday selections, but once we made a follow-up call to get this scheduled, the work was done within the week and accommodated our weekend scheduling needs.

He arrived on time and introduced himself. We went over the job and he promptly got to work. He always wore shoe coverings in the home and never wore them outside thus keeping them clean. He was very courteous and professional. I would use their services again in the future.

Great! Once we made contact (and rescheduled around the horrible weather), he was prompt, courteous and efficient.

Called when on the way. Looked over the job. Got right to work, took 1 hour. Thoroughly checked work. Produced paperwork and then left.

He was considerate and punctual--showed up exactly when he said he would on 3/4. But when he found that the can light I purchased wouldn't fit because there wasn't enough headroom, he immediately rescheduled for two days later and got the job done. The new light didn't fully cover the footprint of the old one, which required me to touch up paint, but the new light works great.

He didn't show up for two scheduled appointments and I had to make a special effort to be home to meet each time. He never even called to tell me he couldn't make it.

No show-no call from them. Me on the other hand was nice enough to re-schedule an appt that I took time off to be present for. Again, no show-no call again. First the office messed up, then it was due to weather that has backed them up. Great-but a responsible company would call and say they cant make it. One of the phone numbers posted must have been a personal number as the person answering the phone screams "It's someone that had an appt and no one showed up!! Apologies were made-but the third attempt to schedule was denied. This is my FIRST purchase through Angie's List and am hesitant to use going forward.

When owner arrived he readily told me the fan would take more than an hour. So I asked him to start with range outlet. He checked the outlet and then I showed him the electrical box in the garaage. After testing the line again with his instrument he stated that there were copper and aluminum wires in the outlet and there must be another box somewhere and wanted to know if I had a basement/crawl space. I showed him to the crawl space and tapped on the floor for him in order to guide him to the area of the plug. When he emerged from the crawl space he stated it must be in the attic. I tapped on the ceiling in order to guide him in the attic. He emerged from the attic and went back to the crawl space. After emerging from the crawl space he went back to the attic!!! THEN he returns to the electrical box in my garage and commented "Well I'll be damned!!" I went to the garage to see what was going on and he informs me that the spacer between the two switches was crooked and just needed straightening!!! |OF COURSE my TWO HOURS WAS UP BY THEN! Basically I paid him $99.00 to FLIP A SWITCH!

Returned call quickly. Scheduled work sooner than original quote. Selected and purchased lights that look good. Was very professional in work. Could have cleaned up a little better.

Mr. Shariet did a great job installing the electrical outlet right where we wanted it. He was pleasant and professional and conscientious about cleaning up after the work was complete.

|Price might not have been so good without Angie's "Big Deal" discount, but generally seemed reasonable. Time management slight issue -- got a late start and couldn't fit whole job into single day. Had to return for a second try.

I recently joined Angie's List so I was very excited to purchase a super deal for 2 hours of electrical labor for $99 through Tarheel Electric. I had planned to have 2-3 outlets installed depending on what they could do in the 2 hour time frame. The electrician was to arrive between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM on date selected. He called me at 4:09 PM to state he was on his way. After arriving at my home at 4:55 PM, I proceeded to show him where I wanted the outlets. He then told me that he would only be able to do an hours worth of work as my 2 hours had started at the time he called to say he was on his way! He took almost 50 minutes to get to my house after the phone call! I said the deal did not stipulate including travel time or else I would never have purchased it! He then told me thats how it works so I declined to proceed.

Very prompt, efficient, good communication and finished on time.

Mr. Sharief worked for four hours continuously until the work was done, on a Sunday no less. He was concerned the ground might freeze if the work were done any later and so volunteered to come on the weekend. He replaced all the dirt which had been dug up, and the yard looks as it did before all the digging. He was very professional and persistent in getting the job done. I really appreciate all his hard work in getting to the bottom of the problem. I look forward to having him do some other repairs around the house.

On time, worked until all tasks had been completed and did not feel that I had been over charged. Very well pleased.
