Went very well. Kevin was able to come out on short notice, and was on time. He was professional and thorough in performing the review, and was very good at communicating exactly what was going on structurally and why. Ultimately he was able to conclude that the "issues" noted by the inspector were cosmetic flaws only, were to be expected, and had no impact on the structural integrity of the area. He issued a very detailed report in a timely manner, which was able to help us reassure the prospective buyers. I would definitely recommend Kevin if you have a need for a structural engineer.

We were responding to a buyers concern regarding structural issues in a house we are selling.. Kevin's inspection and report were professiional and should reassure prospective buyers. HE WAS THERE ON TIME (7AM!!)

Kevin came out to our home to assess moving a few attic knee walls in our 70 year old home. He was extremely thurough in reviewing - spending more than 2 hours in our home. He was very detailed in his explanations and findings, and was willing to push out his findings in any format. I highly recommend.

He came out to inspect the house and looked at areas we suspected of having issues - he found none. We then had him investigate the wall and crawl space area near our sliding glass door to determine the cause for it warping in the frame. He found water damage, took a number of digital photos for us on his camera, and discussed possible resolutions and how we could prevent future problems. A week or two later we received a written report. No photographs. He had said he would email us the photos, but we never received the email. When we asked him to resend the email of the photographs, he was unable to locate the photos and that seemed to be the end of the discussion as far as he was concerned. We felt we had paid for a report that included photos and didn't get them.

Kevin investigated the structural integrity of the half bath of my home built in 1900. He also looked at the original cistern that I accidentally discovered. He explained causes & suggested possible solutions thoroughly on a laypersons level that I could understand. Kevin & I agreed that a written report was not necessary.

Kevin is professional and very knowledgeable. He explains everything in detail and goes above and beyond to make sure you understand not just how but why too. He makes it easy to understand and offers some advice as to how to repair. Great guy!

Even though Kevin was only a few minutes late, the first words out of his mouth were "I'm sorry I'm late. I tried to call, but I guess I had the wrong number." He inspected the problem, answered all my questions, explained the problem without talking down to me, and was very reassuring. I felt he was well worth the $95.00 an hour he quoted me over the phone, but he must have thought it was a very minor problem, because when I went to write my check to him, he wouldn't charge me.

He was polite, professional, knowledgeable.

Kevin efficiently examined the fireplace and determined the cracks were due to settling, no structural problems. He explained all this to me in layman terms and wrote a comprehensive follow up report.

I met Kevin at the property and he took measurements and photographs. He also described the typical construction sequence. His contract was for $95 per hour including travel time. Because it was impossible to determine if addition footers had been installed below the wall in question, Kevin indicated that he would calculate the load on the foundation to determine if there was any reason to be concerned. He also considered the fact that the house had been standing for 12 years.

Kevin was polite, helpful, and gave me the information I needed.

THE ENGINEER, KEVIN BEIL, ARRIVED REASONABLY ON-TIME. HE WAS METHODICAL IN HIS ASSESSMENT AND CLEAR IN HIS INSTRUCTION. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THAT HE DID NOT PROVIDE ANY WRITTEN COMMENT.

STEVE CAME OUT AND IMMEDIATELY DETERMINED THE BULKHEAD WAS NOT LOADBEARING. SINCE HE STILL HAD TIME ON THE CLOCK AVAILABLE, HE LOOKED AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE HOUSE TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY POTENTIAL STRUCTURAL DEFECTS -HE FOUND NONE. STEVE WAS ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, AND HELPFUL.

KEVIN WAS MOST INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL WITH OUR QUESTIONS. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THAT OTHERS WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT STRUCTURAL ISSUES USE HIS SERVICES. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN.

KEVIN WAS VERY HELPFUL AND RECOMMENDED A CONTRACTOR AND EVEN CALLED THE CONTRACTOR AND PASSED MY NAME AND NUMBER ON TO HIM. KEVIN REALLY WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP ME WITH NO BENEFIT TO HIMSELF. I'LL CALL THIS FIRM FIRST WHEN I NEED AN ENGINEER!

KEVIN HELPED DESIGN A DO-IT-YOURSELF SOLUTION TO A SOMEWHAT CHALLENGING STRUCTURAL ISSUE.

KEVIN WAS VERY POLITE, HELPFUL AND PROMPT. HE HELPED US DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM WITH OUR CRAWLSPACE AND GRADING. WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE KEVIN AGAIN.

KEVIN BEIL WENT OUT OF HIS WAY (ABOVE & BEYOND) TO PUT OUR MINDS AT EASE. HE RETURNED MY CALLS PROMPTLY, WAS EXTREMELY PLEASANT & IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE.
