The job went well from start to finish although it ended up taking four days instead of one. This was not a problem or inconvenience for me because I opted to purchase the mold preventative coating which required two coats plus drying time. I'm sure the extra time and trips complicated Elden's schedule, but he completed the job in a timely fashion without seeming rushed. I found Super Handyman Service in 2010 through Angie's List and have used the company to open, close, and service my pool since then. Elden is courteous, conscienctious, and professional. I will continue to rely on his company for pool service.

Elden has been our pool service provider since May of this year (2011). We moved into a home with numerous pool issues. Over the course of the spring and summer he's installed a new heater, cleaned the pool deck, provided weekly service, sealed the pool floor, changed the pool liner and installed a new skimmer. Elden and his staff are great to work with. He is a very nice man and is a good communicator. He promptly returns phone calls and patiently answers questions. He was very patient with me talked me through my options when I was having trouble deciding on which pool liner to purchase. He has a lot of knowledge and experience and is able to advise first-time pool owners like us. He and his guys showed up, worked hard, and left the pool looking beautiful! The pool's transformation is incredible! He did a fantastic job installing our new liner! It is perfectly smooth and looks fantastic!

I found Elden on Angie's List and am so glad I did! We first called him in an emergency situation in May when our pool opened in terrible shape and another pool service company quit on trying to clean it up. Elden had our pool clear again and ready to swim in 4 or 5 days. We have been under contract with him for weekly service since then, and he has done a great job. He is very hard-working and professional. He expects the same from his employees. He and his wife Sarah have been very responsive to any requests or questions. This is our second summer with a pool, and having Elden take care of it has decreased our anxiety tremendously. I hardly ever worry about the pool now, and last year it was a daily worry. I talked to Eldon about opening our pool. He then offered to do weekly service chemicls etc. He is a very nice man. Very professional and is there when he says he will be there.

We have used Elden's services many times and very very happy with the results. This time he did not charge us because they were just adjustments! We will certainly call Super Handyman again.

Elden came out in April to give an estimate on painting my concrete pool and seal the stainless steel liner. He was very detailed about how he would complete the job and with what quality. I had 3 separate estimates. Elden's was the most expensive, but also was the most detailed and I thought would do the best job. I signed the contract with Elden to complete the job in late June. 2 weeks before the job was to begin, Elden's assistant called to confirm details and said that Elden would contact me the next day to go over details. I week before the job was to begin, I called Elden because he did not call me. The next day I got an Email stating that he had to fire a couple of employees due too poor workmanship and work ethics and that he would not be able to do the job. There was no offer to reschedule or to make it right, just a simple Email canceling his portion of the contract. I have no idea why he really did not want the job but his excuse does not work. If he truly was short handed, he could have simply rescheduled. Now I have to go through the whole estimate process again and will probably have to wait until next spring. Very unprofessional and unappreciated. He has put me in a very bad spot, and I had no other option than to write this poor review! ***Update*** Elden did not call 2 weeks before. He emailed (cowards way out) 1 week before. If I had broken the contract I would have been liable for half of the cost. He breaks the contract, and he is liable only for "I apologize". If he would have actually called and talked, things might have gone different. It's funny that all the negative responses he gets, is always him trying to do the right thing. They are negative for a reason. YOU FAILED YOUR CUSTOMER. Man up and accept it, instead of trying to excuse it away.

The service itself is great. However, he is little overloaded this time of year, so his responsiveness can be lacking at times.

Could not have gone any better - he is a true professional.

Elden was professional and punctual. He did everything he said he was going to do. We had a pool party that we needed a new pool heater put in and he was able to order and install before the date of the party. Our pool area has never looked so clean and neither has our pool.

I spent about $1065 on that service. I liked that he worked real hard. I let it freeze, so it was my fault, so it was my fault. It broke some manifolds and some other things, so he took them all out and replaced them. He looked for leaks and then came back when there was a leak he came back and fixed it. He was really conscientious and worked real hard at it to makes sure.

Elden is thorough and he has a no-nonsense approach. He comes in and completes the job. He competes the job to perfection: leaving things "good enough" is not his style.

The pricing is good. I have used other pool providers in the past, and I think he does a better job than any of the others. He doesn't need to do as much to close the pool, so he made an adjustment to his price. I appreciated that.

Elden has been doing other handyman services for us, so we asked him to price a new pool cover and installation. He did a great job installing the cover and also closed our pool for the winter. Great job! According to the neighbors the pool has never looked better! His company also cleared some fallen trees and brush for us and did a great job.

Elden came out and called about an hour before coming out, I am going to keep this simple he was awesome he cleaned out the hot tub and got it up and running and then gave me an estimate on repairing my deck outside. He said he would call me back to check on the hot tub and to see if he needs to come out and replace any pumps, he hasn't called regarding this yet but I am sure he will. Thank you Elden for a stand up job I will definitely be using you again.

They did an exceptional job. They are very punctual and responsive in returning phone calls. Top of the class when it comes to contractors.

While we painted the pool ourselves Elden had excellent advice that was most helpful. We would certainly hire him again!

This was truly an excellent experience from start to finish. Elden, and his wife, Sarah, could not have been more responsive, accommodating, & friendly. When I purchased my home, the pool light did not work & I had no idea why - the previous owners did not know as well. I called Eldon, scheduled a time for him to come over, and he arrived when he said he would. He inspected the pool light & it was obvious that it needed to be replaced. It was unknown though whether the electrical line was working, but he gave me an honest rough estimate of the best & worse case scenarios - he was dead-on with the final price. The light was ordered, installed, and it was determined that the line did need to be replaced. Before proceeding, Elden called me and said he did need to run a new line & highly recommended he ran a conduit as well. I agreed and also asked him to install a new outlet by the gangbox so I could install low voltage lighting in the future. He was more than accommodating (likely had to make another trip to the store for more/different supplies) and when I arrived home I was more than happy with his work. The Gangbox, which included both the outlets and switch for the pool light, was installed at a perfect height, and the trench he dug was much less noticeable than I expected. He not only cleaned up the areas where he worked, but also cleaned up around my pool pump. That night, I was thrilled with the light and all of the capabilities - Elden knows his stuff! The quality of work exceeded my expectations & the customer service could not have been better. I have no doubt that I will be using and recommending Elden in the future!

In the past years we have worked with other pool suppliers to purchase materials and chemicals to keep our pool swimable and enjoyable. Personally we are not pool experts and found ourselves spending an excessive amount of time and money trying to "maintain" our pool which turned out to be both trying and very costly! This year we searched for help in this area and came across Super Handyman Services here on Angie's List. Elden Foltz came to our home and discussed in detail what they could do to help us. He said all we would have to do is swim and enjoy our pool and they would take care of the rest. He is absolutely right! They did a wonderful job opening the pool, cleaning and putting away the cover for us and pressure washing the surrounding pool deck area. Our pool has never looked better and it's been a pleasure to not have to worry about it. Once a week they come and take care of the cleaning and chemicals and make sure there is nothing else needed. Elden and his staff are very professional, honest, caring and a pleasure to do business with. I am convinced that this service has actually saved us money because we're no longer buying chemicals that we really didn't need and time for us is money! Elden and his staff are trained for pool care and this definitely makes a difference. My family will leave the care to those who know it best and we'll enjoy our pool.
