SHS Pool & Spa Service

Originally Elden was to come out to repair the pool however, just before he got there the sump pump in the basement went out and it started filling with water (Saturday.) I called him to let him know we had another emergency and he came prepared to put in a temporary sump pump and fan to dry out the basement in addition to fixing the pool liner. He called on Sunday to make sure the basement was drying out and that the temporary sump pump was working. On Monday he came with a new sump pump and battery backup. He was very responsive and took care of the problem quickly.

When I purchased the home the home inspector noted there were no GFI breakers on the pool electrical panel. Elden came out and explained what needed to be done and what the cost would be. He was done in about 2 hours and in that time his assistant did the plumbing repairs on the pool filter/pump system. I was very happy with their work and professionalism. I will certainly call Super Handyman again for work inside my home.

Contractor was very responsive, his prices were very fair and open, he completed the work on as fast a schedule as the rainy season would allow (about 2 to 3 weeks of which it rained about 75% of the days and made the ground very wet throughout), and he did a very nice job - including cleanup (which I place great value on because it allows a job to look and feel finished). I have a lot of confidence in his ability, knowledge and professionalism. I work with a lot of service providers, we have a large and expensive home, and he takes great care to do a complete, high quality, timely and honest job. I wish all of my service providers had his professionalism and attitude. Now that I have gotten to know him, I intend to consolidate as much work as I can with him such as plumbing, windows, handyman, pool, repairs and anything else he feels is within his area of competence. I have also referred a few of my friends and colleagues to him for work.

I was very pleased with Mr. Foltz's work. Everything looked great when he finished, and I had him return to replace parts on my pool heater. He is very concerned about doing the job to his customer's satisfaction.

Great, we will continue to call on Elden each year, twice a year. His service is way above and beyond the normal these days.

Overall Elden did an excellent job. He was quick to respond to our need for service and gave us peace of mind that the job was done correctly.

Elden was responsive and came over after work hours to assess the problems. He quickly noticed that (2) of the spa motors were seized up. They ordered new motors and had us up and running shortly after diagnois. We were charged the exact price of the motors and 3 hours labor which seemed very reasonable.

I thought Super Handyman Services did a good job keeping our pool healthy all year. They showed up every Friday to clean, test, and add chemicals as required. The pool looked great all year. Included in the price was the opening and closing of the pool, and power washing the pool deck. We paid $750 just to open and close the pool in the past. It was worth the extra money to not have to mess with the treatments and buying the chemicals. All we did was swim in it.

Our experience with this company has been great everytime. I called on a Monday, and Eldon was able to come to our house the following day to close our pool (which we should have had done a couple of months ago). This company is always responsive, pleasant, and professional. He has always had the right parts with him to complete the projects we've had him work on. He completes his work very efficiently. I also appreciate the fact that he runs his small business as an established business - complete with insurance protection. Not all handymen services can say they have adequate insurance coverage. I highly recommend them for any pool services, appliance repair/installation, and I plan to use their services (such as remodeling) in the future.

He is extremely knowledgeable about pools and he has a long background in doing pools. He does really fine work. He is very intelligent and if a problem comes up he knows exactly how to handle it. He is very available.

They were exceptional! I could not have been more impressed. They actually re-plumbed the swimming pool and put in a new filter. It was all working fine and that evening, it developed an issue. They were back out at 8 AM the next morning and fixed that issue.

After some initial delays and trying to fix the old heater over the phone, Eldon spent a day and a half replacing the pump, fittings, heater and pool light. He also did an in the water leak search and fixed a leak in the skimmer. Very professional and well-done.

It has been great working with Elden and his crew. We originally called them out to repair a burst pipe, they did a great job. We discovered that they did pool maintainence. We decided to give them a try since we were dissatisfied with our previous company. We have been thrilled! They are easy to work with and very responsive. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We purchased a foreclosed home with a pool and hottub. Needless to say the pool and hottub were in dire need of all kinds of attention. Elden not only addressed all our concerns for this initial overhaul to jump start our "new" pool but continues to advise us accordingly when asked for additional advice on products and recommendations. He's experienced in pool maintenance and repair and has given his honest opinion in every instance regarding the pros and cons of any given pool or pool care component. We opted not to replace the rusted out light fixture as it was more money than we wanted to spend. A few weeks after Elden's job was complete he called to let us know that he found a used light fixture that would get the job done at a third of the cost. This is one example of the extra care in customer service that Elden demonstrates in his daily business. The work Elden and his crew did on our pool was completed within a matter of days. They were courteous and hard working. We would not hesitate to hire them in the future for any job on our property.

Our liner was torn, so we had to get a new one. Eldon has performed multiple handyman services for us. He opens and closes our pool every year. He came out to the house promptly when called about the torn liner. He carefully measured for the new liner and promptly ordered it (after giving us multiple choices of liners and companies to pick from). It took 2 weeks for the liner to come in, but as soon as it did he had it installed. It looks great.

Came to repair my pool. Repaired part of it and promised to return the following week. After numerous phone calls, this service provider never showed up again.

From the time I called their office and throughout the day, he stayed in communication and was able to replace it sooner than we had anticipated from the original call. He was very helpful in considering our budget requirements, and was thorough in explaining what equipment he was purchasing and installing and what our overall cost would be. I would highly recommend this company!

The spa is working perfectly. It did not take long for the work to be done, and it was performed at close to the estimated price even though it took more work than originally thought.

Hot tub stopped working in the middle of sub zero weather. They came immediately to fix and got it running before any freezing could occur. Pump then went out the next night and they came right back right away to correct that. They were 2 separate problems but they gave me a break on the second one any way. Even stopped on their own a week later to check on it. Very professional and punctual. Would highly recommend as a result of their service.

They were timely. Follow up was good. I would highly recommend them, and I'm actually going to be using them again for some things.

I called at approx 1:30 and talked with Eldon. I had left a sponge in my hot tub(spa) and when I turned it on it was sucked into the filter. About half an hour later Eldon was hear and found the clog and fixed it right up. He was very professional as well as knowledgeable. I had called the store where I purchased the spa on Monday as well as on Tuesday and had not heard back from them. After reading all the reports on Super Handyman I decided to give them a call. It was the best decision I have made in a long time.

We bought a house with an in-ground pool, and it was empty when we moved in. The pool accumulated about a foot of leaves and debris soaking in the deep end, and we had no idea what to do with it. Super Handyman came out to evaluate the problem, and got our pool closed so we will not have to worry about it all winter. They saved our pool and secured it for the winter, and saved us a lot of stress! He was extremely punctual and professional, and they worked very quickly. The price was really reasonable, and he explained everything he was doing fully so we could understand. He made us feel confident about opening the pool in the spring, and we will certainly be calling him in April to help us out again!
