Description of Work: Framed/dry-wall new room and half bath in basement, installed 4 new custom windows, plumbed new bathroom and ran electrical for both rooms | |Steve was a super nice guy and he and his team were basically in and out in 1 week. He completed the job I asked, and used only the best materials. The only complaint I would have is that we never went over final review of the room and perhaps would have changed a few items along the way

Description of Work: Steve Schaefer provided an estimate on Friday,6/12/15 of $500 to build & paint new wooden patio door, build and stain a new gate to my wooden privacy fence & repair any wooden slabs around the fence as needed. Work was promised to be completed on Monday 6/15 or Tuesday 6/16. After numerous calls between Steve & me, the work was done on 6/23. They failed to remove all the old lock on the patio from the old door. They didn't attach a sweep at the bottom of the new screen door even though the old one had a sweep to cover the gap at the bottom. They didn't build a new wooden gate but instead patched up the old one. They did replace 2 slabls with new ones but failed to match the existing stain horribly. They were supposed to call me while they were still working at my house but they didn't so I didn't know that they had already been there. They marked on the invoice that I should mail in the balance of $200. It was only after complaining to Steve Schaefer did he say I didn't owe the $200. Steve said he would come back today 6/24 to rectify the things I was dissatisfied about. We'll see if that happens. This was not a good experience at all. Steve blamed the rainy weather for the delay but it wasn't raining 24hrs a day everyday. Steve and his crew need to know about working evenings or weekends to get the job done.

Description of Work: The rafters and part of the frame of the roof were rotted due to a leaky chimney. They arrived to provide a quote and after agreeing to the work, came back the next day to replace the wood. Very quick response and very quick work (needed since I was in the middle of having the roof replaced). Very happy with Steven.

Description of Work: Steve Schaefer of Schaefer Improvements replaced our garbage disposal and got the dishwasher functional again, bought and hung shelving, repaired a toilet, ran duct from furance to garage for heat and a/c, insulated our garage door (big difference), and assembled two bath cabinets then hung them for me, and assembled a piece of exercise equipment. Steve repaired leaky outdoor faucet. He actually returned items to Menards that I'd bought that weren't exactly what I needed. He's been punctual and calls me to be reaffirm the time he is expected to arrive. he is available when I need him, works quickly, is personable and does a good job. I

Description of Work: Posts were sunk in cement. Fencing attached. Angled property to avoid water cover. Beautiful appearance ! I am well Pleased !

Description of Work: They did a full remodel on our bathroom. They installed a new tub and walls. He repaired the leaks in the plumbing system and then repaired the ceilings in some rooms downstairs due to the water damage.

Description of Work: Schaefer Improvements built a 38 foot long deck from scratch and fixed trim in my home. He was very professional and completed the entire project quickly and professionally.
