Schaefer Improvements

These guys were awesome! Showed up on time. Worked as fast as they could (service was for a three hour Big Deal) and completed more work than I thought they would. They even stayed for an additional hour and did not charge for it. They have absolutely earned my business in the future.

Steve and his staff were friendly came, came to do an estimate then completed the project two days later. He provided supplies such as the vinyl siding and colored matched to our current color. He was very detailed in explaining the process/plan of his work to us prior to completing. All of the work was completed in a timely manner and looked great! I plan to hire him in the future.

Wonderful. He showed up on time. Installed a door. The door works great. Easy to open and easy to close. Looks great.

He did an excellent job and I intend on having him back. He was reasonable, very good, and efficient. He was good at work around my schedule.

I purchased the Angies List Big Deal for 3 hours of Handyman Service provided by Steve Schaefer and left a message for Steve. The big constraint for me was the the timeframe to respond to a home inspection list before the sale closing date. Steve was very responsive and understanding to scheduling and fit me in which made for a late night for Steve. Steve made the evaluation and repair and I was able to close as scheduled. Steve was a pleasure to work with professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and especially accommodating. I would definitely utilize Steve's services in the future.

Mr. Schaefer came out to our home after a one day notice to repair a hole in our upstairs bathroom drywall and repair a piece of missing soffit. He was on time, very friendly and professional. He completed the job quickly and efficiently and we would hire him again.

Steve was professional, gregarious, intent on doing a quality job. Perfecto!

Mr. Schaefer gave me several options and prices to replace the floor in my storage shed. I didn't want to spend a lot of money considering I may replace the entire shed next summer but wanted to make sure the shed was usable until then. Prior to laying the floor he installed material that would keep the moisture out and he used pre-treated wood to prevent the floor from rotting again. I was told that was not done with the original installation. I was pleased with the results, the floor was sturdy and didn't move as you walked across.

Great. Steve moved everything out of the room himself, laid the flooring and replaced everything. This was done in a timely manner.

This was an "Angie's List Big Deal" for 2 hours of service. Steve arrived on time and was ready to address the projects on my to-do list. While I could do many of the projects myself, Steve did them within a fraction of the time it would have taken me to do (hence, the advantage of having a competent, engaged, and fast paced handyman do the job!). I am amazed with how much was accomplished, and done well, in 2 hours. In addition, Steve has a great personality. I will hire him again in the future.

Steve showed up on a Friday afternoon and started working immediately, noticed that our window seal was not level so he removed it and installed the tile all the way up to the window and then replaced it correctly. He was very professional and did an amazing job. He cam back the next day and did the grout, this was a very messy process but steve cleaned everything with a sponge when he was finished and made sure that everything was just as it was when he arrived prior to departing.This is one of the best contractors that I have ever used and will definitely use him again!

I purchased a Big Deal with Mr. Schaefer and he had all of my items completed within the designated timeframe....I'm so pleased. When we first spoke I had 4 things for him and we scheduled an appointment after the holiday. By the time he arrived I had found additional needs and he was able to complete them all. The communication was open and frequent and the job done to my expectiations. I will definitely use his service again.

This company did a GREAT job! All of the five upstairs windows and the large bay window downstairs were removed from the house and then replaced with the new ones. The whole job was done very professionally and I was very impressed with the quality of work done by these guys! The windows were a perfect match for the windows and they look like they came with the house! (No gaps, no odd spaces, etc).The windows actually open and close now! I'm very pleased.I should note that Steve Schaefer came out a few weeks prior and did all of the measuring, and gave me a very accuarate estimate of the work to be done. The cost of the work was exactly what the estimate said it would be. Once they finished with the window install, they cleaned up and vacuumed the floor and carpets, put things back in place and showed me how to work my new windows. I will DEFINITELY use these guys again! (the windows on the BACK of the house will be my next big ticket item)Thanks Shaefer Improvements!

I purchased an Angie's list "big deal" for 2 hours of handyman services. Steve came out and gave me estimates for other work as well. He was very friendly, honest and knowledgeable. Not only did he do a fabulous job, he was timely, trustworthy ,and reliable. My list of " things to do" has grown and I have hired him to come back and do additional work. It is so nice to find someone who does quality work and is honest and reliable. I am a new member to Angie's list and it was a great decision to join.

Steven came out and inspected the job, and gave us an idea of how much of each tile was needed. Then, he scheduled our appointment for the following week, giving us time to have all the tiles delivered. Steven performed the work over a two-day period. I was awestruck when I first saw the tile. He did an amazing job, and I'm so thankful I chose him to do it. I will definitely use his services again.

Steve Schaefer was awesome. I recently moved and did not have time to get everything hung up and put together around the house. In a matter of 2 hours he had it all done. All of this would have taken me all day (if not more) to accomplish. It was a huge help. He was early, brought all of his own tools and was able to get everything done. He friendly demeanor, great attitude and is hard working. I would definitely use him again and have already told friends about him. It is well worth the money for the assistance he provides. He has the ability to do a lot more than what I used him for!

Steve returned my first phone call immediately and was able to make an appointment to complete the work within a week. He was very personable and did a great job. I would rehire him for future projects and recommend him to others.

After doing a great job when I purchased a "big deal" I called Steve to come and take care of a few other items. He repaired some wood damage that my dogs had done and fixed a leaky toilet on the cheap. He is friendly, does great work, and really cares about giving his customers quality work for a good price. I will be calling Steve for all my home repair needs in the future.

Steve was on time and very helpful. He went out of his way to help provide me information on another job I was looking to have him do. He also did a great job of hanging my two doors. I would use him again.

Whenever I call Steve, and if he isn't available immediately, he gets back to me immediately. Even has come over for emergencies within a very reasonable time. Anything I need done he has completed for me at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend his services.

Steve is great. He previously built closets for us in our laundry room, so we already knew the quality of his work. For this project, he worked 2 half-days, on a Friday and Saturday morning, to fit our work schedules. Steve is very easy to work with and clearly takes pride in doing the job right. We gave him the tile sample that we wanted, and he went out and bought all of the product needed for the job. While he was working on the backsplash, I also asked him to look at our banister which was pulling away from the wall. When he returned Saturday morning, he not only finished the tile job, but brought the tools to fix the banister as well. He is a good guy, does good work, and we will continue using him for our home projects.

Mr. Schaefer was able to work me in two days after my estimate. His price was very fair and he did great work.
