They showed up on time, were professional, and effecient.

Nailed some loose siding, minor deck repair, work on an exterior door. The work was done quickly and efficiently.

they arrived on time (in fact, a little early) and started right away. it took longer than we had allotted, but they stayed through the end of the task and even returned when there was a problem right away. they were both very polite. I did have to pay more than the special I had bought, but I felt the price was fair given all they did.

I had two men for 2 hours, and they were able to do all the the repairs. Steve contacted me before-hand to go over the work that I needed done, and we came up with the list of supplies that I would need for the job. I purchased all of the supplies ahead of time. His crew was knowledgeable and professional and able to resolve small problems as they occurred. I would recommend them. The cost was very reasonable, but I don't have the price on hand to verify. Responsiveness was rated a B due to problem unrelated to Schaefer Improvements. His special was a great price, so I had to be patient for the work to be scheduled. It was completed within 6 weeks of purchase. I plan to use them again at their regular price.

That work was very well done. They came on time and finished the work. I left them here alone because I had to leave, and they did very nicely while I was gone. When I came back, the work was done and they cleaned up everything, took away all the old wood. I was so happy with that. I got my money's worth, for sure.

It went well. I had a follow up request and Stephen had it taken care of the next day.

Mr. Schaefer and an assistant arrived on time. Was pleasant to work with- friendly and helpful. They looked for things to help me with as this was a HandyMan Angies List Big Deal. The fan he put up is level and functions great. He knew what he was doing and the things he worked on are still working fine!

They were very professional and efficient. Two men split the repairs and finished in a very timely basis. They were a little late in arriving, but did keep us updated on the status.

The two gentlemen arrived on time. I went over what I needed done and they went to work. I had them install trim in a bedroom. They did a wonderful job and cleaned everything up before they left. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone needing any work done in their home.

I was told by Stephen Schaefer that I was scheduled for around 1:00. I did not get a phone call until around 1:30 that they were coming. I commented that I was told that they would be there around 1:00. Dustin told me that they always schedule between 1 and 3. This was not communicated to me. Also, I was not told that Stephen Schaefer would not be there. They did most things on the list but I did not feel it was 8 hrs of work. They also, took my left over trim casing that I could have reused for another project. Dustin was stuck on the 1-3 time thing and brought it back up as he was leaving. But they did not ask me if I wanted to keep the casement. He also told me that they usually charge extra for clean-up.

They set up an initial visit to determine what equipment they would need to perform the job. The installation of the entry light in the foyer was a challenge because the ceiling height is about 17 feet and the foyer is fairly narrow. They set up a date (a few days later) to install the ceiling fan and the entry light. They arrived on time and Steven and his associate were able to get both jobs done in a little over an hour. I was impresses with how smoothly the job went and how important it was to Steven and his staff that I was satisfied with their work. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs some work done around their house.

Great. They were about 25 minutes late but they called and told me that they would be late. Very pleasant. Cleaned up after themselves. Very good quality of work. I have used this company before and highly recommend it. It was an Angie's List Big Deal and I purchased 2 of the deals. It turned out great. The scheduling was easy. They actually called me to schedule. They came and did the work I asked them to do. They cleaned up everything. They were very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions I asked. I would recommend them.

Steve Schaefer explained exactly what would be done, about how long it would take, and called the night before to be sure we were ready for his services. His employees were very polite and hardworking. The work was completely in a quality manner. I would definitely use them again for home improvements.

Bought prepaid advertisement an have reached out to provider numerous times, but have not heard back. If we don't get this scheduled by end of the week, we need a full refund.

They were here on time. They did the job well and so it all worked out fine. Actually I bought two deal and it did come out to little bit more just because they were here little bit longer than four hours, eight hours total and there are two guys here and I think I spend another $30. I would use them again in the future.

They showed up on schedule and removed the old damaged siding, then replaced it with quality sheets (and primed the pieces before installation). They also removed and replaced trim boards around the house and primed them as well. In addition they carried a wooden armour from our upstairs to our downstairs for us. All three gentlemen were courteous and really hard workers. We have hired Steve previously and will continue to do so in the future. Schaefer Improvements is at the top of my list for many future handyman projects.

The job was very well done. The new floor of the cabinet looks great. Steve answered all my questions and made suggestions for future projects that I discussed with him. I felt like the needed repairs were effectively and efficiently handled.

I have used this company before and everything always turns out great. My initial contact with Steve is always pleasant and he is very knowledgeable. I explained to him what I needed done and he was able to walk me through everything in detail. He installed my faucet under my kitchen sink while replacing my old garbage disposal. He water tested everything making sure the pipes were sealed from leaks. He also cleaned up very well. I will recommend this company to anyone!

This was over a year ago. I remember he was very prompt, professional and reasonable. I don't remember the cost.

Our cupola's base was rotted and it was teetering on the roof of our garage. We were fearful it was going to come tumbling down before we would be able to find someone who would be able to assess / repair / remove it! Monday - I called Schaefer Improvements on Monday (along with 3 other companies on Angie's List) and left an urgent message about this problem and how quickly we needed to have someone out to help us. Steve (business owner) called me back within a couple of hours to gather more details so that he would be better able to determine what he may be able to do to help! Steve confirmed that he would have someone out ASAP - the next day - and they would be equipped to handle the job! Tuesday AM - Steve called to let me know his guys - Dustin & Will - were on the way as promised. The crew arrived and introduced themselves to me and began getting themselves organized for the job ahead. They climbed up and determined that the size and weight along with the rotted condition of the cupola made it necessary to remove the unit. They explained to me that the unit was beyond repair and the solution would be to remove it and replace all the shingles to ensure all areas securing the cupola to the roof be re-shingled / tarred. Since I had matching shingles, the materials that Schaefer Improvements procured were only some coping and a tube of tar sealant which all totaled approximately $30. It was hot and sunny and not much of any breeze to help while Dustin & Will worked on the roof for about an hour or so - no complaints - diligently working the patches to ensure all was sealed well! In their travels they noticed a spot where some additional tar was needed to repair a shingle that looked like it may have been torn by some previous roof traffic - all sealed up now! The crew cleaned up well - vacuum, blower, waste removal, checked for nails on driveway and in lawn - excellent care for everything. I can't thank Schaefer Improvements, Steve, Dustin & Will enough for their quick response, professionalism, courteous manner and the peace of mind they have left behind! We are extremely impressed with the concern they demonstrated for the urgency of the situation and the quick resolution without a small fortune having to be spent! I will be calling Schaefer Improvements first going forward for any contract work that I am considering in the future, but would encourage others to go ahead and experience tremendous service for themselves!
