Schaefer Improvements

Description of Work: I talked to Steve before he arrived, he wanted a run down the the jobs I needed to be accomplished. 2 windows needed the glass replaced, we had the glass. Kitchen faucet replaced, I had the faucet. Small area of kitched ceiling textured to match the existing ceiling. The windows were replaced but he didn't clean up after himself and the caulking was messy around the window when finished. The faucet was replaced and he did help with a missing part, along with bad lines underneath. He did clean up most of the mess in the kitchen. He wasn't able to texture the ceiling to match the existing pattern, so it was not finished. When working on the ceiling, he didn't put down a drop cloth and my husband had to clean up the floor and remove the bit that dried on the wood floor.

Description of Work: They laid down 12x12tiles in our kitchen. They did a good job and cleaned up very well when they were done.

Description of Work: Steve replaced three doors and gave me an estimate for future work on both bathrooms. I was very pleased with his work. He was very professional, showed up on time, and cleaned up after himself. I would highly recommend using him for your handyman needs. I plan on having him come back after the holidays to do.

Description of Work: He replaced my kitchen faucet with a newer style, hung a curtain rod in the bedroom, replaced the front door lock & deadbolt, did some caulking around the sinks. He finished sooner than the 3 hours/$99, so he said that he would owe me 45 minutes of work. Hopefully, he will honor his promise. I will contact you if he doesn't.

Description of Work: I used them for caulking and other misc work. I had to move one sofa bed to another room and it was very difficult but them managed to bring it in after lot of effort. I will highly recommend them.

Description of Work: After the tricky installation of a microwave in which Mr. Schaefer used his ingenuity we were suffiently impressed with his competence and reasonable prices to get a quote and finally an installation on a new roof and gutters. Since then he has also installed a picture window in our family room. We are also awaiting his services to remove old kitchen counters and a new faucet installation when the new counters arrive. On these last two jobs his price is about $200 cheaper than the big box store from which we are purchasing the kitchen counters. Mr. Schaefer is cheerfully energetic and knowledgable from his years of experience in the building industry. He provided attention to detail and useful suggestions for alternative solutions. We were never frustrated waiting for him to return our call. Most importantly in addition to his fair prices he provided what we value most - good workmanship.

Description of Work: I bought 2 coupons and hired him to lay a laminate floor. He and his helper showed up right on time and immediately got to work. They laid the floor (with a few tricky spots) very efficiently. It looks great. Before he left I had him give me an estimate to redo my laundry room. It will be the next project.

Description of Work: Sorry, it's been awhile since the service. It was through an offer you provided. I had him do some handyman work. He was in a big hurry. Asked him to wash my windows outside. He had to come back and redo them because they were horribly smeared. He was to get back with me at another time and I never heard from him. I feel that he was overwhelmed by the response from the coupon.

Description of Work: I bought the 2 hours of handyman service for $69 on Sunday and he was at my house on the following Tuesday. We had him install 2 ceiling fans and an office light. Though they were all prewired, the service was performed professionally and timely. We wrere very happy with his responsiveness and professionalism. Highly recommmeded.
