We are extremely pleased with Rod's service and the quality of the work. He was very quick to respond for the estimate and his workers were very courteous, quick and tidied up when they were done. Rod provided extras to help reinforce the quality and longevity of the job--rebar, smaller sections to prevent it from eroding and cracking again. The price was competitive with other bids.

Started exactly when Rod said they would and finished this big job in a week. Tear out was carefully done. They worked closely with the lighting contractor to allow concrete embedded 6"x9" lights to be placed after forms were set and before concrete was poured. Stamping and joints were well done. The end result is spectacular! The price was very reasonable, the team was excellent (and very friendly) and the quality excellent. Rod is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Rod's Quality Concrete.

Called for a quote on replacing my concrete front steps and walkway. Kevin came out to my home that afternoon to provide me with a quote to tear out the old concrete, haul it away, and pour new steps. Rod's quote was competivie so I called to schedule the work. Their crew was at my home within the week. The old concrete was torn out in the morning and the new steps and walkway were poured in the afternoon. The steps look great! The site was cleaned up and they reinstalled the brick paver edging so the walkway looks exactly like it was before they started the job.

I received initial contact within a few minutes after posting a question to the provider on this site, asking for me to call to discuss. I called the next working day and setup an appointment time to review the scope of the project. The provider failed to show to the appointment, nor did he call to inform me why he needed to cancel. The next day another person from the provider's team called wanting to setup an appointment. I told him that they missed the scheduled appointment. He said he was never informed this had been setup. So I thought there was just a miscommunication between some of their team. So I setup another appointment with this person. They then missed the second appointment and again never called to tell me why, or reschedule. I have not heard from them since.

On Wednesday March 25th I contacted Rod's Quality Concrete asking for someone to come out and quote me a job for a simple 16X12 patio slab. I made it clear that I didn't need it done TOMORROW but that I was ready to have it done at first availability. The next morning at 6:15am I get a TEXT from "Kevin at Rod's Quality Concrete" asking me for my address. 6:15 am is a little early to be professional in my opinion, but none the less I was being contacted promptly. I gave Kevin my address and he said he would be out to take a look. Later that evening, I had not heard word and did not have any paperwork left, so I contacted Kevin again asking if he was able to come take a look. He responded that he was not able to make it out and asked if tomorrow (Friday March 27th) would be ok? I told him that would be fine, that I would make sure someone was there to meet him. Kevin never showed, never notified me. Today is April 3rd, a week later, and I am still yet to hear from anyone. Needless to say, this is poor customer service, and a big waste of my time. I cannot recommend this company to anyone else.

While in the area, Rod's used extra cement from another job near by. The men came in quickly, leveled the bed and poured the ccement. They provided a very nice finish and sloped it to prevent any water that might get in the garage. If we do any more cement work we will call Rod again

My wife and I are blown away at the fantastic job that Rod Vore and his team did. They met and exceeded expectations throughout the process. I feel I got the highest quality product at the most competitive price. Rod works with you personally to ensure you're happy with the job and is amenable to on-the-fly changes if needed. He communicated well with me, and his team came through exactly as promised. He went above and beyond to make this a showcase project. But every other job I've seen done by this company looks wonderful anyways! His crewman Kenny couldn't be nicer and helped me communicate when my Spanish wouldn't suffice. Foreman Walter is an absolute artist and perfectionist. Everybody on the crew was polite and professional and worked hard, quickly, and were thorough. What we ended up with looks even nicer than I imagined and is a true improvement to our home. I feel this was worth every penny. This was the best experience I've had with a contractor and I'm really happy I chose Rod's. I will recommend their services to anyone asking. Rod, the owner, answered the phone on the first try and scheduled immediately to come out and provide me with an estimate. I wanted an estimate for 2 exposed aggregate patios totaling 400 sq ft. Also included in the quote was an estimate to replace the concrete at the entrance to my garage that is starting to chip due to snow and ice. Rod was clearly my second choice as a contractor. I selected another contractor based on the fact that a friend had used him before. If I didn't have that reference, I would have selected Rod for the job. He was punctual, answered his phone, and provided the estimate on site and followed up with it in writing. There is nothing he could have done better. Just went with someone else based on a recommendation.

Great. The owner had a health problem that delayed the work but that is understandable.

Rod and team were wonderful. They did an excellent job and were very professional.

Despite some initial miscommunication, Rod's crew followed through and honored his original quote on removal of three piles of concrete (two small, one very large) and contractor bags at a rehab property I own. Crew was easy-going and pleasant to work with. They had to make two trips to remove it all, but it looked great after. Very thorough. Would definitely use again.

We had removed an old rotted wooden deck and were wanting new concrete as a replacement for the entry into our house. Jeff came out the next day after I called and took a look at the site. We talked about what was there before and the fact the the posts were still in the ground from the old deck. I asked for two quotes for one with them removing the posts and the other with them not removing them plus the concrete form and pour. Jeff got me a quote the next day via text. After a few days we decided to go with Rod's and I let them know. They were out the next day to start on the work. Took a total of two days, one to prep the area with the forms and the other for the actual pour. The crew was very nice and professional. Jeff was great to work with as well. Will definitely be on my list for more concrete work if we need it.

We were pleased with Rod and his crew: brother Kevin, Alfredo and Papa Jose. They are hard working and meticulous. They take pride in their work and enjoy doing a quality job. They consulted with us and made recommendations for outcomes that were practical and aesthetically pleasing. We are already seeking to schedule another project with them.

I was happy with what they did and the only dispute I would have with the company was the agreement I had with the guy was not clear and the people who came over were Mexicans and there was a little bit of speech problem but I would hire them again because they have done a good job. I have no complaints with what they did in they did drive way.

I would never use nor recommend Rods Quality Concrete to anyone.We asked Jeff, the contractor, what guarantees they offered and he said the concrete would not crack and if it did, they would make it right. They poured a back patio for us and it cracked the next day. We called both Jeff and Rod and niether one of them would do anything about it. Once they got their money, they were gone and they did not stand by their word. They also charged us more than what they quoted because they said they did not order enough concrete. They had to come back on another day in order to finish the job. Very bad experience, Rod has no idea what customer satisfaction means, its all about his pocket!!!!!

Rod and his crew tore out our old crumbling asphalt driveway and installed a new one with exposed aggregate. They also repaired of the steps leading up to the front door (already exposed aggregate) and the new nearly matches the old. My husband is EXTREMELY PICKY.....almost pathologically so. Most other contractors would've stopped returning our calls before ever getting started because we had so many questions. We are thrilled with the result. The crew was punctual and professional. They cleaned up after themselves. We were well informed about every step of the process. Highly recommend this provider.

Rod came out and took a look, had some ideas, and asked me to email him my email address and he'd return the estimate. I emailed, as requested. After several days I received an email from his daughter saying he had a medical event and there would be a delay. No problem, of course! A few days later she offered to send someone else, or I could wait for Rod. I opted to let him recover and waited a few weeks (when she said he would be back). I emailed and called and there was no response. We tabled the project for the summer and circled back to it at the end of August. I called the business number, got voicemail and left a message. From the more recent reviews, I assume they're still in business. I haven't received a response a few weeks later and have given up. I liked the work shown on their online gallery and he seemed to have great ideas but obviously the work isn't going to be done. I have moved on.

I called and sent an email to get an estimate for replacing my front walk. I still haven't heard anything. I would think that even if they couldn't fit in my job they would at least contact me and let me know they did not want my business.

The estimate was provided promptly as a text message - just the price. At my insistence they emailed me the price and square footage but no other details. Communicating was difficult. The email address from which the estimate was sent wasn't from the company and wouldn't accept return emails. Phone messages were sometimes returned weeks or months later, long after I had moved on (and told them so). Twice the estimator called me but didn't seem to know which customer he was calling. The price was 40% higher than the next estimate, apparently because of the square footage. I asked them if they were sure of their number because it was so far off and they assured me they were right (without double checking). Meanwhile I measured the area myself and concluded the other company was correct. I realize my experience is atypical based on other reviews. Based on those reviews and the amount of work they do in my neighborhood I was frankly surprised at my experience but there it is.

The estimate process was fine. I contacted three companies and Rod’s was in the middle.

Our driveway is short, but wide. So we got an interesting range of quotes. We went with Rod because the reviews on the List were good, and we had several personal recommendations. We were in queue for replacement, but when an unexpected trip came up, Rod fit us in for demolition the very next day when I explained our situation. The anticipated rain held off, and the driveway was poured the day after demo. Hurray! Very pleased with the quality and the care the workers took working around my garden beds. Only complaint was that the demo guy left the Bobcat at the end of the driveway over the weekend. It didn't bother us since we couldn't use the driveway, but I know it annoyed some of the neighbors.
