Description of Work: they put in a concrete patio. There was a little misunderstanding about placement but they made it right. The only thing I wasn't totally happy with was the coloring of the concrete was not uniform. I'm not sure what caused that but I did not pursue it

Description of Work: Rod's crew tore out and replaced a badly damaged concrete floor in my 2-car garage -- shoring up the wooden base to the garage as well ($3500). They completed the tear out, removal of debris, pouring & finishing of the concrete within a single day. The crew also tore out, removed debris, poured new concrete & finished the surface of my front driveway. Weather interfered, otherwise the crew would have completed this job within 48 hours. Rod & Kevin were very helpful assessing the project & clarifying what was needed, how the job would be completed and when. The crew were all diligent & hard working -- all polite, courteous, and very conscientious. I recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Owners personally interacted with me regarding scoping out job and even offered up ways to minimize cost (e.g. only replace sections of my driveway that were cracked and perserve the areas that were still intact). The crew that conducted the work were very professional as well and perserved the grass along the driveway such that they were able to lay it back done so I would not have to plant new grass. Overall the interaction with Rod's Concrete was "easy"!

Description of Work: Replaced blacktop driveway with concrete. They showed up when scheduled and performed work as contracted. Really liked the owners and installers. Very professional. Have had subsequent cracking, but owners came right out and agreed to repair it as required. It will be repaired when the weather gets warmer.

The only communication was when WE called them, they never took the initiative to provide an update as to when they might work us in. Description of Work: We scheduled Rod to provide an estimate on a home we were buying a week and a half before our inspection. I called the week of to confirm our appointment with him and gave a 3 hour block of time that would work and he said that would be fine. The day of the appt he did not arrive. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact him by phone I sent a text and he replied that he couldn't make it and asked to reschedule. I was disappointed given the high ratings he's had..

Description of Work: Great experience, great job. All the neighbors are jealous. Replaced our old concrete driveway, sidewalk from driveway to front porch, and the front porch. Whole job took approximately two weeks with several days delay due to rain, plus time to allow for concrete to dry. Had great suggestions which we incorporated into the project. Will not hesitate to recommend him with out any reservations.

Description of Work: I emailed Rod on March 21, 2013, from Angie's list and have not heard anything as of today.(April 5, 2013) I wanted my driveway concrete removed and replaced. I will look for another contractor on Angie's list to do the work.

Description of Work: I live on a private drive with 8 other residents. We own the street and it was in major need of repair. After showing Rod's bid and what he would do to repair the street all 9 of the residents agreed that Rod was the man to do the job. All 9 residents were extremely, EXTREMELY pleased with the job that Rod and his crew did on our street. Quick, efficient, always keeping us informed about what was going to take place, fair, and last but not least enjoyable to have around! His crew was always polite, and very efficient. The final product looks fabulous and a few on the street who needed their driveway repaired hired Rod to complete the task. I highly recommend Rod's Quality Concrete for any job, and this one was a doozy! WELL done, ROD!!

Description of Work: We need to have some work done to replace some crumbling sidewalk and stairs for our front porch. After looking on Angie's List we called 3 contractors for estimates. All of the estimates came in at approximately the same cost (~$2300). Since the work will require us to not be in our house (both entrances to our house need to be redone) we went with Rod because he said that he could do the work this weekend. My husband has called Rod 3 times and each time he has had to remind Rod who we are and what the project is. We were a little concerned with his disorganization but we figured that as long as he did quality concrete work it would be ok. My husband called yesterday to verify that they would begin the work this Saturday and Rod once again didn't remember who we were, when the work was scheduled, and then informed us that he wouldn't be able to complete the work this weekend. At this point we have no confidence in his ability to complete the project and have chosen to go another direction. After my interactions with this company I honestly cannot believe that his ratings are as high as they are.

Description of Work: I'm collecting bids for a group rate on driveways for my HOA. Rod lost the list of homeonwers three times, missed the deadline for getting bids in, & after extending my deadline FOUR times still failed to follow through. He gave bids to homeowners on the list and did not submit them to me so I could coordinate the project. I asked for very clear specs, but homeowners showed me his bids, which gave no specs. Without specs I would be unable to compare the bids. Since he started giving bids but didn't finish them there was no way to include him in the bidding process. I have the sense he's trying to go around me to get the work without having his bids reviewed and compare with other contractors. By extending my deadlines for him I feel like I've let my HOA down.

Description of Work: I called Rod for an estimate for a very large and complex driveway re-do project. I wanted some ideas and suggestions since this is a 3000 sq ft driveway. Rod was very polite, prompt, and courteous around my wife and children. He took time to explain options and problem solved with me based on my desires and knowledge of what led to my existing problems. If I decide to move forward with these ideas, he would definitely be my pick to do the job. Bottom line: he loves his work and it shows.

Description of Work: Rod would return my calls and make an appointment and never show. This happened 4 times. When I'd call him to see where he was he'd say sorry and I'd just have to keep on him, he'd get to it. REALLY !

Description of Work: Gave contractor several choices of when to meet for an estimate. He picked one and did not call and did not show. Wasted an hour of my time.
