Rod's Quality Concrete Inc

Rod came to bid the job as arranged. He agreed to power wash and seal the driveway on 9/3/2012. He failed to show up to do the work and did not contact me as to why he wasn't coming. I phoned him 9/4/2012 he said he was sorry. I told him I will be using someone else and that he need not come to do the work.

Rod came to our home and gave us an estimate for the job. We accepted and made a date for the work to begin. Weather interfered with the start date but the crew came at the next agreed upon start date. The workers were very professional and hard working. The job was completed in two days. It all looked wonderful and made the front of our home look so great. We were very pleased with the outcome of the job and would use Rod's company again for future work.

I talked to Rod about an estimate on Friday. He said that he would come out on Monday evening but if possible might try to come over the weekend. Monday evening he called and said he was running late, but was still trying to come. He never showed up on Monday. I called him back later in the week and left a message and there has been no response.

Crew arrived at 7:30 AM and immediately began removing old concrete from my premises and placing plastic over the front door/windows/and plants. They dug out the area for the new concrete to be laid forming a foundation. They smoothed and leveled the area for the new concrete to be poured. About noon the new concrete was poured and the crew immediately began smoothing/leveling and /designed it to my specifications. Concrete rodsl were installed inside the concrete and to the house foundation for future dependability and to prevent cracks from developing. They even applied sealent to cement. At 5:00PM the crew began cleaning up the work site. Property was sweeped, plastic removed, even small pieces of concrete were picked up, Old concrete slabs were removed and hauled away. Garage, walk-way, and driveway were hosed off and sweeped. About 9:00 PM the crew finished and went home.. Owner (Rod Vore) came by twice to check crews work and the statusof the job during the day. Impressed with his concern that I was pleased. Rod provides free estimates.

Got the contact from your list. From the initial conversation to the completion of his work Rod was outstanding. He will follow up in a couple weeks to put on coating. His team was hard working and very friendly. He has a good relationship with people he works with. Rod explained the steps of the process and provided oversight as the day progressed. Needless to say we were very pleased with his excellent work and professionalism. I believe is the best contractor we have had over the last 30 years at this house. We wish him well in his business.

We were pleased with the overall result, even though there were a few snags along the way. Rod's crew was hard-working, and were willing to fix any errors made. The end result was a smooth and professional-looking concrete job.

It went well. They came and did the work when they said they would, for the quoted price. The end result is beautiful.

We were very happy with the service. They are always on time and they communicate well. He is focused on making his customer happy. We had a small crack as it was drying. He worked with us on that and got it resolved with no problem. They do very quality work. Definitely someone you can trust.

From the first meeting to the finished job working with Rod was very easy. All projects should go this well. I realize this was a simple project; however, what made it go so well was the fact that the men doing the work realized that a little extra work was needed ( the first step step was too high, so they needed to add another step). No problem -- they just did the job right. To top it off, they did not change the price.Excellent quality at a fair price!

Everything went smoothly. The men did excellent work. They exceeded my expectations. Rod was very receptive to my ideas and his guys listened to what I wanted and made it work. This is the second time that I've used him and his guys and I must say I would only use him for pouring a driveway or patio. 2 years ago I had a $10,000 driveway poured and it went off without a hitch and this job was pretty much the same. This time I didn't even bother getting other estimates because I trusted Rod and his men.

A great experience with Rod.I called Rod to explain the job and request an estimate. He came by my house as scheduled, three days later and I explained the job and showed him the job location. He provided a detailed written estimate and gave me adate that he could do the work. He was book out about one month. After getting two other estimates during the next several days I call Rod and set up the work for the date he had quoted. Rods estimate was the lowest and I liked his professionalism.Rod did my third lane project in two half days. On 6/7/12 he and his crew came out and removed the soil,installed the stone base material and added the reinforceing materials as well as the concrete forms. This took about four hoursto accomplish. Quick and professional. The next day on 6/8/12 they arrived on time again and compleated the job.The concrete truck arrived the concrete was poured, leveled, tooled and surfaced in a flash. A sealer was applied to help the concrect to properly cure and help prevent salt damage in the winter. The concrete forms were removed andthe work area was cleaned and all the equipment was loaded. This all happened in about four hours. Rod was availableand on the job sight the entire time. I highly recomend Rod's Concrete.

Rod gave me a fair estimate on the entire job and I selected his company over a higher priced competitor. Another contractor came out but never provided an estimate and the 4th company I contacted said they were too busy. Initial start date was moved sooner which made me happy. His crew showed up early and worked long, hard and fast and did an excellent job. They were also very polite. Changes orders were quickly adapted. No one complained when my stupid dog got out and ran across the smooth wet patio forcing them to fix it. I realize that some folks are rigid about appointments, so I gave the company a B grade on punctuality.Although there was a delay here or there in this process, it was never long enough where I had to call them on it.I realize that contractors running multiple jobs are busy and I think people need to give them a little understanding on punctuality.The important thing is that they return my calls and Rod always did so promptly. What impressed me most was that when I ran into a problem area on my new drive, AFTER I HAD PAID, Rod recongnized it and ripped out the mistake and totally fixed it with no pressure from me, even though he had to take a hit on it. What professionalism! People love my new concrete and I get a ton of compliments. I offer a big thanks to Rod and his crew.

They were great and I give them an A rating on everything. I looked him up on Angie's List and he had good ratings so I decided to use him. Hopefully I wont have to use him again but I would if I had to.

Rod is a complete professional. He answered all my questions willingly and eagerly.

Rod and his employees were punctual and did a wonderful job at our house. They were pleasant and easy to work with. They were professional and cleaned up each day before they left. Throughout the job they asked us if we were pleased with the work or if we wanted to make any adjustments. We would hire them again and will recommend this company to friends.

Scheduled Rod to come out to give me an estimate on a patio. The appointment was set for today (5/12) at 2:00. It is now 3:40 and he has not shown or called. I called and left him a voicemail at 2:45 and have still heard nothing. Not a good way to start a business relationship.

We ultimately decided to go w/ an asphalt driveway and so we went w/ another company but I would recommend Rod's Quality Concrete.

Rod was supposed to be here at 2pm to give us an estimate for a patio. No phone call. No email. No text. No Show!!!When we called after waiting an hour we only got his VM. I don't understand how people can be in business and get good reviews when they are clearly not professional or communicate with their clients/prospects.Horrible service.

Rod responded very quickly to my initial call for an estimate of the work. He was at my house two mornings after my initial afternoon phone conversation with him. He arrived on time and was extremely personable. Rod listened to us about the work we would like done, and he made helpful suggestions to make the final product look better. This was especially helpful when it came to the stairs leading up to our back door. The existing stairs were falling apart and had become quite the eye sore. We told him that we would like something more decorative, but were not sure what. He suggested an exposed aggregate finish, which we liked extremely well. He also suggested widening the stairs in addition to evening up the rise for each step since the existing steps were not even. When it came to the driveway apron, Rod was very helpful as well with his description of what might look better. The existing apron, which is shared with a neighbor to the south, was crumbiling and below the street height such that rain would collect at the bottom of the apron and stick around for days after a rain. This was a nightmare during winter when ice puddles would collect at the bottom of the apron. Rod suggested putting horizon lines in the apron to match the original design which would have been used 100 years ago when the house was built. The fact that he even knew this was very impressive. Rod asked that I email him to get the estimate, and he responded with a quote the same day. We had to wait to have the work done in order for the weather to warm up so that it would not affect the final product. I appreciate that Rod did not rush us on the start date since we didn't want to run into future problems because of it. His quote was quite competitive with other estimates, and best of all he stuck to his original quote, no nickle and diming for additional expenses. His guys arrived on Friday, May 11 (the scheduled date) and poured the back stairs and the small walkway on the same day. They even ran my irrigation line for my flower beds under the new walkway so that it would be concealed (nice). Some guys came back the next day (Saturday) to hose off the chemicals to give the exposed aggregate look on the stairs. On Monday, his guys pressure washed and sealed our driveway as well as the new back stairs, and they installed the new driveway apron. Rod called me at about 1 PM on Monday to tell me that the job was done. Wow! I thought the whole job would take a week to complete, and his guys did it all in 2 days! And the final products were fantastic! I cannot stress how much we love the work that Rod and his crew did. Don't think twice about using Rod for any of your future concrete needs.

Rod gave us a few other ideas to think about and left us with an estimate. After discussion with my wife we decided to let Rod and his crew do the work. We liked his ideas and he came in under other estimates. After some rain delays we got the patio poured on 05/07. After some more weather issues the sealant was applied on 05/11. We are very pleased with the work Rod and his crew did. Everyone was professional and let us make small changes all the way up to the pour. I would not hesitate to use Rod's Quality Concrete again and would recommend him to others.

Rod showed up promptly to provide an estimate. We contacted three other companies for estimates. Two never provided an estimate, and the third company's estimate was much higher. We chose Rod to perform the work. Rod scheduled a date to perform the work. He and his team showed up promptly, and did an excellent job. They were professional, and cleaned up after themselves. I am VERY pleased, and will definitely contact Rod for any future work.

Excellent work. Rod took personal charge of the project. Started on time. Finished in 4 days. Cleaned up well. An overall excellent experience.
