The overall quality of the job was outstanding. I have an older brick home and it was quite a job to get the old window out, reconfigure the brick and install a door. The door looks great and I am happy with the job. Fritz the field foreman was awesome as well. He is very detail oriented and made sure I was happy with the work throughout his involvement in the project. Now on to the bad parts. It took nearly two months after I signed the contract to have the work done for the project to start. The sales person failed to turn my signed estimate into the office for two weeks causing a delay. Then the company was delayed further in their ordering of the needed materials to do the job. Along the way they had nothing but poor communication up until Fritz took over my project. I can say that Richmond's does great work, but, be prepared to deal with poor communication and long delays before your project starts.

It is in the end of being resolved but this is something that started in September 2012. It was partly because the claim took a bit to get in and there were issues with the cold weather which delayed the process by about three months as well. They were pretty backed up for the job because there was a lot of damage that had happened around here. The insurance company or I were not in any hurry. They found a problem that they technically don’t fix. They found an issue with a chimney cap that evidently could not be applied to the existing claim because it did not look like it was storm related. It looked like a cap that had rusted away over time. They informed me that they found a hole with critters in there and wanted me to get it fixed for which I had to get another company in. They did the job and were very patient in waiting for the final installment from the insurance company. It got a little messed up with my insurance company because they had to deal with the change in mortgage companies which changes the home insurers and who the payees on the cheque are. They made a cheque out and forgot that it was sold so it had to be sent back so I was going back and forth with this. They were not clamoring for the money and knew that it was coming; they knew that it was out of our hands. I am hoping that his process would be completed within the next couple of weeks because I think it has been sorted out. I am just waiting for the mortgage company to return the cheque so I can deposit the cheque and then pay them. The experience overall was dragged out and got caught up in bureaucracy from time to time. They were actually the ones that had put a new roof on in 2007 when it had incurred damage due to a storm back in the fall. I was happy with them before that when they had actually put gutters on as well so I called them back. They have done a very good job again. They actually made me aware of the chimney cap problem which I would not have an idea of if this process had not begun. The chimney cap is not considered to be a part of the roof but if they were not up there worried about my problems then the situation would have turned out to be much more expensive. The critter would have got into the chimney and would have cost me thousands of dollars. There was an issue with the siding but they collaborated with the insurance company and were able to come up a solution which basically allowed them to reside for the whole house. There was an issue with some material that was blocked in the back patio door and had to have a blower to get it out; they came and took care of it as well.

It was a total waste of time. Richmond Exteriors and Johnna Cade had ZERO respect for my time and in my opinion are very unprofessional given that they did not call or email with respect to the appointment.

Excellent. One man showed up and did an excellent job by himself. Very professional and would do business with them again.

They did a really good job and cleaned up really well. Their price was reasonable compared to every place else and I got $100 off for Angie's List coupon.

Old roof was tore off and new roof installed on or around Friday, December 14, 2012. After the crew left I inspected the finished job and discovered the flashing around the chimney had not been completed, it was loosely installed under the shingles and in some places at least 2-3 inches away from the chimney. This scenario would have caused some serious leaking if subjected to any amount of rain. It was scheduled to rain the next day. Calling Richmond, we were told that the flashing was done by another individual and that he would not be there for another week. The next day it rained and during the rain I wrapped the chimney with plastic and secured with duct tape. It stayed that way for at least three weeks before we finally got Richmond to complete the roofing job. The gutters and gutter guards were actually installed before the roof was completed. The gutter and gutter guards were installed with no problems and at a satisfactory level.

Employees were great to work with. They performed the work as contracted. They cleaned up the areas as they worked and hauled away all debris.

our roof was leaking in one part of our house and in our family roof a tree branch fell on the roof and put a hole in it which cause a big leak. We called Richmond Roofing and Mr. Dave gave us a estimate on fixing the roof. We were able to have our roof fix for the main house and then the remaining roof which the branch fell on about two weeks later. The whole staff was very nice and made sure our roof was done and inspected by the supervior. We were please and had not have any problem since. Good job!

We asked for an estimate to replace a gutter downspout on the second elevation of our house as well as remove and replace some rotted siding. The estimate process went very smoothly and they were extremely timely. Our issue with the company is centered completely on their lack of communication, timeliness in the getting the job done and punctuality. We had to call them numerous times to even get them to show up after we paid our deposit. We called twice and emailed three times just to get on their schedule. When they finally came to do the work it was done very quickly and from what we can see it was done well. It just took WAY too long to get it done and they were VERY uncommunicative with us.

Then I waited. And waited. And finally called to see why no one had made an appointment to do the final measurement. I was told that the crew who could do the measurement was out of town. I was also told the person responsible for scheduling such measurement had been sick and so they were behind. I accepted that as an explaination and waited again. After another week passed I called again. I was told the crew that does the measurement was still in Louisville and couldn't get up here to Indianapolis to do the measurement. I decided to wait another week to see what would happen. After another week I called and talked with the sales manager who told me again that there was no one to do the final measurement. At that point I said that I wanted to cancel the order and I wanted my deposit check returned. Now more than a week has passed again and no check. I called and spoke with the "sales, installation and scheduling" department. The person on the phone obviously knew who I was as she told me she had the information on her desk and that I would get a check in a week as they only write checks on Friday. Only excuses from this company. Sick employees, out-of-town crew, and check only written on Friday. I would suggest that if someone wants an awning they find another company to provide it. This company is not capable even though they have a very good sales person (a really nice guy) who isn't backed up by the company he works for.

.The only hitch was a guy came to take final measurements to place the order. Sometime later another man called to take final measurements so they could order the windows. I initially thought he was calling to install the windows. I have no idea who the first guy was, but windows weren't ordered then.. It was the second guy who actually did the installation. After this everything went very smoothly.

The estimator showed up and provided a detailed estimate. That's the only thing that went well. It plummeted downhill from there.

They had a very good rating. They came and did the work for us. They did a good job. They were not pushy. They had a great showroom. We were able to go in and look at large samples of the roof and they explained everything. They stayed in touch by e-mail. They called us and they did the job in one day just as they said they would. It looks great. They found a little better roof decking that need a replacement. They called me about it. They told that it needed some aluminum wrap on, they called me about that and gave me prices. They did a great job. They have good prices. I would certainly use them again in the future.

When we signed the contract we were told we would be notified in two weeks to schedule an appointment. They never called me, so I had to call them. When I spoke with them I let them know that my deck had just been stained and I wanted the deck tarped off. He said that would be completely fine. When I got home from work on the day they were installing the roof, there was no tarp there. I then noticed that they were putting the wrong color shingles on my home. I called the company and talked to a supervisor who said that he would come out to the house. I then told the workers to immediately stop what they were doing. They supervisor then came out to my house and confirmed that it was the wrong color shingles. The workers confirmed this as well. The supervisor said that they would have to proceed with the project because if they didn't finished it and it rained then we would have bigger problems. They should have completed the project at 6pm and they were not done until 10pm. After they left, I looked outside and noticed that they left a huge pile of trash in the front yard. I immediately called the company and said to come remove the trash. He said that they could come out mid afternoon on Saturday (the next day) to remove the trash. I was scheduled to have gutters installed on Monday, June 4th, and when I called to tell them to not come out and install the gutters, Deborah, the lady I spoke with, said that they didn't even have me scheduled that day. After I got off the phone with Deborah, she said that she would have someone call me back. Todd called me back and said he would run the numbers and let me know what they can do for us. Todd never called back so I had to call them back. Todd said that they would only refund us $250. When he told us this he said the only way we can get the money is if we sign a contract stating that we will not report them to Angie's List or the BBB.

They showed up when they said they would and Fritz kept me informed on the job progress. The workers were all polite and prompt. They did the job as promised and cleaned everything up.

They were efficient. The roof was installed one day and the gutters the next. They cleaned up nicely with a large magnent. They just did an overall great job.

Company needs to keep customer informed and call back the customer.

Weather was a problem but they planned around it well, and they cleaned up well after the job.

It went great! They did an excellent job. I'm real happy with it. They did the whole roof in one day. They were very prompt and punctual.

We didn't pay for the repair. We had originally gone through a different company who did the roofing for us in December of 2010. A reputed store contacted Richmond Exteriors to do the repair. We were satisfied with the outcome of the repair. The gentleman who came out was very professional and did a very good job. He cleaned up immaculately when he was done. We couldn't even say the repair was done.

I need to get back with them but it is a problem to keep calling and keep calling. I don't even know if the two young gentleman even still work there. The guttering people are just not very reliable. I don't know if I would use them again in the future.

The service was great for the initial sale and for the sale of the repairs. Getting them out for a repair in 2011 was slow and required repeated calls.

The estimate part went fine. Chose another contractor based on knowledge of roof problem. However, since the other contractor was used. I decided that Richmond Roofing would have been just as GOOD.
