Rhino Shield

Very well. The workers came out and worked very hard and did a wonderful job! They cleaned everything and left my home looking fabulous!

Of course, it's way too early to say anything about how well this 25-year coating will hold up. But, it has certainly restored our logs to approximately their original, bright, clean color. There was a period of a couple of weeks after we signed the contract during which we were in the dark about when the actual work might begin. Better communication would have helped there, although it was a rainy period and scheduling exterior painting jobs must have been pretty challenging. But, once things got rolling, it all happened very quickly and professionally. The two painters who did the work had to drive more than an hour to reach us from their home base, but they appeared bright and early every morning and worked quickly for a long day, before they loaded up to begin the long drive home. The painters pressure washed the house, applied an adhesive primer sealer to everything, and then went over it all again with the ceramic Rhino Shield coating. The logs are one color, and trim elements (fascia and soffit boards, porch posts and beam, etc.) are a darker color. We had resisted putting any sort of color on our precious logs, concerned that we would lose the nice grain and texture that make the house special. So, for years, we had applied clear WoodGuard preservative. This got to be really expensive, didn't ultimately keep the wood from darkening, and certainly didn't keep the carpenter bees from boring lots of holes in the logs. When we looked at the pictures of log homes on the Rhino Shield Web site, we thought they all looked too reddish. So, we tried to pick a color that matched the blond color of our white cedar logs when we first built the house. If you look at the photos of the finished job, you'll see what we chose. We're very pleased with the result. And the carpenter bees are leaving it alone so far. ;-)

It would have been nice to have had a crew I could communicate with. It would have been nice to have calls that I made to different people returned. Now, because the process was not completly and accurately explained, AND because I could not speak fluent Spanish, AND no one returned my calls until after the fact, I have this very durable product that will last for 25 years highlighting a crappy surface because RhinoShield's prepping of the surface only is to pressure-wash and create big jagged edges all over and then not even attempt to smooth it or ask the homeowner if they would like to sand it. Nope, just slap the protectant over and now I get to look at a crappy surface for the next 25 years. Thanks RhinoShield. A lot of money for a horrible experience. If only I could have communicated with someone.

They cleverly say it won't rot, chip or peel, but they don't mention fading. The paint makes the wood impervious and seals in the moisture. If they paint your front door, it makes it bumpy.

Everything was efficiently and punctually completed. Extra woodwork repair was expertly done to replace rotted soffet.

Painting went well. There was some misunderstanding about what areas were to be painted. It was quickly addressed and the job was completed. The most difficult issue was selecting the color we wanted. We were handed a color chart with thousands of colors and shades of color. What looks good on a little chip doesn't look the same on your home.

We love the new look! We received everything that we expected and more! The painters were at our house for 2 long days and made sure everything was done in a very neat and professional manner. They cleaned up everything once they were completed and walked around to inspect the work with us before they finished the job. We were very pleased and would highly recommend this company to anyone.

it took them two months to complete a two day job. they left a partial mess: cigarette butts and paint flakes on the ground, blue tape way up high on the house, paper stuck to the house, and many many areas not painting thoroughly: when we inspected it and commented on the light areas, they told us when it dried, it would be perfect. but it wasnt, and a LOT of repainting was needed. but it took WEEKS of continually calling them to get them to finish the job; during which we were fed lies and irrelevant excuses, and some rudeness. their product appears to be wonderful. the service is so below acceptable i dont even know how to rate it. if you want a great product but have nothing to do but make unanswered phone calls for two months, then go for it.

I was extremely satisfied. The work was done in a timely, efficient manner. They went beyond my expectations to be sure I was satisfied.

The job went smooth and was done correctly. The contractor was very conscious of my expectations and answered all my questions before completing the job. I will use them again before applying standard paint products to any home in my future. The extra cost is definitely worth it.

The guy that came out quoted my husband at the beginning of the conversation around $8000-10,000. By the end of the conversation it had gone up even more. Considering that was such a big range in the price department I needed someone that would give me an actual price and not such a large range up to $20,000 Seemed like he just kept going up in price. I would be willing to have someone else to come out if they dont send the same guy. Felt like he wasnt honest.

Terrible. Siding is warping. Old Colors showing. Do not use this product on Vinyl. Spend the extra 30% and replace the siding

The work went well - even on the garage door (which also needed scraping first). I was amazed that all the work could be done in 3 days. The scraping and taping probably took the longest, but the outcome was great--the taping on the walls and later the soffits made it so there was no blue paint where it should have been white and vice versa. Many of my neighbors has commented on how nice the house looks now. I won't give the price because that depends so much on the size of the house (project). Would I use again? Yes - but shouldn't need to, as there is a 25 guarantee on the coating so I probably won't be around when it needs to be done again.

Fantastic! From the start with the estimate, all the way to the finish, was very satisfied. The painters were on time, always kept me informed, and did a great job. There never was a mess during the whole process. Well worth the cost. Rhino Shield is more expensive to put on your house, but it will add value AND it looks great!

Excellent! Everyone we dealt with was very professional. The guys that did the actual work were very friendly, hard working & meticulous. We are especially thankful for the onsite foreman for his help & patience with all of our questions!

First of all, I was amazed at how quickly the repairs were completed...2 days. in total about 6 panels needed to be replaced. Many other panels had been gouged at the bottom by lawn mower wheels and such. What impressed me about this phase of the work is that, first of all, as damaged panels were removed, they cut away the damage and were able to use them to replace other panels. I really appreciated this cost saving measure and I felt like no materials were wasted. As for the panels that were damaged only at the bottom, they came up with an efficient and attractive idea that ended up saving all those panels and I love the look. As for the actual painting, again I was very impressed. The primer coat is "sticky" so that the final coat will adhere better. Windows, light fixtures, and such were meticulously masked off. Painting was delayed by a week due to bad weather, but the actual process took only 2 days. I have seen homes in our neighborhood have similar exterior repairs and painting done and it seems like the contractors are there for weeks. Rhino Shield got in, did the work and got out in 4 working days total and I am thrilled with the final result. Neighbors I haven't even talked to before stop and compliment me on the transformation.

We went with Rhino shield in an effort to save the old masonite siding that was on our neglected tudor house we purchased in December. The house had not been painted in several years and there were some areas of concern on the now discontinued panels. The team replaced all the cedar trim that needed to be done and caulked and sealed all of the masonite panels. The applied the Rhino Shield product to the siding on our house including the gutters. Couldn't be happier with the results. House looks great. Only time will tell as for the 25 year guarantee but if we get half that it will be worth the investment. Team was great to work with and showed up early and worked late every day. Finished on time. The only knock I give is to the office/sales staff. I was not once able to get anyone to answer office phones during morning or afternoon. Always had to leave messages. We had scheduled a few weeks in advance due selling another house in a different state. When our scheduled week came around the weather was looking iffy for the first day. Never got a call confirming we were still a go until the crew called that morning saying they were an hour away and coming. They could be a bit more proactive in this area.

Although more expensive than paint, they did a great job prepping the house and repairing rotten wood paneling (our house is all wood siding). Their quote was just for the house but after some minimal negotiating, the detached garage was added. They then scrapped the house and brick chimney, repaired rotten spots along the way, protected landscape, then painted using 2 colors. We had frequent visits with the team and leader (Rudy Pallone) and did a final walk around the house. All questionable areas were readily corrected. Rudy was easy to communicate with and quite responsive. The final result was excellent. Project completed in about 9 days - delays related to weather. Working crew were quite good. Would recommend if staying in home quite a few years, especially if wood siding
