Rhino Shield

I called the company based on an advertisement I received in a coupon mailer. When the company representative arrived he was about 15 minutes late, though he had called to let me know he was running late. He asked if my husband was also available for this appointment. When I responded that he was not, the man showed me his appointment paperwork that said both "Mr and Mrs would be available for the appointment". I told him that I did not know that we both needed to be here for the estimate. He told me, "I know my girl, and she would not book an appointment without qualifying the lead first." This was a very unprofessional way to begin a conversation. Then he asked me if there was a time when both my husband and I would be available, I told him I never know when my husband will be here. He asked how long we had owned our home, I replied, "Six years." His response? "You've really let it go." We have not had the exterior painted in those six years, true, but this statement combined with his first indicator that he did not believe me when I told him I did not know that both of us were supposed to be here for the estimate made merethink hiring this company to do any work for us. The estimator was rude, and a little more than slightly pushy about trying to set up another time with us. He even called "his girl" who sets appointments to prove I was misleading him. She was very kind (she had no idea of the conversation that had already taken place between her sales rep and me) and suggested he either give us an estimate today or reschedule. After he hung up the phone, I gave him back his card and said I thought it unlikely we would be calling to reschedule based on my experience with him today. If this is the kind of service he offers a potential customer, what kind of work can I expect when his company comes in?

The sales rep was very knowledgeable about their product and application. He was able to show us many photos and addresses of previous jobs. There was no pressure to sign a contract and patiently answered family's questions. Rhino Shield was able to start the next day due to a lack of work for that particular time period. The job was done in about 6 days with the crew of 2 on most days working about 10 hours a day including Sunday and Labor Day. The crew was very professional in their work. We were pleased with their work and attention to detail. We thought that they could have some method to collect the paint chips that came off during the pressure washing and scraping. They did a pretty good job with a shop vac picking up the chips though. Only time will tell if the product holds up as claimed. The price was comparable to a vinyl siding, but we wanted to retain the look and have 2 colors of the house.

They didn't miss a thing and did good work on replacing wood on my ranch that needed to be replaced. They didn't charge me anything for extra things and even came out at no cost to correct a part on my chimney. They workers cleaned up after themselves well and respected my windows by preventing paint from getting on them. I'd use them again and highly recommend them to others!

The workman were to arrive at around 1:00 P.M to start the pressure washing and the preparation but did not show up until 6:30 P.M. with no call to let us know they were late & still planned to come. We did convey to them our aggravation & explained that they needed to let us know their show up times so we could plan our day. When work is being done at our home, we want to be there. So,after a bad start, most everything went fairly well. The workers were hard working and did try to please.

Quick response from start to finish. Estimate on target. Nice workers. Excellent final product. Few gliches with screens and door but workers and company quickly responded to make correct. Hope the product lasts as long as stated. Sales representative indicated could match our exsisting paint with our paint formula. Unfortunately, that did not happen but was acceptable color.

They were fast, efficient, and pleasant to work with. They did a great job. The salesman and workmen were all very nice. I would definitely use them again.

Jim Williams and his representative were very helpful and answered all of my questions. Max and Oleg were sent out to do the work and did an excellent job. They caulked 1200 screw holes that could not be seen after they had applied the Rhino Coat paint. The house looks great.

Lousy. The quality of the product and their work have been very disappointing, especially for the high price they charged for the initial paint job. The contact person does not identify himself when he calls or comes for an appointment. Last night, two of their painters came to my house without calling first, to have me check their work. I am a single woman who saw two strange men standing on my porch at dusk in the rain. No way I was going to answer that door, but they continued pounding on it for 10 minutes.

Jim Williams is a true professional. He surveyed our home, explained his companies services and products with understandable detail. Offered a fair and competitive price and didn't start discounting like his competitors did. His crew did a very nice job, except they could have cleaned up a little better in my opinion.

Jim's workers were very polite & hard working individuals. They kept me apprised as the work was being completed, & verified how I wanted the color scheme applied before proceeding, which I appreciated. They were conscientious in doing their best not to step on all my flowers coming up through my garden areas, which cover 3 sides of my house. I am very pleased with the appearance of the completed job. My neighbors, although envious of how sharp my house looks now, are impressed, as am I, with the quality of workmanship displayed on the outside of my home. At least one of my neighbors has already called to have an estimate done on their home down the street from me. I especially like the 25 yr. warranty which covers the work done, + the fact the balance of the warranty is transferable to a different owner if I sell my home.

WE FOUND THEM TO BE EXCEPTIONAL WORKERS. THEY WORKED LONG DAYS AND ON SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS TO GET THE JOB DONE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THEY WERE VERY NEAT, FRIENDLY, AND HARD-WORKING.

THEY BEGAN TUESDAY WITH THE POWER WASHING AND TRIM ON FRIDAY, BUT DIDN'T SHOW UP AGAIN UNTIL TUESDAY, FINISHING EVERYTHING UP ON THURSDAY. WE WERE IN THEIR 'COCOON' STATE (WINDOWS COVERED) FOR 6 DAYS, AND SINCE THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK 9 DAYS INSTEAD OF 4 AS ESTIMATED, THIS GOT OLD PRETTY QUICKLY. NOT SURE WHY THEY DIDN'T WORK ON THOSE OTHER DAYS (THERE WAS NICE WEATHER), AS NO ONE KEEPS IN CONTACT WITH YOU ONCE THE PROCESS BEGINS. LASTLY, THEY CLEANED UP THE BIG THINGS SUCH AS THE PAPER, BUT THERE ARE WHITE PAINT CHIPS IN THE YARD, ETC. FROM POWER WASHING THE TRIM, WHICH DOESN'T LOOK GOOD. I WAS DISAPPOINTED THEY DON T HAVE A WAY TO CLEAN THIS UP FURTHER. THE POSITIVE WAS THE QUALITY OF WORK SEEMS VERY GOOD. EVERYONE WAS NICE AND THEY WERE PATIENT AS WE MADE DECISIONS ON PAINT COLORS. PERHAPS I HAD UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS GOING IN, BUT I REALLY THOUGHT WITH THE HIGHER PRICE YOU ARE PAYING YOU WOULD RECEIVE A SUPERIOR SERVICE. ALL THOSE LITTLE NEGATIVES JUST ADDED UP.

THEY QUICKLY RESPONDED TO MY REQUEST FOR A QUOTE. JIM WILLIAMS WAS RIGHT ON TIME AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE WAS VERY NICE TO WORK WITH AND SEEMS LIKE HE HAS A QUALITY PRODUCT. IT CAME DOWN TO PRICE AND I WENT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY.

THEY DID A NICE JOB OF PAINTING AND CLEANED EVERYTHING UP, INCLUDING THE SCRAPED-OFF PAINT THAT WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE! THIS CREW OFTEN DIDN'T START WORK UNTIL 10-11 A.M., BUT THEY WOULD WORK UNTIL DARK. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN-BUT SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FOR AT LEAST 15 YEARS!

HAD A SHAKY START WITH THE FIRST WORKER WHO ARRIVED TO POWER WASH THE HOUSE, BUT INSTEAD, SPENT AN HOUR WALKING AROUND THE YARD, ARGUING WITH SOMEONE ON HIS CELL PHONE.(I WAS LATER TOLD THE EMPLOYEE WAS TERMINATED.) THE NEXT DAY, ANOTHER WORKER ARRIVED AND POWER WASHED THE HOUSE, INCLUDING THE BRICK WHERE PREVIOUS PAINTERS HAD DRIPPED STAIN. TWO MORE WORKERS ARRIVED ON THE THIRD DAY AND WORKED FROM DAWN UNTIL DUSK, INCLUDING SATURDAY AND SUNDAY (MOTHER'S DAY) TO COMPLETE THE JOB BEFORE EXPECTED RAINS. THE MEN DISPLAYED AN EXCELLENT WORK ETHIC, WERE POLITE, HARD WORKING, AND EVEN GOOD TO MY LABS (WHO DESTROYED ONE MAN'S HAT WHEN HE WASN'T LOOKING)! THEY CLEANED UP THOROUGHLY WHEN FINISHED. THE TRIM LOOKS BEAUTIFUL AND SHOULD LAST 15-20 YEARS (WE CHOSE THE 15 YEAR GUARANTEE). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY - WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

THE SALES PERSON WAS PROMPT AND PROVIDED GOOD INFORMATION. THE WORKMEN SHOWED UP WITH NO WARNING, BUT IT WORKED OUT OK. THE WORKMEN WERE SOME OF THE HARDEST WORKING AND EFFICIENT PEOPLE I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME.

THEY DID EXCEPTIONAL WORK AND DID EVERYTHING RIGHT. IT TOOK ME ALL SUMMER TO NEGOTIATE A PRICE.

OVERALL GOOD EXPERIENCE, NO COMPLAINTS.

THE CERAMIC PAINT SHOULD LAST FOR 25 YEARS. A HIGHER INVESTMENT THAN NORMAL, BUT SHOULD BE THE LAST TIME YOU PAINT FOR A WHILE.

THE CREW THAT WORKED ON OUR HOUSE WAS WONDERFUL. THEY WORKED FROM DAWN UNTIL DUSK AND COMPLETED THE JOB AMAZINGLY QUICKLY. THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT TO WORK WITH. THE COMPANY HAS BEEN EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE. IF THE PAINT LASTS FOR THE 25 YEARS IT IS WARRANTED, THIS WILL BE A WONDERFUL INVESTMENT!

THIS PROCESS IS AN EXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVE TO REGULAR PAINT, BUT IF IT TRULY DOES LAST 25 YEARS (AS IT IS WARRANTED FOR) YOU WILL MORE THAN MAKE UP FOR THE EXPENSE IN THE LONG RUN. IF YOU WANT THE PRODUCT, BUT DON'T LIKE THE INITIAL PRICE ASK FOR A QUOTE ON THE 2 COAT PROCESS INSTEAD OF THE 3 COAT PROCESS. IT STILL CARRIES THE 25 YEAR WARRANTY.

BE HOME FOR THE FIRST DAY OF WORK. WALK AROUND YOUR HOUSE WITH THE PAINTER TO DISCUSS THEIR WORK PLAN. ARRANGE A START DATE WITH THE OWNER.

CAME OUT AND MEASURED THE TRIM, AND IT WAS 600 SQ FEET. THIS ESTIMATE SEEMS EXTREMELY HIGH, AND HE GAVE US A VERY LONG LECTURE ABOUT HOW THIS WOULD LAST 22 YEARS LONGER THAN THE COMPETITION'S. IT WAS A LOT OF SHOW FOR A RELATIVELY SMALL AMOUNT OF INFORMATION. HE ALSO DID SOME THINGS THAT WERE FAIRLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THIS WAS THE SALES MANAGER.

THEY SET AN APPOINTMENT WITH ME FOR THE ESTIMATE AND THEY DID NOT SHOW UP OR CALL.

DID NOT GIVE ADVANCE NOTICE WHEN WORK TEAM ARRIVED-JUST SHOWED UP.
