REPUBLIC WASTE SERVICES

It has been fantastic. Since I started, I was the first one in the block and a lot of more people joined in. They are consistent, dependable and they are neat. The cost is very fair. I do not dislike anything about their service. They provide the container and they pick it up every other week. Their price is fair. I would use them again in the future; I have been using it for two years now.

They come once a week for our garbage and bi weekly for our recycled items. We do not have any garbage in the road when they have gone. They turn the can upside down after they pick it up. I do not have anything bad to say about them. Everyone has always been extremely helpful.

Overall, recycling is more important so I won't cancel the service, but waiting two weeks is unacceptable. Should they pick up before January 6th, I might change this grade.

Republic Waste Services damaged a landscape light by the careless handling of the dumpsters. Although it was obvious what had happened, they refused to pay for its replacement or take responsibility as we did not have a videotape documenting the event. This was not the first time.

I have been using it for over 2 years. Overall, very consistent on collections and I have had no problems. The price tend to go up as you go along. When it got really expensive, I began researching alternatives. I asked them if they would match a competitors price and they said they would. The B rating on price is because the charge went up needlessly.

The company has broken wheels off both my toters in the past month. I called for a pickup of one toter (a change I planned anyway) and a repair of the second toter. Two weeks later, a representative called and confirmed the service for next day. Toter #1 was removed, but Toter #2 was not repaired. I called to complain today, and the service representative read the order back to me correctly, then explained how it didn't mean what I thought it meant. They said they would fix it sometime next week. I hope so. Three + weeks is a LONG time to wait for a simple repair. To be fair, service has gone 2 years without many glitches. This must be a bad month. Company eventually repaired both toters. Service has been very good. This has been the only stumble in an otherwise good experience.

We were fine with garbage pick up, but made the mistake of trying to be good citizens and add the recycling. Should have come on Angie's list first and we would have saved ourselves a huge headache. We've had the "service" for six weeks now, and it has NEVER been emptied. I have sent email and phone calls, but clearly the customer is not important to republic. DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY HIRING THIS COMPANY!!

Fair - recycling is not picked up weekly, so container is overfull.

They always come when they're supposed to, and no trash has ever been found on the street or neighborhood after they've been through. I think their price is competitive.

Granted, we did not have enough recycling every week to put the bins out, but when we did, I frequently had to call the company to say that the truck had not come by to pick it up. Sometimes it took several days to get them out to get it.

The service was very reliable but the price of a competitor was better.

When another company canceled my service I called them. They were happy to have my business. They do a good job.

I have Republic's automated trash and recycling collection. They do a great job of ensuring the trash is collected without leaving a mess. I do like the bins that give us to collect the trash. I would like to have a single price without all of the fuel charges.

We've been in our new house for two months. They are the service company for the whole community and cost is included in our home owner association fee, we don't know exactly how much. They've missed Thursday pickup twice and made them up once on Friday and once on Saturday.

They do a good job, they are responsive to your calls.

Their service is fine, so far they have never left a mess and are always reliable. The problem I have is their price. Every bill is an increase. When they took over I was paying $36 a quarter. My last bill was $61 after their cost increases and "fuel charge". They supply one tote (holds 3 large bags), additional totes are $4.50 per quarter. With Southern Scavenger there were no totes, just an 8 bag limit. I am effectively paying almost twice as much for putting out less than half the limit before they took over. I am switching to Ray's, where they have no totes (optional) and a 10 bag limit for about $20 less per quarter.

We try to do the right thing and recycle. We used to drive our trash around town to drop-off sites, but we would get lazy and trash would pile up in our garage. Also, we weren't a fan of taking our garbage on road trips, so we decided it might be worth it to pay someone to pick it up. So we hired Republic. Service is very hit-or-miss. I'd say they remember to pick up our recycling about 85% of the time, but what happens the other 15% of the time is a mystery. And when we call after being missed, they claim they will send someone to pick it up the next day, and there's maybe a 10% chance that they follow through with that. That's what really ticks me off, when they forget to come after missing us. I can forgive the occasional miss, but not after we've had to call and complain. We also had our totes stolen. They agreed to replace them for free, which they eventually did, but it took multiple calls and about a month for that to happen.

They are doing a good job right now. I haven't had any problems with pick up or anything.

They come on the given day. They do a good job, it's just they keep raising their rates.

I was with Rumke until Republic purchased them. Service price increased quarterly and level of service was not great. They publish a holiday schedule and add holidays without notice. They missed me several times. I switched to Best Way until Republic purchased them. Service prices increased after I was told that nothing would change. The service level has not improved since the last time I left Republic. When I call about missed pick-ups, I am basically told that I must not have had the container out by 6:00 am, which I did, or that I must have left items outside of their tote. When I do convince them that I followed the rules, they do not seem to be able to get someone to come back to make the pick-up until the next week. I would not recommend Republic to anyone, although they seem to be purchasing every other company in the area.

The thing I like best is that when the men pick up your cans, they don't throw it on the ground when it's emptied. They set it back where they found it. They are flexible with picking up more than one can of garbage. They consistently reliable!

Everything went smoothly. They gave me a quote and scheduled pick-up with one phone call. They picked it up as scheduled and put it on my bill as promised.

Punctual. Provide trash containers and typically take all you leave for them - including branches.

Would have used another company if we were able to do so. We pay about $75 for three months of "service" and each statement has a new price increase due to gas prices. They leave our curbside a mess most times and leave the can in the middle of the driveway on purpose. I have watched them, they leave everyone's the same. Always nice to come home to. Moved and got to cancel and was charged a $15 fee for them to come and pick up the can.

PUNCTUAL AND DEPENDABLE. NEVER ANY PROBLEMS.
