Everything was great. Installation was timely and professional.

We purchased a Big Deal for installation of a new security system. Theo explained everything that would be included and performed an assessment of our home to make recommendations on what we would need. After the assessment, he installed everything immediately. The process took a couple hours, and he was very respectful and professional during that time. With the incredible deal, we were able to receive a standard security system with monitoring plus several home automation options, including video cameras and a thermostat. One item that we purchased was out of stock. When it was back in stock a week later, he contacted us and came back to install it immediately. We are very happy with the system we purchased. We feel we received a very robust system for a great price. We also love the app that came with the automation and like that we can continue to add on to our system if we choose.

After researching the myriad of available options for home security, which also included complaint/resolution research at the BBB, I was most pleased to find that ProTecht stood out as being the most customer friendly of our security considerations, as well as being a local company, of which is comforting as I knew that if I were to have any questions or concerns, that I would not be routed to a call center outside of the US, which is quite difficult, at times. Contacting ProTecht via telephone to the Avon, Indiana location resulted in the owner, Theo Garber, taking the call, being most helpful, and scheduling an appointment quite quickly. Theo arrived right on time, and possibly, a bit sooner. Explanation of the products available and application according to our needs was explained quite well; Theo patiently answered all of our questions and concerns and at no point did we ever feel as if any of our questions were silly, as Theo patiently listened and patiently answered our questions. After the assessment for equipment and security, an appointment was scheduled for installation, of which Theo called prior to arrival and arrived on time, or even possibly sooner. Upon installation, it was determined by all that some additions and deletions were in order, of which Theo was quite flexible with options and helpful with his input. It seems to be the goal of Theo to assure that the customer is happy and comfortable with the security system and spends as much time as is needed to assure the comfort level of the customer. After completion of the installation, Theo patiently explained the workings and variances of the system, assuring that we were comfortable with the operations. As well, Theo stated that we could call him if we had any questions or concerns. In regards to the price of the security system, given that we had changes/alterations during installation, the price would go up a bit and down a bit with the end result being much the same as the original quote. Much to Theo's credit, when the price went down, it still seemed to be Theo's focus on customer satisfaction and comfort, as well as the best security option, rather that losing a few extra dollars. Theo spent alot of time with us, from initial assessment to installation to all of our questions. I would recommend Theo to anyone.

Protecht is amazing! I would highly recommend using them. Theo was very polite and answered all of my questions before I even purchased the type of alarm system we wanted off of Angie's List. He was also very quick at responding to my emails and calls, he confirmed his appointment time with me the day before and showed up on time, and when the work was completed he gave us a tutorial on how the system works. Theo is amazing to work with and even after he installs the alarm system he is still ready available to help with whatever you need. I can't say enough great things about Theo/Protecht-love the service that is provided.

We chose ProTECHt because of favorable reviews in Angies list and are pleased with the choice. The installation went quickly. Theo and his assistant installed and explained the system in a little over an hour. The initial price included all our downstairs doors and windows as well as a large fixed picture window. A sensor that detects breaking glass protects the latter. We asked for an extra sign outside and this was provided at no charge.

It went very well. Theo is a professional and also very personable. He came up with a plan to cover all my possible entry points. No pressure at all and we were able to come to an agreement we both felt was fair. Thanks again Theo!

It went very well. Theo was extremely professional. We had an error signal on the alarm screen a couple of days after installation. When notified Theo came back to our home right away and fixed the problem. The cost was reasonable and Theo was fantastic. I would highly recommend Protecht

My new home came with a security system. I called the number (Not Pro Techt Home Security) on the system to schedule an install. On the day of the install I was told, after I called, that the install technician was going to be our for a week and so no one would be able to come out to set up my alarm system. Thankfully I found Theo. Theo was very helpful and was able to use the system that my home came with (unlike another security company). He installed extra equipment and provided a very reasonable price for monthly monitoring. I highly recommend Pro Techt Home Security. Theo turned a bad situation into a good one and I greatly appreciate his work.

Kenny couldn't have done a better job installing the system. He secured the house for the price of the deal without adding any expense. Service was quick, professional, and complete. Responding to follow-up questions has been great. Theo has also been helpful in the purchase and with follow-up questions. Great service and great company. Highly recommend them.

It went well. Slight issues with the video camera and trying to find the right settings but Theo has always been available to answer questions and help when needed. Every time the video camera records something... even a shadow from the sun, it goes toward your monthly allocation of recordings. I end up shutting it off most of the time but it'll still record if the alarm goes off.

Very professional and personable, has needed to come back a few times to adjust equipment and was always prompt. Did not stop working with us until things were right. Also available in future if needed for same equipment.

It went fantastic. I can't thank Theo enough for his professionalism and expertise. Theo is the owner of the company and did the install himself. I knew from researching Angie's List that I would be dealing directly with the owner which was a big reason why I went with his company. Also, I called around to numerous security companies and Theo was extremely competitive price wise.

They were punctual and polite. The security system was installed properly. The only problem is our camera installation. The camera can only use wifi network, and they couldn't use Ethernet outlet above the garage installed by the builder. I wish they have told me they had to drill a hole on our brand new brick wall above the garage, and they actually couldn't get through the wall, so the drilling was totally unnecessary and waste of time. They ended up using the camera to cover the hole without giving me any solution to this damage. The camera didn't work before and after they left, and I had sent messages and called the company to get some answers. They finally told me I have to buy a wifi extender to get the camera to work five days later. I had to get the wifi extender, since we are stuck with this company for three years contract, and there is a damage on our brick wall covered by their camera. The camera finally worked. I didn't know they can just make some damages to your house and pretend there was nothing. I wouldn't recommend this company to other people. They are not professional.

They were great: very professional, prompt and even discouraged us from purchasing what they perceived to be unnecessary expenditures (i.e., certain second floor windows, as the vast majority of break-in's happen on the first floor). In the 18 months since, the system has performed beautifully (i.e., notified us while out of town of power failiure, as the system has a batatery back-up), and we have absolutely no complaints or regrets about having used their services. Great service provider.

I called to ask for a quote for my business. We have office space and warehouse space totaling up to nearly 50,000 sq. ft., so the representative kindly told me that their system would not work for me. They operate on wireless sensors, and false alarms would go off in that large of a space. He informed me that my building would need to be hardwired, and even gave me recommendations on other vendors.

They called me the same day and had someone out to my house the next day! Theo was there to try to do a system takeover to save me some $$$ and the system was from the 90's. He gave every effort to get some of the sensors to work, but they were just too old and outdated. We talked about my options and we decided a whole new system install was the best way to go. I got the $20 deal for a system plus 12 points of security protection. I had to add 5 extra sensors to cover all of the house, so the total ended up being around $300, which is cheap considering all I got. I only had to sign a 3 year agreement (most are 5 years). This is how customers should be treated. They earn your business and don't try to tick you or scare you for their business. I plan on being a customer of theirs for a very long time. Highly recommend!!

Very responsive and very nice to work with. The issue was resolved quickly. During the same visit we had another motion alarm installed. The equipment to do it was in his vehicle. How nice!!
