We received a warning message from Monitronics that the back up battery for our alarm system keypad was not functioning . We contacted ProTecht and Kenny came out within a short time and replaced the battery. Within two weeks, the same warning message started appearing on our key pad screen and with messages from Monitronics. Theo came out, checked out the entire system, and decided that the key pad needed to be replaced. Theo and Kenny came out and replaced the key pad and had to repeat the initial installation process with Monitronics. We have had no issue since the key pad was replaced. A major reason we selected ProTecht as our alarm system provider was our belief that Theo and Kenny would be available to deal with any problem we encountered. The current situation reinforces our belief that we chose one of the best, if not the best, alarm system provider in the Indianapolis area.

Installation process was so easy. I was impressed with how quickly this friendly company contacted me to schedule. They arrived on time. I felt no pressure to purchase additional services or equipment but he was helpful in meeting my security needs. I would recommend to family and friends!

Theo was prompt, professional and thorough. He explained all aspects of the system and monitoring, assessed our needs without pressure and quickly installed the system. My family is very happy with the system and the monitoring service. Thanks Theo!

After arriving and discussing the system and understanding my needs they set about installing the system after . Upon finishing I was instructed how to use the alarm system and how to contact them for further work and questions. I have had the occasion to call them for questions since the install and they have respond quickly and been very helpful.

The service was good. They were good about coming out to give a fair estimate. They were easy to contact and they followed up well.

Their service was excellent. They arrived on time, completed the work when they said, and did everything they said they would. The technician even gave me his number so I could call if I have any questions. I called and he answered right away. He was very responsive and answered my question. They explained things well and I was impressed with the service. They surpassed my expectations.

The installation was free if we used them for the monitoring service. Their service is great. They were very nice and it's a local business. They were cheaper than their competitors. They also installed a brand new system when their competitor would not. I have been pleased with the service.

Their service has been great and I have been pleased with the experience. They are the first alarm company I have used. They seem well connected. I use an app on my phone for everything which is nice. I will get a text notification if anything comes up. I might even have cameras installed and I should be able to monitor them from my phone. The price is also very competitive.

The service went really well and I was pleased. I did a lot of research prior to the installation. I compared them to other main companies in the area. They were by far the best. I think they were the most competitive out of all the options I pursued. It was a straight forward installation and I have no issues with the service.

They did very well overall during the installation. Very happy with the system. I couldn't figure out how to change a setting, I called and they walked me through it over the phone.

The 2 installers outfitted our home with several door detectors, windows alarms and 2 smoke detectors. They were very courteous, prompt and friendly and explained everything to me. The installation fee was supposed to be 69.00 but I added more doors and the 2 smoke detectors and the price was around 540.00. It was a lot but I feel good about the installation and they system seems to be top notch. Way more detailed than my old ADT system. Great job!

Fabulously!! I can't recommend this company enough. Theo was professional and personable, and he even helped my with the the smartphone that came earlier that day. He was also nice to my dog. Nice and personable go a long way with me, and I give Theo an A++.

The provider sent two men to install. They allowed us to trade some of the points of entry for glass break sensors instead because of the way our windows open. They were very professional, very informative, and very punctual. They called us the day after we ordered our Big Deal and scheduled a date for install. We didn't even need to call them! The system is so much better than what we had.

I first spoke with Kim from 24 hour and she was very pleasant. She followed up with me when she said she would and was very nice. I called the main number back and spoke to Kenny, who is one of the owners, Theo is the other owner and they do the installations. He was very nice and informative. We discussed that we didn't want them to make a special trip to Louisville from Indianapolis just for us, since we didn't know exactly how many windows we wanted to have monitored, so we didn't know the exact price of the equipment, so they came to our home the next time they were in Louisville, which was only a few days away. They arrived around 6pm and we discussed pricing and decided to go with them. They installed the system and were done by 9pm, and still had a job in Louisville to go finish! But we didn't feel at all like they were rushing to get out of our house to get to their next job. They were very nice and took their time with us. Our monthly monitoring is $39.99 for 3 years. We ended up having every window monitored, a glass break sensor, 2 doors, 2 motion detectors and 2 fire alarms installed. We discovered the next Monday morning that for some reason our system was still in test mode. Our alarm went off and no one from Monitronics called. We didn't feel comfortable with this at all, since the whole purpose of a monitored alarm system is to be contacted if it goes off. We contacted Kenny to cancel the agreement and come get the equipment, but he truly bent over backwards to make us happy. We decided we would thoroughly test the sytem later that day and if all went well we would not cancel the contract with Monitronics. We did have one sensor that didn't test correctly, but everything else was great. Monitronics has been great to deal with too. I was on the phone with them for 1 hour testing everything and they have been great to work with. Kenny really wanted to do whatever it took to make us happy. He worked out a discount with our monitoring to make up for the system being left in test mode after the install was over. 24 hour had activated the system with Monitronics correctly the night they installed it, but for some reason Monitronics left the system in test mode. Kenny and Theo were great to work with. They came back to our home and replaced the one window sensor and answered all of our questions. I would not hesitate at all to recommend them to friends or family. And the system so far has been great. We've had it for about 1 1/2 weeks and we love it. Much better than our old system. The phone apps are really cool, and I love the fact that even if a battery gets low in a sensor, you automatically get an automated call from Monitronics telling you about it. Also love the emails you get from Alarm.com with any alarm activity. I would just recommend to other AL readers to call Monitronics and thoroughly test their system a couple of days after the installation. The problem we had with one window sensor wasn't Kenny or Theo's fault, when the window was opened the sensor sent a signal to Monitronics just fine, but when the window was closed the sensor thought the window was open. I think it's important to note how all of this system and monitoring works, because I have read other reviews who think that 24 hour is the company doing their monitoring. 1. 24 hour installs your system and the initial contract you sign is with 24 hour home protection. They are a Monitronics dealer. 2. 24 hour transfers the contract to Monitronics, who actually does all of the monitoring of the system. If you have any issues with hardware and call 24 hour to work on it, if Kenny and Theo can't come work on it right away, then Monitronics can send out another local Monitronics dealer to work on the system. There are other Monitronics authorized dealers in Louisville. 3. Alarm.com is who the phone apps work through, and they are tied to Monitronics. This can be a little confusing, but some people think 24 hour is who monitors their system, but it's Monitronics. If you have any issues or questions, your first call can always be to Kenny at 24 hour though and I'm sure he would help guide you if you ultimately needed to call Monitronics for support.

Outstanding job and service provided. They were on time very courtesy and patient in explaining the use of the system. I actually recommended them to two other co-workers today.

Shortly after I bought the special on Angies's list , I was contacted by very helpful customer service person. She discussed my needs with me and explained exactly what I would receive and set up the installation appointment. The two young men that came to my house were the extremely knowledgable and efficient. They were also polite and took the time necessary to make sure I was very comfortable with operating the system. I could not be more pleased!

I spoke with a very nice gentleman that explained I would have to sign at least a two year contract in order to get the monitoring service at the advertised price. I'm not interested in signing a contract for such a service.

I bought an Angie's List Big Deal for $49 but, of course, that was for a bare-bones package. I'm not sure anyone could have an effective alarm system for $49, but I'm not complaining. I upgraded to the system recommended, and, so far at least, it has worked well although, thank goodness, I have not had to use it for an emergency. One of the boxes fell off the door and was replaced the same day. I received several calls saying a test they regularly run had failed, and they were again very responsive.

Excellent experience. Theo and Kenny were able to come the day after I called for the first service. They are friendly, knowledgeable and professional and explained things clearly to my wife and I. They did the installation in the course of about 3 hours. There was subsequently an issue with the remote control panel after I left it unplugged for too long. It caused the master control panel to emit a warning tone that I had difficulty resolving myself. It also was driving the cat insane when no one was home to mute the warning tone. Even though it is just the two of them, Theo responded to an after-hours text message and helped me temporize the issue and preserve the cat's sanity. :) I asked them to come back to definitively fix the remote control panel and add a few more sensors. Though the office suggested they were getting busier, they were able to come the same day and perform the service. I can't say I have extensive experience with security companies, but 24 Hour Home Protection is a local vendor for the second-largest security company in the US (Monitronics, second to ADT; Monitronics more prevalent on West Coast). I felt very comfortable with these gentleman and their product and would certainly use them again.

The install was completed in about 2 hours and it went very well.

This is our first home security system. We had interactions with several high rated Angie's List alarm companies both in person at our home and via telephone/internet. We chose 24 Hour Home Protection for several reasons. Theo came to our home, explained the possible options to us, and helped us design a system that fit with our home and our life style. He was very patient, made no attempts to pressure us in any way, and made himself available for any other questions we might have before we made a decision about which company to work with. Some of the other companies were extremely high pressure, starting with one cost estimate and reducing it when we did not immediately agree to their plan. We dismissed the companies who demanded a decision immediately. The cost of the equipment provided by 24 Hour Home Protection was about one half the cost of identical components from other companies. Theo and Kenny did the installation in less than two hours and carefully explained how the system worked and demonstrated all the options we had for coverage. One of the problems I believe exist with security/alarm companies are the number of different people you must deal with.There is the sales person, the installers, the local company staff, and the monitoring company, and some of these people are available only by phone in a city in another part of the country. With 24 Hour Home Protection, Theo and Kenny, and their office support staff are the contacts for any issues with the system. We are looking forward to working with 24 Hour Home Protection over an extended period of time.

Kenny was really nice and helpful. He was quite punctual on both calling and showing up for the installation. I like how he and his business do all the work themselves - from the initial phone call to the installation and any follow-up's from there. The installation was $69 and we decided to purchase an additional glass break sensor for a different room ($130) and with the first month monitoring payment ($40) total was $268 with tax. The service itself runs off of cellular technology. That means if a thief cuts the phone line, it still works. Also, the mail panel comes with a 72hour battery backup. That means if a thief cuts the power, it still works! We opted for the more expensive monthly service at $39.99 which includes a phone app and two-way communication with the monitoring service. We also got a key fob to arm/disarm as well! I would highly recommend this company....I even recommended them to my mother!

Went above and beyond with installing an entire alarm system. Just so happened to be in town on another install and put me in at the end of the day. Great service.
