I had an attempted break in on Thursday, I spoke with a representative on Friday. She tried to get me scheduled that day but her installers were booked for the day however she was able to schedule me for an early morning appointment on Saturday. Theo arrived promptly, accessed my property and my needs. He provided a plan and cost involved; once I made a decision he got right to work. After the system was installed he got me set up on both the computer and phone so I could monitor my system and turn it on and off. He was very thorough and patient. Can't say enough about the experience and I would highly recommend them.

The service has been so far so good. The second portable monitor that I got comes with it at no extra charge. I feel I got more for my money than I got in the past with another company. The price seems comparable with others.

It went great. The system was installed quickly and has been working great since. They are extremely professional and friendly.

They did a wonderful job contacting me quickly after I made the purchase. They came, evaluated my house and the needs that I had all while listening to what I wanted too. They installed the system that day and showed me how to use it. Shortly after the system was installed one of my sensors was not working properly, I called and they troubleshooted over the phone. When that did not work we worked out a time the next evening that they could come back and fix it. The system is working great and the touch screen is excellent!! Very nice and kind to work with.

The two gentlemen that came out, Theo and Colby did an excellent job. They were very professional and punctual as well as. They explained the service, what they would be doing that day and what was included in the service that we chose. We did a walk through the house and once that was finished they got right to work. Theo even recognized several security issues that I hadn't even thought about and made good suggestions. The installation went really quickly and I was very happy with the system. This is the best security system we have ever had installed. We especially like the phone app. Gives us lots of flexibility and peace of mind. They are way ahead of their competitors on product, price, service and installation. I will recommend them to friends and family.

I bought the Big Deal for $29 for installation of a home security system. I had been thinking about it for a while and decided to go ahead with this great price. I bought the deal on Sunday night and immediately was contacted by the company. I had provided them with 3 dates and they had an opening on the earliest date. I was thrilled. They came on the assigned date, right on time. Theo came with a helper/trainee and they got right to work, after explaining what they would do. The deal was for 10 points of contact and I had an additional 2 points of contact, a door and I also decided to go for smoke/fire monitoring. It cost a little extra up front but well worth it. They installed monitors on the walls and doors that will go off if anyone tries to break in the doors or breaks any windows. They also installed a smoke alarm. All of this was done quickly and quietly. They installed a central monitoring panel next to my thermostat. It is easy to use and unobtrusive. There is also a portable panel I keep in my bedroom. There is also a key fob which arms and disarms the system, and - so cool - a mobie app! Theo helped me setup my online account and explained how to use the panel, fob and mobile app. He made sure I was comfortable with everything before he and his helper/trainee left. He left stickers for my windows and a sign for my yard. He made sure to tell me to get a permit for my alarm from the Fishers Police Department. I was so pleased with the service he gave me. Thorough, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I can't say enough good things about this company.

I was expecting to be put on a waiting list. In fact, that's why I jumped on the Big Deal and bought it in the beginning of the week!! Nope! They were ready to install within 24 hrs. and I'm very pleased with them. The initial cost plus the monthly fee is very competitive w/ other companies I've shopped.

Very timely as to the appointment and installation was flawless. When I did have a small issue they fixed it on the spot.

I did not want a cookie cutter solution from a big mass brand. This company is owned by two gentlemen with integrity. Received personal attention and they were very patient with all my questions. I interviewed three other companies and landed with this company. You get what you pay for. This company isn't the cheapest but you don't want that when it comes to family's safety. The security system and cameras also helped us learn how our pet sitting spent only 8 minutes with our dog when we were paying her $25/hour. And we saw she brought into our home another dog! We'd have no idea without the value of this security system. Ask for Theo. He will do you right for your business.

Theo has been great to work with throughout the process of considering, installing, and using the alarm system. I spent a lot of time prior to contacting Theo reading reviews of alarm companies and convincing my husband of the benefits of one. Once I called Theo, he listened to my concerns and desires in a home system and he did not try to encourage me to add on items and features that I did not need. The install went great and Theo even spent some extra time working to place the sensors in positions that would allow me to pay for as few sensors as possible. The system is very easy to work and the cell phone and online features are very user friendly. I love that when I am running late and trying to juggle kids, diaper bags, etc. I can set the alarm from my car. Since you can monitor when the alarm is turned on and off from a phone, it was also helpful to find out that our dog sitter was sometimes going 12 hours between letting our dog out so that we could remedy the problem. Theo also went above and beyond the call of duty when our "alarm system" was going off when my parents arrived to our house with our children when we were on a recent trip. We were getting ready to board a plane and couldn't figure out why the alarm was going off as the system said that it was disarmed. Theo came over and helped my parents figure out that it wasn't the alarm but a smoke detector that had gone faulty and was causing the noise (our smoke detectors are all wired together so when one goes off all of them go off making it sound like the alarm to someone who might not know the difference). Instead of leaving right away, Theo stayed and helped my dad pull the detectors down to get the beeping to stop. The customer service for the help line through Alarm.com was also extremely helpful when our unit stopped making the beeps when setting the alarm or opening the doors. A quick call to them, where they reset the system, took about 15 minutes and the problem was solved. I have been extremely happy with the system and the $40 a month is well worth the piece of mind, in my opinion, to feel more secure in our home. Theo and his company have been a true pleasure to work with.

Protecht walked through the condo accessing my needs and concerns. I had 2 other estimates and while he was not the lowest, he was the one I felt was the best and most secure. Because he had the equipment in the car, I had him go ahead and install it. It took him about 2 hours. He then walked me through the entire system. Then he spent quite a while teaching me about the app to control the system through my iPhone. This is a great plus. I let the painters in today from another location through my phone. I love that. Also, the control panel has the temperature outside displayed on it plus the weather forecast. It also has a hostage code on it. I just really feel safe and secure. I think this is a really great system. It has a lifetime warranty also. Cannot say anything but positive on this one.

We were switching from one system to another. We were able to use most of the monitoring equipment we already had but we did add motion detectors in two places, which was recommended by the installer. Installer was very helpful in explaining how the system worked and what the monthly monitoring fee would be.

Ken and Theo arrived during the schedule appointment time. Walked around the house and listened to what my needs were. They then told me what they could do. They explained the benefits of what they recommended and offered me a fair price to install. They explained everything they were doing and gave me a walk through of the system and how to use it. Also showed me how to use the smart application to turn the system on and off from my cell phone. Did not have one of the components I wanted with them so I was told they would mail it today and I could call them with any questions. They did not do a hard sell and I was never pressured to make an immediate decision. I had determined beforehand that if I liked their equipment, the price was right and i liked the monitoring system I was going to have them install. Downside is that they are not local to Columbus and drove from Indianapolis. I would have felt bad listening to their pitch and then asking them to return to install at a later date. They are trying to establish more business in the Columbus to Cincinnati corridor and are considering hiring a local rep. The equipment contains a lifetime warranty and they assured me that if I called them to fix (not the monitoring company) that they would take care of without a service call. I liked both Ken and Theo and felt good dealing with them. I highly recommend dealing with this company.

Adding a security system to your home for the first time can be intimidating, but Theo explained it very well, walked us through it and answered all of our questions. He has a lot of experience as an installer and he also is a co-owner of the company, so he has a personal stake in every customer's satisfaction. I had never met Theo or heard of the company before contacting them via Angie's List. This was the first time we've used the List, and it worked great.

We called on a Wednesday and they were able to install by Saturday.He was quick and efficient. He did an excellent job explaining how to use everything. We felt completely comfortable using it by the time he left. I would highly recommend this company!

I sent an email inquiry and it was responded to almost immediately. Kenny (one of owners/installers) came out and explained everything to us, made recommendations based on our security concerns. There was no pressure and we discussed various options and prices. After doing some online checking and a couple of phone conversations with other companies, we decided to go with Protecht. Kenny installed three door sensors, glass break sensors, a monitored smoke alarm, and we also have two key fobs for the system. He has answered all of our questions, made some remote adjustments at our request and has been very patient and responsive to the several phone calls we made with additional questions after the system was installed. This is our first home security system and we had no real idea how they operated. We are quite comfortable with it, now.

Theo responded to my request for a quote quickly and was very informative. He walked us through the available system and discussed the advantages of the different systems. He wasn't pushy at any time. We decided to purchase the system he recommended and he was able to install it that day. The installation was fast and he taught my wife and I how to use the system quickly. Overall, we were very happy with ProTecht and Theo. I'd highly recommend using them to my friends and family.

Theo arrived at my house on Monday, the 23rd of December. Answered all my questons with regards to what a security system would provide me and we walked through the house to determine what and where equipment would be required. He provided easy explanation of the services provided and told me to get back with him when I was ready to make a decision. No pressure to buy. I called office on December 26th and they had Ken out to my house to install system on December 27th. Install took a couple of hours and Ken showed us how the system works, tested system for us, and provided me his business card if I had any questions. Becky called me back to confirm I was a happy customer. All went very smoothly and we are feeling much more secure in our home whether we are at home or away. I would highly recommend ProTecht Home Security. They seem to have your safety in mind.

Ken came out and explained everything in detail as far as how the system works, what the company has to offer, the contract, monthly bill, installation, the website, and access to your account outside of the home. He answered all of our questions that we had as well. We normally do not meet with a salesman and make a decision right then and there however, he was very informative, had all of the system with him and had it up and installed within 1 hour. Ken is a very kind, professional man/owner. I have emailed our entire neighborhood group email for his services! Thank you Ken!

I looked into having an alarm installed serveral years ago. After talking to several of the large national compaines, I tired of the sales techniques and never went through with the purchase. After the recent home break ins I decided to look into again. The special offer for Angie's List customers was so good, Protecht was the my first and only call. Theo showed up on time, explained what he recommended, never tried to scare or pressure me into buying more than was necessary. How happy an I with the entire experience? So, happy that I am writing my first review after being a member of angies list for about 10 years.

From the very first phone call, this company was professional, prompt, and easy to work with, My system was installed within days of my initial call. Theo explained the process thoroughly and was upfront about all costs and product included. Kenny arrived to install the system. He was also very professional and installed the entire system in less than two hours including instructions for use and app set up on my smart phone. I felt that they both went over and above to satisfy my needs and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
