I have been with them since December 2013. Everything is still going fine.

They installed the system last month. We have motion detectors, glass breakage, and my garage doors are hooked up to the system. Their pricing is competitive. The sales person, Kenny, did a great job with us.

They installed the system last summer. I have had no problems with them. They are very good! Kenny was just awesome! He worked with me. He asked me what I wanted and I told him and he gave it to me. The price depends on what you want, but he will work with your budget.

Have used provider in the past. While they are not the low cost provider they are knowledgeable, polite, professional, and responsive.

Theo was good about explaining all the details and came quickly to install it, so far no problems. He tried hard to keep the monthly fee low for me.

This is our first home security system. So, I researched the top seven companies as listed on Angie's List, as well as, ADT. Some were called on the phone and others were reviewed on their web site. When I called ProTecht, unlike some of the others, there was no pressure to buy, but patiently answered all my questions. I considered it a plus when I discovered they are locally owned and operated. I was so impressed from our phone conversation that we went ahead and detailed out a preliminary system over the phone and set up a time a couple days later to do the install. Before the install Theo walked through our house and recommended where different devices should be located. I liked his ideas. Both Theo and Kenny installed the equipment and set it up in about an hour. It all worked out very well. He explained how to use the system, and set up other users, as well as, use of the smart phone app. A few days later we added a freeze alarm and a high water detector to our basement sump pump just as efficiently as the original install. Be aware that since we had some special equipment our installation cost may be higher than some at about $300 plus first months service fee of $39.99. Only time will tell for sure, but so far the system has worked as expected. I am happy with the service ProTecht Home Security and Monitronics provides, and recommend them for someone looking for a home alarm system.

I contacted them last week, and they made me wait two days for a repair. I had to bypass the alarm for that door in the meantime which makes me feel very insecure. Today, another part fell off. The guy I spoke with said he would have someone else call, and the other guy never called. Therefore, I will have to bypass that door again tonight. Update 11/26/14 A technician came out last night and made sure the part was secure to both of my doors. He was very nice and efficient. As they did come out and fix the problem I would consider them for future work.

When the gentlemen first came to the house, they did an evaluation of what windows and doors we wanted the system installed on. They installed all of the sensors and the panel, trained us on how to use the system. Just as they were about to leave, I remembered I forgot to tell them about the smoke alarm. The guys added the smoke alarm to the system. Everything was installed great. After installation, I had a problem with panel flashing due to being on instant. I call the guys, this was the first time this was a problem but they contacted the manufacturer and resolved the problem in no time.

I called several companies and talked with them to get estimates and details about how their products work. I was the most impressed with ProTecht because of what was available, as well as the customer service that was presented to me. I spoke with Theo and he walked me through the process and assisted me in checking pricing and ensuring that I was getting a good deal. He followed up with me through email and we got everything arranged very quickly and we scheduled for the next day. Theo came out to my house, did a general walk through and advised on what he felt would be necessary for me to have and to use. Having never used a security system in my own home, I was very appreciative of it. It took him an hour and a half to get everything set up and installed. He explained how to set up other users on the account and all the little "tricks" that I never would have thought about. The only problem that I had was not his fault at all. The main panel has to be hooked up through an outlet. At around 11 I received a notice to my phone that the power was low. I played around with the system and realized that there was no way I could figure it out on my own. I called the monitoring company and they tried to troubleshoot with me, but to no avail. After a few minutes of speaking with them, they advised that I call ProTecht and have them come check it. I was at my wits end and decided to try and switch outlets. When I bent down, I realized that there are two connectors that lead into the outlet and one of them had gotten loose. It was such a simple fix and now my system is back up and running smoothly. I was very impressed with both ProTecht and the monitoring company. As of now, I am pleased to be in business with them.

We initially chose them because their price was the best among vendors we researched and they are affiliated with a legit home security system- Monitronics. Our installer was professional and courteous and didn't try to any additional hardware or services. Additionally, when we had a malfunctioning censor, Theo came out that day and replaced it at no charge. I'd definitely recommend them.

Theo arrived later in the day so that I did not have to take off from work. He was knowledgeable and professional.

It works just fine! The company did an excellent job for us and we were very happy. It works just as advertised. We know from a few accidental trippings through the door that it works and they are very quick to call and see if there are any problems.

They showed up for the scheduled appointment on time. They were just in charge of the sales and install. They were pretty hands off, but the install went fine.

We have been using their service for around 18 months. The price is good as well as their customer service.

I contacted Theo after someone had broken into both of my cars. Since I'm new to the neighborhood I figured the next logical step was to equip my home with a security system. Theo was incredibly helpful and responsive and even came out the very next evening! Once he arrived at my home we discussed how my family would use the system and decided on the equipment that was needed. Everything was installed and operational in a little over an hour! He walked me through all the functions and offered to show me how everything, including the mobile app, worked. I will recommend ProTecht to my friends and will absolutely consult them in the future, if needed.

He was terrific. He helped us determine our needs and then in less than one hour and a half, he set up the system. He then instructed three members of my family on how to use it. We've been very pleased.

My existing alarm service in Cincinnati balked at driving to Louisville to install a new system on a timely basis. I reviewed several alarm services posted on Angie's web site and decided on Pro Techt. The owner, Kenny, in Indianapolis promptly answered my call, explained his service and discussed the pricing. He also explained that he has several clients in the Louisville area. Kenny was very flexible in his scheduling. He arrived promptly and made a thorough review of the existing system and determined that the entire system needed to be replaced, although in our phone conversation it appeared that he might be able to utilize a portion of the existing system. Kenny never hesitated in holding the installation cost of $69 although he had to install a complete new system. Kenny was very professional ,personable and diligent in installing my new system. Actually I like the new system much better than the Cincinnati system, as the new system is much more user friendly and intuitive . The national monitoring system he uses again was very user friendly and priced reasonably. The fob and smart phone app are both very useful. Just one week after I relocated to Louisville I have an alarm system that I'm very pleased with.. Kenny was a good young man and I'd highly recommend him to other Angie's clients.

The installation would have gone exceptional but our home had some wiring issues. This had nothing to do with the skill and expertise of the installer. He went out of his way to get our system up and running. He spent a lot of his personal time in assuring us that he'd get it up and running. It works great now!

It was good. We have been pretty happy so far. The whole installation was $200. The amount of equipment that they gave at no cost was impressive. The response time from my initial request of the system to the installation was quick. The monitoring cost per month is low but we had to agree to a 3 year deal. That was a none issue to us because we plan to have it for the time that we live here.

They're great. I highly recommend them. They're very responsive and they're fast. They're quick. It was just a little wiring problem and they're back the next day and fixed it and the training was really good. They showed us how to use the system and explained things. The installer was the owner and he really knew what he was doing. I've have recommended them to several people since then.
