Overall he showed up at the time and date that we agreed upon, and was finished in the alloted time he had originally proposed in the estimate. What impressed us most was that it was truly dust-free. Upon him leaving the residence, there was no dust residue in any other part of the house, which solidified in our minds that we had made the right choice.

Carl did a great job on our floors. Because we had a special width pattern and bevel, he had to match and special-order the wood. It blends perfectly with what was already here, and the refinished floors look wonderful.

I called the owner, Carl, who gave me a rough estimate over the phone. I asked him to come to the house and measure the rooms and give me a firmer quote. After he came to the house and gave me the quote, I signed the contract and he scheduled the work the next week. He told me I should remove my pets from the house because the smell of the epoxy would be too strong for them. The day of the work, he and his staff arrived at my home on time. They had my carpet and pad removed within an hour. He repaired and replaced the floor and started the sanding process. I was amazed how well he repaired the floor. It matched perfectly. They sanded and refinished the floor and it looks great. Pro Sand advertises as dust free and they lived up to it. I will hire him again when I am ready to refinish the three bedrooms and hallway.

The floors look great! I could not be happier with the floors. Although, the good job they did was over-shadowed by all of the damage they did to my house in the process of getting the job done. I asked the owner Carl, to please use the back door and not the front door because it has a newly stained deck and I am concerned about them damaging the deck with their equipment. He used the front entrance anyway and chipped wood off of each stair and landing on the deck. A large chunk of wood 1'' x 6'' long was chipped off the deck from them pulling heavy equipment over the deck. They also smacked their equipment into the walls and baseboards which will have to be touched up by me. I will have to spend at least one to two days fixing all of the damage they caused. They are not at all respectfully of your property. Although they did do a fine job on the floors at a very reasonable price, I would have preferred to spend much more and not have the damage to my house.

excellent experience very professional, dust free sanding system was a great addition, that lived up to its billing, the companies 5 year warranty was a major selling point. Prosand was prompt and completed all work on time. Prosand exceeded all our expectations and comes highly recommended.

I am a commercial contractor, but was in residential for 25 years prior. Pro Sand Hardwood Floor Company is the best in the city of Indianapolis. He gives you a great service at an honest price. He realizes it is a small city and work will be talked about with neighbors and family. Nice to find someone with old fashioned values and work ethic. You deal with the owner of the company, nothing is lost in the translation from sales to field guys.

I couldn't get anyone to move my furniture in time and called him on Monday and Friday to let him know I was unable to get the furniture moved and needed to reschedule. On Monday I left a message and on Friday his phone was disconnected. He called on Saturday and said he didn't get the message and that his phone was working. He immediately hung up the phone, which I was disturbed by.

Carl was able to do the job in just one day. There was very little dust and he was very efficient. He was also reasonably priced too.

WHEN THE REP CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE TO DO THE ESTIMATE, HE WAS POLITE AND DIRECT ABOUT HOW HE WOULD WORK ON THE FLOOR. HE WAS ALSO UPFRONT ABOUT HIS SCHEDULE, AND WHEN HE COULD DO THE WORK. HE ALSO INFORMED US AT THE TIME OF THE ESTIMATE THAT THE FUMES WOULD HANG LOW IN THE HOUSE WHILE THEY DRIED, AND INFORMED US THAT CHILDREN AND PETS SHOULDN'T BE AROUND WHILE IT DRIED. HE SHOWED UP AT THE TIME AND DATE WE AGREED, AND WAS DONE IN THE TWO DAY TIME FRAME THAT HE INDICATED. HE EXPLAINED THAT A DARK STAIN WOULD TEND TO SHOW IMPERFECTIONS. ONCE THE WOOD WAS SANDED BARE, HE HAD US BACK TO THE HOUSE TO DO A TEST SPOT OF THE STAIN. WE WENT AHEAD WITH A LIGHTER STAIN, AS OUR FIRST CHOICE WAS A LITTLE DARKER THAN EXPECTED. SO WE REALLY LIKED THAT WE GOT TO SEE THE STAIN THAT WE WANTED ON OUR FLOOR INSTEAD OF JUST IN A SAMPLE. WE WERE PRETTY HAPPY, AND WILL RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY PARENTS, WHO ARE GOING TO REDO THEIR HOME.

We didn't exactly watch the entire process, as were somewhat worried that it wouldn't turn out like we thought it would. My husband drove up to take a look at it after the stain was applied, and before they put the finish coating stuff on it at the end. What we liked about the final product was that it sort of still showed the wood grain through the whiteness. Sort of like old weathered boards you would see at the shore. We'd seen other whitewash floor jobs at friends' cottages that were just white. We liked the balance between the white and the wood color. The workers showed up on time and did what they said they would. It took an extra day as Carl said he thought this type of stain should take an extra day to dry. We were a little put off by this, but ultimately it didn't make a difference because we weren't living in it at that time. Basically our experience with it was positive, overall.

THE FLOORS WERE SANDED OK AND CARL BECAME BELLIGERENT ABOUT GETTING THE ENTIRE SUM OF HIS MONEY FOR THE JOB. I GAVE HIM $1800 AND TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD GIVE HIM THE REST WHEN THE JOB WAS FINISHED. WE GAVE HIM THE REST UPON COMPLETION BUT HAD NOT YET SEEN THE FINISHED PRODUCT. TO OUR SHOCK AND HORROR EVERYTHING WAS NOT ONLY WRONG BUT THERE WERE NEW PROBLEMS. HE DID NOT REFINISH ALL OF THE FLOORING THAT HAD BEEN SANDED. THERE ARE PARTS THAT HAVE BEEN REFINISHED AND PARTS THAT HAVE NOT. HE USED THE WRONG COLOR VARNISH AND MIXED IT WITH MY SILVER SPOONS. HE LIED ABOUT THE WATER DAMAGE THAT HAD OCCURRED IN SOME AREAS. HE RIPPED OUT MY ELECTRICAL OUTLETS, SCRAPED MY NEWLY PAINTED WALLS WITH HIS SANDER, AND TOOK THE SHADES OFF OF MY LAMPS TO USE FOR LIGHTING (AS IT BECAME OBVIOUS THAT HE DID THIS AT NIGHT, HE LEFT THEM ON THE FLOOR) AND THERE IS VARNISH ON MY WALLS AS WELL. THE BASEBOARDS ARE BADLY DAMAGED, AND HE DINGED AND CHIPPED THE BRAND NEW DOOR FRAMES. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE.

We were still staying in the house during this process, and stayed all night in a hotel when they finally put the last coat on. We would pop in from time to time during the day to check on progress, which they seemed comfortable with. So we didn't feel like they were cutting corners or anything when we weren't around. We were concerned about the baseboards getting beat up, but everything looked pretty good. They explained that they'd sanded over a metal room divider, but they replaced it at their cost. They took all the trash with them, and we really didn't have anything left to do besides put the furniture back. We wanted to hire their workers to put the furniture back, but they explained that their insurance didn't cover that. It was a bit of a drag finding people to move furniture back, so it would've been nice if they provided that service. Otherwise, our overall experience was pleasing. My wife will probably recommend them to her aunt, who has a house like ours that needs work.

Job 1: Carl, showed up, listened to what we had to say & wanted. I was nervous that the new stain wouldn t match the floor. He showed us a sample of the stain on the floor. We were concerned abt. the dust as our daughter is asthmatic. The dust free system used limited the dust to almost non-existent. He completed the finishing & by that evening we could be back in our house. He was late 1 day, but called to let us know. Good experience & will recommend them. Job 2: We recently had our floors completed by Pro Sand. We didn t add any stain, just had them sanded & finished w/a natural finish. We did 4 rooms .The floors were pretty scratched up. After the Co. completed the job, they looked brand new. We were on a tight deadline as we had a signed lease, w/part of the stipulation to the tenants were redoing the floors. After the workers finished at abt 6PM on the last day, the tenants could move in the following day. The floors are great. We appreciated them being on time, & on schedule.

HE WAS SUPPOSED TO SHOW ON A THURSDAY AND NEVER CAME. WE CALLED ALL DAY AND FINALLY GOT A CALL BACK AROUND 11PM THAT NIGHT. HE ACTED LIKE HE HADN'T RECEIVED OUR MESSAGES AND SAID HE WAS JUST CHECKING IN FOR TOMORROW. IT WAS A GOOD THING I WAS OFF WORK FRIDAY, BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO BE THERE SINCE I HAD TAKEN ALL DAY OFF THURSDAY FOR THE ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT. HE DID SHOW FRIDAY, BUT THE WORK WAS NOT TO THE LEVEL HE HAD SUGGESTED. THE FLOORS DID NOT MATCH AND THE FINISH LOOKED HORRIBLE. HE HAD TO COME BACK AND RE-SAND SOME ROUGH AREAS, BUT IT DIDN'T HELP THE OVERALL APPEARANCE OF THE FLOORING. THE DAY OF THE WORK, HE TOLD US THAT THE FINISH WOULD BE TOXIC TO OUR SMALL DOGS, SO WE WOULD NEED TO HAVE THEM OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR 24 HOURS, WHICH DIDN'T GIVE US ANY NOTICE TO PREPARE. IT HAS A BEEN A REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE AND WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE WORK REDONE.

THE OWNER, PADRONE, WAS POLITE AND WELL BEHAVED. HIS WORKMAN, WHO REPLACED THE FLOOR, WAS VERY GOOD, VERY POLITE AND VERY PROFICIENT. HOWEVER, THE REFINISHING WAS TERRIBLE THE FIRST TIME AND WORSE THE SECOND TIME. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

AFTER ANSWERING A FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE HOUSE, ETC, THE REP SAID 'YOU KNOW THAT WILL COST ABOUT $4000. DO YOU STILL WANT TO GO AHEAD WITH THE ESTIMATE?' (AS IF I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST!!) SET UP A DATE AND TIME FOR ESTIMATE. REP DID NOT SHOW. YOU ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION.

THEY HAD SLOPPY EDGES. I TALKED TO THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY WHO ACTUALLY DID THE WORK. HE CAME BACK AND WORKED ON THEM. THEY WERE VERY NICE OTHERWISE AND PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. THE PROCEDURE THEY USED CAUSED US TO HAVE TO LEAVE BECAUSE THE ODOR IS VERY INTENSE. THEY SAY IN THE BROCHURE THAT THE HOMEOWNER HAS TO BE GONE, BUT, IT DOESN'T SAY THAT YOU SHOULD BE GONE 2-3 DAYS. THE PROCEDURE THEY USED WAS CALLED ALISTRA. OVERALL, WE LIKED THE FINISH.

WE HAD SOME SNAFOOS HAPPEN DURING THE PROCESS. PLASTIC SHEETING FELL DOWN AND DEPOSITED GRIT ALL OVER THE FLOOR. FLOORS HAD TO BE REDONE. THROUGH IT ALL, CARL WAS DETERMINED TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT AND TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY. HE ALSO HAS A BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM STAIN COLOR. I WOULD RECOMMEND THE COMPANY DESPITE OUR PROBLEMS.

DID A GOOD JOB ON REPAIR. THEIR ESTIMATORS AND CALL BACK WAS NOT VERY GOOD. ONCE THEY DO THE WORK IT IS FINE.

REFINISHING ONLY! NO SUBCONTRACTORS. OWNER IS THE SERVICE PROVIDER. EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE. GAVE HIM A BONUS FOR CLEARING HIS CALENDAR TO SQUEEZE MY JOB IN. ONLY SERVICE IN TOWN FOR $2.00 / SQ. FT. PLUS LABOR. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

TO EVERYONE'S SURPRISE, THE FLOOR WAS A COMPLETE MESS. THEY IMMEDIATELY INFORMED US THE PROJECT WAS GOING TO BE MORE EXTENSIVE. UNBELIEVABLY IT WAS DONE AT THE ORIGINAL TIME DECIDED AT $1500 MORE. WE NOW HAVE GORGEOUS FLOORS TO BE PROUD OF.

OWNER DID NOT USE PROPER PROCEDURES WHEN FLOOR WAS LAID. SLOPPY EDGES, ATTITUDE VERY ABRUPT AND DISCOURTEOUS. PRICE WAS EXCESSIVE.
